18 Chapter 18. Enchantment

"Alright. Let's try out enchantment."

After taking a warm bath, I sat on the desk with several materials in my hands. Tonight, for the first time I will try to enchant an item.

Enchantment. Unlike spells which use mana to use magic directly, enchantment uses mana to infuse a magic into an item making it usable by anyone.

The best example is the protagonist's sword – Vibration sword. That sword is also a magic tool, a byproduct of enchantment.

"Let's start with the most basic enchantment."

I took out the cheap knife I used to dismantle the boar during the hunt. It was already chipped, well-fitting of its price.

Using enchantment is very simple. First, imagine the enchantment I want to inscribe and then put it in the item from the tip of a finger or a wand.

[Strengthen]

I tapped the knife after thinking of it, and soon the knife glowed with mana. But as soon the light faded, it cracked into pieces.

"Of course, it wouldn't work. This is a cheap knife after all."

And I forgot to inform you one more thing. Enchantment is the most expensive type of magic. You need expensive, quality materials to infuse proper enchantments or else it won't work.

"It was good that I prepared an extra material."

The demon boar's tusk. I took it out from my subspace and put it down on the desk. It was smart of me to keep the extra tusks and fangs of multiple demon boars and demon wolfs from the hunt.

"Let's try it again."

[Strengthen]

And this time I enchanted the same spell on the tusk. It glowed just like the knife and soon after the light dimmed, leaving the white tusk.

"Is it done?"

I took it in my hands started to appraise it, to make sure if this tusk has any damage like that cheap knife. And just I thought, it was all clean.

It was good that it wasn't damaged but that doesn't mean that it was enchanted. I got hold of it within my palms and pressed it with all of my strength.

"This…"

[Reinforcement x1]

Using reinforcement, I pressed down with more strength. The tusk creaked a bit, but still there was no sign of it of breaking down.

"To think it really worked. Is enchantment that simple?"

Of course, it is not! It is much harder, but having the perks of being a reincarnator, it came out to me as simple as writing a word with a pen.

"If it's that simple, then…"

All I have to do is collect more quality items and start to make my products. As expected, I love fantasy world. Making money in such world is easy as breathing!

And after that, I went on a hunting spree. I hunted, hunted and hunted throughout the day to collect more materials. I was indulged in hunting so much that I even forgot about Miria.

"Ross, did you complete my order?"

"Oh! It's Kurt-sama! Yes, I have completed your order."

'To think he calls me with that respectful tone even though I haven't introduced myself as a noble.'

But what can he do? Ross is the owner of the leather shop that handles on leather items. But being a low-key worker, nobody comes to his store despite his great skill. And me coming to his store for a commission is like a god sent gift to him.

Soon, Ross ran back and came with a basket of leather pouches made from demon skins. And to my surprise, they were much better than I thought.

"How are they?"

"Good. They are better than I expected. Here, take it."

"This…"

"Take it. An extra coin for its quality. I will come again to your shop."

"T-Thank you, Kurt-sama!"

I smiled looking at his crying face, and left the shop. It feels good to help someone. And he will never forget this kindness.

And this way I have made an everlasting impression in him. When I start mass production of these pouches and I will need quality craftsmen.

"And Ross my friend will help me that time."

From now on, I am Kurt Von Ritzburg, the capitalist!

---

"This time the imagination has to be more concrete."

Before, I just thought of the knife to become more stronger, and somehow it worked. But if I just think for the expansion of space, I have a feeling it wouldn't work.

"I have to think of a specific amount of space."

I need to get the dimensions right to successfully to expand the space in this pouch. How much should I start with?

"Let's start with most basic."

Using millimeter cube is too small. One and ten-centimeters cube would of the same size as the pouch. Fifty-centimeters won't be ideal as well.

"I should start with hundred."

And once again and I started to enchant. Pointing my finger on the bag, I imagined it be having the extra space of about hundred-centimeter cube inside it.

But before the completion of enchantment, I also need to inscribe a certain method for its activation. The knife and tusk were one use item, but this pouch needs to be used for a long time. Just enchanting it with a magic won't be enough.

"The method of activation should be blood."

I remember reading a manhua, where the protagonist drops a blood into a new space ring to make it his own. And after it, only he can access the contents inside the ring infusing his qi into it.

And I also thought of implementing this idea into the pouch. The user can drop his blood after his purchase and after that the pouch will only give access to him till his death. And the storage item being a pouch also removes the requirement of infusing an energy to access the storage.

"This is going to be a hit."

I could see the future of every single person having this pouch on their waist instead of bags and other miscellaneous items. I will get the patent and monopolize it and then…

Boom!

"Cough! Cough! Damn, what happened?!"

Black fumes came out from the desk. Using wind magic, I removed the smoke and all left was a black burnt pouch as an aftermath of the enchantment.

"As expected, it isn't that simple."

But instead of being helpless, I took out a new pouch and started to enchant it right away. As a villain, the most important skill to possess is patience.

And me? I am expert in it!
