Chapter- 13 Secret Chamber

Max and Lucas had gone inside the castle that was nearly destroyed now. While Donny and Ron were preparing to bury the dead soldiers. Now that the king was dead Lucas was going to the throne room to retrieve something special from there.

"Max, I think it's time that you should know this. We had hidden something from you and Henry when you guys were summoned here. You guys are not the only ones with special ability there are others too." Lucas said while waiting for a response from Max.

"I already knew this" Max said looking at a little surprised Lucas. "When did you get to know about this?" Lucas asked Max to which he simply replied a name "Henry".

"That kid was exceptional, he found out about this without getting noticed by us," Lucas thought while praising Henry for his cleverness. The king and Lucas had decided to hide this fact cause' they wanted these kids to feel special and superior to others in this world. While not everyone had a special ability in this world but forty percent of the population had a special ability, some abilities were similar while some were unique.

To get ability in this world people have to learn it from someone else but not everyone was willing to share their ability with unknown peoples. Most of the abilities nowadays are passed in their families to keep themselves stronger, while if an outsider wants to learn it, they have to become a loyal servant to the family that had taught him the ability. In the past, even Lucas had tried to learn an ability but he was not lucky enough to find an ability user that was willing to teach him. In the end, Lucas decided to train his body physically and join the knights of this kingdom to protect the people here.

"Now you know that others have the ability, you should also know that they think of themselves as superior being compared to normal peoples. Even though you have an ability Max, your is not suitable for fighting. I think you should train your body physically and learn to use weapons and Beast weapons they will help you in fights against them" Lucas was telling Max everything honestly while Max was listening to him with his full attention.

"I have something to ask you, Lucas, What about the third hero? What's his ability? Henry told me that we should be careful with him and that he is not on our side" Max said. For Max, this was the most Troubled matter, if the third hero decides to show up what will he do? Max wants to know more about him so he can decide whether he will fight him or not.

"The thing is that nobody knows about his ability, there's no record of the last user using his ability in the past. But that person had betrayed the other two in a battle and thus all three ended up fighting." Lucas told Max regretfully cause he or any other didn't anything more about the third hero's ability.

"So, they ended up fighting each other? Who won the fight between them?'' Max asked Lucas and he fell silent for some seconds before answering "All three of them died according to the rumors from that time, it's been more than 500 hundred years now and a lot of things about you guys have been forgotten. Most of the people still think that there were three heroes but only a handful of know that one had become a villain in the end" Lucas said.

While Lucas was telling Max about all the stuff until they reached the throne room. When they arrived at the throne room Lucas gets inside the room first and gets where the throne was then he pushed the throne aside without much effort, when the throne was removed from its place what Max saw was quite surprising cause' there was a door built below the throne. Lucas opened the door of the secret passage and started heading down. "Come on kid, Hurry and come down here" Lucas's voice was heard from below, after that Max followed him and headed down to the chamber.

When Max reached the chamber that was built below the throne room, he was surprised to see how well its structures were built. This place was quite similar to what he had expected, he had seen a lot of similar places in the movies that he was used to watching in his world. He looked for Lucas was standing some meters ahead of him, Lucas was standing Infront of a small chest that was placed there. Surprisingly it was the only thing that can be seen inside this room other than the torches on the side of the wall.

Max walked towards Lucas while Lucas opened the small chest, the instant he opened the chest Lucas and Max both felt the heavy pressure that the item inside the chest was emitting. There was a single crystal inside the chest which was glowing with a faint yellow color however the pressure emitted by it was quite strong. But Lucas withstands the pressure and grabbed it, the second Lucas touched the crystal the heavy pressure they were feeling vanishes.

"What's this crystal, Lucas?" Max asked he was curious to know about this crystal that was emitting such a high pressure but now it was like a completely normal crystal ball made of glass. Before answering Max's question Lucas pull out his blade from the back and made a small cut on his finger. A small drop of blood comes out from his finger and he dropped the blood on the crystal when the blood touched the crystal, it started resonating and gave a yellow glow again but it faded back in some seconds. After it turned back to looking like a crystal ball Lucas put it inside the small chest again.

"This is something that will come in handy in the future, if we use this it will increase our chance of survivability against high-level Beast," Lucas said while Max was thinking he could probably get more information if he hold the crystal in his hand but he didn't want to hold the crystal after seeing how much pressure it had given off earlier.

"If It's that powerful as you say then why didn't the king use it earlier against that Beast? Why did he get into a fight without taking this thing with himself?" Max questioned Lucas. Lucas himself was wondering why didn't the king use this to fight the Beast, maybe he knew this might not work against that Beast or it would have been a waste to use it against that Beast and leave it here thus someone else can use it.

"I don't know why he didn't use it but I can assure you with this even if a Demonic Beast showed up here, I'm confident that we will be able to survive that" Lucas assured Max while taking the chest in his hand he started walking off towards the stairs to go upstairs. Max was standing there for a second looking around the room, he was just going to follow Lucas until the system screen popped up in front of him.

[...…...The system has sensed a Faint presence of the damaged God crystal. The user is too weak to use it or absorb it. Thus, it will be better if the user doesn't get into its presence again it can destroy the user's soul.]
