4 Training montage activate

AN: Sorry I have been gone for three months, I have just had to study, prepare, and do some really tough exams in my school so I have been mentally dead for about a month after that. I hope to be able to write some more chapters in the coming future. Anyway I hope you enjoy the chapter, remember to vote for your love interest in the bottom of the chapter, since it has been narrowed down to two choices from the previous list.

Toji POV Age: 5

It has been 2 years since I joined Ua's quirk help program, where the teachers help me and the rest of the participants to learn how to use our quirk with maximum efficiency. Honestly, I have learned more about my powers now than when I was just alone in the garden and meditating. For example, I found out that I cannot use my cursed energy inside my body to strengthen it, not that I needed to strengthen my body much anyway. I think this is because I technically have Toji's body and he was incapable of using cursed energy so that was a surprise for me. However, what I did find out is that I am way stronger then kids that are older than me that have a strength quirk, this was discovered quite quickly and I was immediately taught how to control my strength by death arms. Another thing that I discovered was that I had a massive amount of cursed energy that covered my body. I am currently in the UA gymnasium with the space hero: 13, training to better control my cursed energy and a better way to manipulate it. The school thought her to be the best option since she had also been apart of an accident which was different but similar to what happened to me as well as the fact that she had gone through the program that I was going through now.

Toji POV Age: 10 (I will continue on from here)

School sucks, it has been 3 years since I got the stamp of approval by UA to rejoin kids my age and school is the most useless shit I have ever done. They are more focused on quirks rather than education and the teachers always find a need to keep the other kids away from me even though I have gotten a stamp of approval from UA, but I don't really care. Even though I have been told that I didn't need to attend any more session of the UA program I have asked them to recommend me a dojo where I can practice martial arts and they recommended a cool dojo that is way out of budget for the orphanage so I just went online and I found a dojo that taught Taekwondo in the budget range the only downside was that it was in a shady region of Musutafu, where the orphanage is. But honestly that didn't matter much as I was currently walking towards the dojo without hesitation. I stopped in front of the dojo and it said "Decha Dojo", I cracked my neck and entered the dojo. As soon as I entered the smell of smoke crushed me, it was so bad that if i couldn't see I would have assumed that there was a fire going on. The second smell was sweat yet I couldn't hear anyone working hard. I walked further into the dojo and on the training mat all I saw was a skinny old man that look like he would crumble to ash if you touched him. He was going through some kind of fighting movements so I sat down and observed around me. I saw a giant trophy case filled with trophies and belts, and tons of equipment that looked worn and torn. I decided to focus more on the old man, the old man was short, he had long white hair, he was slightly brown I would guess from his looks that he came from Thailand. But what caught my attention the most were the multiple scars that littered over his body. As i was distracted with my thoughts and observations a raspy voice said

"What are you doing here kid? this isn't a place for you"

"I came here to learn how to fight"

"TCH, why would a boy like you need to learn martial arts"

"So that I can become a hero and save people"

"*Sigh* another person lost in the hero facade, let me tell you kid, as someone who has personally been through the hero life and has the scars to remind me. It isn't worth it. In the end the end you will have spent your entire life chasing glory and fame just to end up becoming a victim to the committee."

"I don't care about any of that, I just want to learn how to fight. I don't care if I break down as long as I can save someone and be the reason that the world becomes a safer place"

"*snort* I like your dream kid, it reminds me of when I was young and a fool. Alright I'll teach you some martial arts, but if you don't show any willingness to learn or any potential then you have to go no questions asked, alright?"

"Sounds good to me sir"

"Alright then kiddo, c'mere and show me what you got, ahh! But first of all tell me your quirk so I can know where to start you off"

"Alright well I have one quirk but they could technically be seen as two quirks. The first part of my quirk allows me to be able to manipulate what I call cursed energy to coat my outer body, and I also feel like it could do more. The second part makes my body tougher to an inhuman extent and it does the same to my strength"

"hmmmm, you are certainly a strong one huh boy. Well anyway I wanna create a rule for you now so listen up. You are not allowed to use your energy unless I give you permission. And before you ask it will become a crutch for you if you only rely on the energy. So when in my dojo you follow my rules, understood?"

"Yes Sir"

"good, now lets start"

"Um, start what sir?"

"Well I am going to teach you some taekwondo and muay Thai"

And so began my journey learning under who I came to call the demonic instructor (Although never, and I mean never to his face)

Small timeskip

Decha's training is incredibly difficult, I have been trying my hardest to keep up with his training while maintaining my Cursed Energy quirk training but the physical tole that the training put on my body are immense. In the beginning of our time together Decha was rather lenient with his training not realising the extent of my Toji physique. However, the second he realised just how strong and tough my body is, my training immediately got tougher. He has me come straight from school and stay at his dojo until quite late, so when we first started my caretakers got a bit worried and suspicious of Decha but after a couple of visits they came to like him, but they still asked him to have me back by a certain extent. I have been training for 5 months and I have already seen quite the process with my fighting ability, I would say that I lean more towards Muay Thai as it is an incredibly powerful way of fighting and is nicknamed "the art of eight limbs". I was currently practicing some combos on a wooden dummy, with each of my hits making it shake and the sounds of flesh crashing against wood echoing in the dojo, when Decha came up to me and said

"Alright Toji stop for now and take a small rest, I have something to say and you will listen"

I immediately stopped and sat down on an old wooden bench while wiping sweat of my brow, I looked at Decha and said

"Go ahead sensei, I am listening"

He grunted in reply before saying

"I have signed you up for a martial arts tournament happening in Tokyo in 5 days, I will not be able to accept no for an answer and you will win"

"W-What, Why did you do that!?"

"I did it because training will only get you so far, it is experience that differentiates novices and pro's. I already know that you are reaching a plateau in your process and I believe that this tournament will benefit you. It will be difficult but knowing you, success will not be extremely hard to achieve. Anyway continue where you left off and let your caretakers know that you will travel with me to Tokyo in 5 days and will be gone for 2 days."

"Shit, this is too sudden but i'll try to convince them when I go back"

I responded while staring at the floor only hearing a grunt in reply. I sighed before sipping some water and going back to practicing, except now I am practicing my taekwondo while thinking about the tournament.

Time Skip

I reached the orphanage and knocked on the door, thinking about how I am meant to approach talking to Aia and the rest about allowing me to go to the tournament. The door opened and I looked up to see Aia smiling down at me, she quickly gave me a hug before leading me inside and to the dinner table. As I was eating I asked Aia to bring down all of the caretakers since I had something to request of them. After about a minute or two the rest of the caretakers were sitting at the dinner table while looking at me expectantly. I swallowed my saliva and said

"I wanted to ask if I could go to Tokyo in 5 days with Sensei Decha to a martial arts tournament"

"No, I do not want you to go"

Aia immediately said, which made me do a spit take before asking

"Why not!? I will only be gone for 2 days and there is a cash reward for the winner. Plus the tournament will only help me with my training."

Before Aia could deny me again the rest of the caretakers stopped her and took her to the other room leaving only Miss Mia, the oldest of the caretakers, to talk to me.

"Toji, I know that you want to go to the tournament but think of it from our perspective. You will be leaving us for 2 days with a man that, while we have met some times, we know hardly anything about. You must understand that for Aia, who basically views you as her own flesh and blood, you will go and be fighting other kids with an unknown man, it worries her"

I looked down at this, I didn't want to admit it but throughout our years together I had started seeing Aia as something akin to a mother. I just now started to think about how she might have perceived my request, and honestly I did understand where she was coming from but I had to go compete in this tournament as it would definitely help me proceed to the next level of Dechas training as I was still in, what he called, "baby mode training".

"I understand Miss Mia but I really need to go compete in this tournament. It will help me be stronger"

Miss Mia smiled and was about to say something until the door to the dining room opened up and revealed a puffy eyed Aia followed by the rest of the caretakers. Aia looked at me and said

"*sniffle* A-alright Toji, I h-have talked to the rest of the girls and we have decided to l-let y-you compete in Tokyo, but in order for you to g-go you need to accept these conditions, understood"

"Yes Miss Aia, I understand"

"Good. 1, you will need to take a 2 week long break from going to the dojo after the tournament. 2, you need to call us every single day at least three times, for example, in the morning, afternoon, and before you go to sleep. and 3, try to have some fun while you are in Tokyo. Ever since the... incident you never talk to anyone other than me and the rest of the caretakers and all you do is train, so take the time to relax. Can you promise to follow these "

I smiled at her and said

"I promise, Miss Aia"

The next few days were quick to pass, especially considering the fact that my training in the dojo was considerably cut down, since Decha said that I shouldn't risk injury before the tournament. Now I was standing in front of the competition hall in Tokyo when I looked at the banner on top and screamed at Decha asking why...

"...IS THERE SUCH A BIG AGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME AND THE REST OF THE KIDS!!??"
