Chapter- 7 System Activates

Max had picked up his weapon from the weaponry and he was heading toward the library. He didn't know where the library was. Luckily, he encountered some people there in the weaponry and they were more than happy to help Max. After getting the direction from them Max was walking toward the library which was on the other side of the castle on the second floor. They have told Max that the second floor is filled with art, books, and valuable collection.

"It would be very helpful if there's a record of my ability and how it works, if I can't find anything there about it, then I have to find another way to get equally powerful as others." Max was pondering over this on his way.

This system only shows me the detail of an item that I hold, well it can help in picking rare items or choosing a weapon of high grade but other than that I don't see any other benefit or power boost from it. How did the guy from legend become powerful with this ability? Did he encounter some mysterious master and get trained by him or get his hand on some powerful weapon?

Max had no idea how can he get stronger, he just knows that he learns things faster than others. Maybe the things people might take weeks or months to learn, Max can learn in a single day, he only got aware of this after Lucas told him about that and when he felt it on his own while sparring with Lucas. He had felt that his body was reacting faster and the skills Lucas had taught him felt very easy to use.

"I just hope there might be something useful in the library" Max prayed in his mind. While his future was uncertain for him, fate had already prepared things for him.

While Max was going to the library in one of the other rooms.

Specifically, In Henry's room, he was packing a bag with some spare clothes and some necessary items that he thought might be of use to him. Henry had decided to leave the castle today and will start his adventure while finding information about this world. He had to find out more about the third hero before that person come after him.

Henry had decided to travel to the other side of the forest and will go to the other kingdom to gather all the past information he can about the third hero. Henry was only 19 years old but unlike Max he was brave and calm, he takes action after gathering enough intel about anything. So, before he decides that he will fight for this world he wants to know more about it.

"I had already notified the king that I'll be leaving, so it won't be a problem anymore. I should head out now" Henry thought while he walked out of his room to start his adventure as well as find more about everything about this world.

Along the way Max was amazed by the paintings that were placed on the walls of the second floor, they were showing different places and some of them had king Albert in them. Max had not seen a single painting on the first floor but the second floor was an entirely different place it was more like a tourist spot as per Max's perspective. Everything was beautiful here and was designed so that it will enhance the look of other things that were there as decorative.

It was not like the first floor was bad looking it was just that the second floor was made a hundred times better than the first. "They said that the library will be the last room of the corridor on the second floor," Max remembered what those guys had said to him. After reaching the end of the corridor Max could see that gate of the library was designed beautifully and at top of it 'Records of History' was written on it.

Max pushed the door and enter the room to find out more about the past of this world, more specifically the past where he can get to know about the heroes and their powers. Max was expecting a huge library and a lot of books inside but it was nothing like that, he was disappointed to see that the room was big but not huge like he had expected and there were only around 300 or 400 books there.

Max looked for anyone there who can help him find out about any book related to heroes. But there was no one there to help him. He started looking for books related to past heroes on his own. Max was going through every section of books to find any related book but there was not a single book organized properly. "This is the library of a king and no one even thought of organizing them or storing related books in the same place" Max was cursing the person who had put all the books here this way.

After looking for more than an hour Max had finally found a book where the past events had been written, Max read the name of the book "Crisis of Past". He had picked up this book because of its name. Until now he had not found a book related to the past even after flipping some pages of every book he had looked and now after this long, he had found one. He was hoping he might get something useful from it.

It had been some time now and Max had finished reading the book, the book was written by a normal scholar from a village and she had mostly written about the disaster that happened in her village and near her village, how sometimes beasts attacked her village and how they have survived all of this. Max had only found one thing useful from this book, once a guy had saved their village and by the description of this guy, she had written in the book that guy was not a hero but he had a special ability, he was throwing fire out of his hands to kill the monsters.

At first, Max had thought that the guy mentioned in the book might be the one who had Henry's power in the past but when he read more, he gets to know that the author had seen all three heroes at that time but he was none of those three. This just made Max think about the time when Henry had told him he had seen someone saw using a special ability.

"Everyone here at the castle is lying, the king said we are special and can use special abilities but now I found out that others can also use the abilities what difference does our existence make here? I need to find out the reason behind their lies" Max was in the middle of his thought when something unexpected happened in front of him.

[System is ready to use now] these words were floating in front of Max and he was going through a mix of emotions, shocked, excited, and happy. Max was finally seeing hope in surviving this world.
