Chapter- 15 The Journey Starts

The night had passed away and it will be always remembered by Max for his entire life. Even though he hadn't seen them dying himself but seeing those dead bodies were enough to scare him. After waking up Max was looking for Lucas, he was looking at the destroyed castle while walking. The ice was still intact there like a crystal. "Legendary beasts are very powerful; this ice still hadn't melted and I don't think it's going to melt any soon" Max said it aloud and walked off to another place.

In the destroyed castle or more like an ice castle now cause' of all this ice that was all over the castle. If people that have seen the castle before have to look at the castle now, they will find it hard to recognize it. And now with hundreds of people dying here last night had accumulated Death Energy here that will slowly change this place more, no one will be able to visit this castle again until the Death Energy will cleanse or removed from here.

After looking for some time Max had found Lucas and other on the top of castle, standing together while looking at the direction where the villagers used to live peacefully. Now it was empty and not a single person was seen there, when Max walk towards them Lucas turns around hearing his footsteps.

"Should we head out now? Or do you need to do something before heading to another kingdom" Lucas asked Max who was showing some determination in his eyes while standing in front of him. Form the moment Max was summoned in this world Lucas had never seen Max having any kind of confidence in himself but now it has changed.

"Death surely affects the mentality of everyone" Lucas thought while waiting for Max response, Max was thinking for a second before agreeing to head out now. To Max surprise Lucas had already packed everything for Max that will be necessary for him. Even though the castle was destroyed it wasn't that hard to find the supplies for four of them. After checking everything for the last time, Max was feeling a little gloomy cause' he and everyone else would have to walk to cross the forest. To everyone surprise Lucas had told them that they aren't going to the same kingdom that the villagers had gone to but they are going to another kingdom.

While Max was mentally preparing himself to walk for a long time, Donny came up with two horses and the instant Max saw those horses he mood instantly get better. Now he didn't have to walk anymore, Lucas and Max sat on one horse while Donny and Ron on the other one. Before heading out Lucas took a last glance at the castle that was his home for a very long time and took off to the direction for another kingdom. Lucas didn't take the same path as Henry; he was going to a different kingdom.

Lucas and others were heading at the kingdom that was on the East side, Henry was heading North from the Forest while, they were going to the East direction from the forest. Because of the God Crystal, horses didn't get scared from the beasts this time and they were able to travel without any fear from the beasts.

This was the first-time Max had entered the forest where beasts reside, he didn't know what kind of beasts they might have faced if Lucas hadn't taken the crystal last night. While Max and Lucas were traveling to their destination, at the same time a pitch-black portal was opened at the castle but no one came out from the portal. It was just hovering over the ground and nothing else.

After traveling for more than four hours everyone had decided to take a break and eat something before continuing their journey. Donny collected some woods to lit up a fire and started roasting the meat that they had bring with them, Ron took out some breads and everyone sat around to eat and chat. When everyone finishes their meal, Max asked Lucas to practice with him for a bit before heading out again. Both of them sparred for some time while Donny and Ron watched them for entertainment.

After having a good sparring session with Lucas everyone headed out again. While traveling Max wasn't able to use his skill and was feeling a little disappointed that he couldn't level it up sooner. All of them traveled for two days while taking breaks in the middle of their journey before reaching at the border of the kingdom they were heading too.

When Lucas and everyone stopped before the border, they could only see a pole with a board attached to it written with the words 'Old Nimerville'. After reading the sign Lucas came down from his horse and pull out a little pouch filled with some coins and placed it Infront of the Sign board and instantly the pouch disappeared and the words on board started to change 'Welcome to our kingdom Travelers'.

Seeing that the pouch had disappeared Lucas get back on the horse and crossed the border with others. Max was surprised to see that a board was collecting entrance fee and he asked Lucas "Lucas, what would have happened if we had crossed the border without giving the entrance fee? I don't see anyone here nobody would have known". Lucas didn't answer to Max question this time but Donny came close with his horse and said "Max, you think no one is watching us, right? But you're wrong that board was crafted with a magical wood and it's connected to a person inside the city who watches over the border" After knowing the reason behind it Max thought that it was similar to CCTV in his world where people installed them in their house or companies and person can look with a monitor on the other side.

"Then what would happen if someone cross the border without paying?" Max asked. "You would have disappeared just like the pouch from earlier" Donny said without a flinch on his face. After knowing what would have happened Max was thinking where would they have teleported them and is this teleportation is the same his skill Dimensional Travel. He will try to find out how this thing works later for now they needed to travel to the nearest city to replenish their supplies and have some rest all four of them were tired from the long journey.

While they had reached to the 'Old Nimerville' Henry was also standing in front of the border of the kingdom that he had planned to go to. Just like 'Old Nimerville' here was also a magical board and after paying the entrance fee to the board, Henry started heading inside the kingdom. While Henry had left alone on his journey from the 'Quewilire', there was someone with Henry this time. On his head a certain someone was sleeping while it was using its wings as a blanket to stay warm.

"It's time to wake up, we had arrived to 'Cinsstor'. Let's find more about the past here" Henry said it to himself and the creature resting on his head.
