9 Chapter 9: 6 Years
He went back to the clan hall and submitted the proof he picked up from the target. He went back to the mountain behind the clan to meditate to calm his emotions down and accept his new reality.
While he was meditating he saw a light blinking in his vision. It was the system notifications light. He had turned off notifications from the system before the mission.
He thought of the System and the interface again appeared in his vision. This time the interface was again showing only a single line.
[You have killed a spirit master, four rings, total age 4684 years are ready to be allocated.]
'Hnn!! I can also allocate spirit ring age from Spirit masters as well.'
Zeng Xin was surprised. As an assassin, he will have to kill other Spirit Masters and now he can allocate them to his own spirit ring. While he was thinking of the future missions and their reward for his cultivation, the system prompted again.

I still felt nothing but when I opened my status the changes were visible.

You can see a boy of around 5'2'' coming out from the mission hall. He is wearing a three-piece suit, black hair, blue eyes. There is charm around his face but his face is devoid of any emotion.
He is Zeng Xin, for the last 6 years he has been doing assignments as an assassin while training his Kryptonian Body. Though he has not been able to fully unlock his powers he still can use around 60% of them.
For the last 6 years he had been cultivating diligently as well, he is rank 37 now, his ring configuration is absurd. His routine for the last 6 years has always been the same.
Training in the Star Duo Forest, killing beast to increase his ring's age. Doing assignments and killing his targets to increase his rings age and cultivating the remaining time. He has left training his body 3 years ago, he is proficient in the art of killing now. Lesser steps, higher damage. He won't hesitate to kill anyone.
He has assassinated 100 targets till now including today's target. After completion of the hundredth mission, he will get a 5-year vacation where he only has to take an assignment once two months.
He went back to the mountain and thought of his system.

He still does not feel anything when age is added to his rings. He released his spirit rings, a red light started emitting from the ground, soon three red coloured rings started moving upward and shined brightly.
They released a huge pressure but soon retracted it and before anyone came to the mountain He fled back to the clan. Someone told him that the clan master has summoned him.
Zeng Xin reached the Elder Hall where his father, Zeng Ming, was discussing something with the elders, his grandfather, the grand elder, Zeng Shan, was also there.
Seeing him come inside, they stopped the discussion. Zeng Xin went inside and kneeled in front of his father.
"Black Warden has seen Clan Master," said Zeng Xin still kneeling like a knight on his knee.
"Rise up." Zeng Ming said satisfied by his actions.
"Today you have completed your 100th assassination, as per the determined reward, you are free to do whatever you want for the next 5 years but you have to come to the clan once every two months." Zeng Ming said and was waiting for Zeng Xin's reply.
"Thank you for the reward, Clan Master."
Zeng Xin was thinking for some time and then stood up and saluted him and went outside without anything else. He has never been outside the clan except for training and his missions, now he has 5 years to do anything he wants.
'What should I do now? Should I go to Shrek academy and get involved in the canon. It would be the best course of action and I can get some connections there as well.' He thought while flying back to his courtyard.
His mother was inside the courtyard. He went near his mother and hugged her.
"Mother, I have completed my hundred assignments. they have asked me to go on a vacation for the next 5 years. Where do you think I should go?"
Zeng Ming asked his mother while smiling a little. After his first mission, Zeng ming has total control over his emotions. He never smiles in front of anyone except his mother. No one has ever seen him with any other emotion except for his poker face. He only shows his true emotion in front of his mother.
"Xin'er, these 5 years are for you do to the things you always wanted to do. Why don't you go somewhere where you meet people of your age and make friends with them. Maybe you will also find a wife for yourself."
His mother said while teasing him a little. He has never gone outside the clan to play less meet other people but what she said is true as well.
'I will go to join Shrek and get involved in the canon.'
"Thanks, Mother, I know what I have to do now."
He said and went inside his room to prepare for his journey.
