Chapter-3 Henry Clifton

Max somehow was feeling that this guy was like him, a hero. Seeing him coming toward him with a carefree smile on his face Max felt like he was just walking in the garden to lighten his mood. He stopped right in front of Max looking at him curiously, "So you're the second person that they have summoned, I'm Henry Clifton" Henry greeted Max while extending his arm for a handshake towards Max. Max was hesitant at first but after seeing him talking nicely Max extended his hand for the shake but the moment their hand touched Henry's expression changed and he grabbed his hand tightly and slammed him to the ground.

"What the hell is he doing," Max thought while he was also feeling pain in his back from getting slammed on the ground unexpectedly like this. Max stands up and looked toward Henry, demanding an explanation for the action that he did.

While all of this was happening Lucas was just sitting on the ground looking forward to seeing what will happen, this time Lucas was smiling and looking at them. "This guy has been trouble from the start, let's see what else will he do now," Lucas thought while hoping to see some action between two heroes from legend.

"It was just a joke buddy, I was just having some fun with you don't take it seriously" Henry's expression changed again, and now he was back with his carefree smile on his face. "This guy will surely die or will hold us back if we have to work in the same group," Henry thought while looking at his weak body and naive nature to trust someone, also keeping up his smile towards Max.

"Look like nothing is going to happen between these two" Lucas thought feeling a little disappointed cause he had grown up hearing the tales of these legendary heroes and he wanted to see what these guys are capable of. Until now Henry was doing great in his training and had not shown any exceptional traits in his fighting session, so Lucas was hoping maybe he will show some of his strength against other heroes.

"Maybe sometime in the future I'll be able to see their strength, 'sigh' until then I'll just have to wait for that moment" Lucas wanted to see their actual strength even though somewhere in his mind he knew that he can beat both of them right now if he wants to. But he also knew that they need to unlock their powers to help their world which can go on a war anytime.

"Are you not training today, Henry?" Lucas breaks the tension between them. Max did not want to talk anymore with Henry because of his behavior today. "Who jokes like this? Like slamming someone on the ground the first time they meet" Max was angry he had gotten a bad impression of Henry cause of this joke that Henry made. Max was clearly showing dislike towards Henry which was visible on his face.

"I already had completed my training. I was just resting here for a bit then I saw you coming here with him, so I waited to see how well will he do" Henry started talking about his training and other stuff but he was also looking at Max in the middle of the conversation. "His power is the most useless out of us three, I just can't understand how the people from the past consider him as powerful as us" Henry wasn't able to point out how this useless power had become one of the three legendary powers in the past.

"Hey, I know you think badly of me but I want to talk to you about something, so contact me when you're in the mood to talk to me. You can find me most of the time here on the grounds or just contact me through crystal if I'm not here" Henry walked off after saying this to Max and nodding towards Lucas. "I don't want any business with that crazy guy," Max thought while he again started practicing with the sword on his own.

Lucas was just looking at the back of Henry while he was walking toward the gate of the grounds. But didn't say anything more, "Let's continue with your practice Max" Lucas walked towards Max, and this time Lucas pointed his spear towards Max. "hey hey hey wait, why are you suddenly pointing your spear towards me? Max got a little scared when he saw a pointed spear towards him and out of everyone Lucas was the one holding it. "Don't worry I won't use my full strength against you but you have to give your best. It will help you grow faster, all of you hero has high growth potential and you guys learn things faster than us" Lucas comforted Max that he won't hurt him in this little spar of theirs. Max felt a little assured knowing this.

Max also got into a stance that Lucas had taught him earlier, he was holding his sword in his right hand with the hilt towards Lucas and the blade was pointing at the opposite side. Lucas was the first one to make a move against Max and thrust his spear toward him but Max dodged it with a little effort. Max was surprised to see he was able to react on time and sprinted toward Lucas while swinging his right hand on the left side of Lucas's and his sword made contact with Lucas's spear, and Lucas defended the attack from Max easily.

But Lucas hadn't expected that Max will switch his hand in the middle of an attack, that was something Max had done on his own and he made another slash towards Lucas which Lucas easily blocked again. Max was surprised to see that he can make the same movement with his left hand that he can make with his right, Max wasn't good with his left hand but now he was using it easily like his right hand. Luca's spear was proving its worth with its long range of attack it was also great for defense which Lucas used against Max.

For now, Max was attacking a little aggressively towards Lucas with all his strength but he was not completely reckless with his move. Lucas was observing Max and he was surprised to see that Max was using a combination of all the stances and moves he used earlier toward Lucas. Lucas had a grin on his face while looking toward Max "These kids are really scary" Lucas thought while defending against Max's attacks without having a sweat.

"I think it's time to end this little spar of ours, this much is enough for today," Lucas thought while he changed his stance and stopped defending. Lucas thrust his spear for the second time during the whole match. Max saw the spear coming toward him and he planned to dodge it again like last time but Max didn't expect that the spear will bend towards the direction where he was dodging.
