Chapter 24 - Following Fate

Wang Tian came out of Lin Hou's fate core wondering.

With just one fate core, he was able to comprehend a lot of things about Fate. Perhaps it was because he only knew a little about Fate.

Back when Wang Tian was looking at Liu Kong's fate core, he was only seeing the possible future Liu Kong might go through in his life.

The things Wang Tian saw back then hadn't happened yet. So Fate hadn't made any movement.

That's why Wang Tian didn't notice anything from Fate when he was looking at Liu Kong's fate core.

It was only when Wang Tian saw the moment the law of Fate moved that Wang Tian noticed something. As Fate moved, Wang Tian could feel the effect of that movement.

At the end of it, he had a great mastery over the law of fate.

Staring at the rest of the fate cores, Wang Tian decided against looking inside all of them.

His current understanding of Fate was enough.

It's not necessary to comprehend more of Fate.

He had the Authority.

Even without having mastery over Fate, he could utilize the Authority to use Fate or any other laws inside the world.

Being able to control Fate directly without using the Authority was definitely better.

However, Wang Tian didn't think he would need to do that. His proficiency in Fate was enough for him to do whatever he wanted in the mortal world without using the Authority.

While Wang Tian was looking at the fate cores, something seemed to poke at his mind.

It was giving him the thought to go somewhere.

If someone else didn't know any better, they would just go along with this train of thought and they wouldn't even realize it didn't come from their thought.

But Wang Tian knew what it was.

It was Fate.

Fate was giving hints to him about something.

Perhaps because his proficiency in Fate was high enough, Fate wanted him to do something.

To be honest, Wang Tian could just ignore this. He could even control Fate to do whatever he wants!

But, since he got nothing else to do, Wang Tian decided to go along with Fate.

Currently, Wang Tian was still free for the next few decades. His main soul was still in the process of familiarizing himself with the Authority.

And his small consciousness over here was free.

Hence, Wang Tian decided to just go along with Fate.

Going out of the law space, the hints from Fate was telling him to go to the center area of the mortal world.

Sensing the location, Wang Tian sends his consciousness across the starry void. Going over many realm bubbles of the mortal world.

In just a few seconds, he arrived at the center region of the mortal world.

Right there, a realm bubble different from the other bubble stood out in the center of the mortal world.

There's nothing different if it was seen with just the naked eyes.

But Wang Tian could see the gathering of laws in this particular realm.

It was so much that the realm could be said to be a small immortal realm.

Wisps of laws were coming in and out of the realm and spread throughout the whole mortal world.

After appraising the realm in front of him, Wang Tian found out how this realm exists.

The identity of this realm is the same as the three main realms of the immortal world.

This realm is the main realm of the mortal world.

In the mortal world, this realm was also located in the center of the mortal world.

Previously, the mortal world was just that, a bunch of realms scattered in the void of the mortal world. It all changes when the mortal world absorbs some of the Authority, it made the laws in the mortal world strengthened.

Then, all things in the mortal world upgraded. The laws, the realms, the living beings, and everything else that was covered by the mortal world's laws.

And then, one realm in the middle became the focal point of the upgrade. That realm became the anchor of the mortal world.

And it was this realm in front of Wang Tian that was upgraded to become the main realm, where most of the laws of the mortal world gather and clump together.

Wang Tian didn't feel much surprised about this.

After thinking to himself for a few more seconds, he went inside, following the guidance from Fate.

Inside the realm.

The realm was somewhat different from the other realm. There was only one huge landmass with small bodies of water and mountains scattered throughout the land and a massive ocean surrounding said landmass. The other realms would usually have a few smaller landmasses. Bigger than islands. Continents.

Floating in the sky, Wang Tian notices a few things from the laws of this realm.

As the laws were stronger than the other mortal realms, the maximum limit of this world was also higher.

The mortals and cultivators were stronger than those from the other mortal realms.

Wang Tian thought nothing of it since that's the way it was supposed to be and continued to find the place where Fate wants him to go.

After flying across a few mountains, Wang Tian arrived in the sky above a valley.

There in the middle of the valley, was a small village. There were only 5 wooden houses. With 1 big house that seemed to be the main building, and the other 4 were facing each other in pairs right in front of the main house.

However, after Wang Tian scanned the houses, there was no living being inside and around the vicinity.

The houses didn't seem to be raided or anything.

It was just abandoned.

At worst, the houses looked a bit worn out.

Wang Tian was a bit confused, but he still descended into the village.

On his way here, he had been thinking about what Fate wanted him to do.

Wang Tian thought Fate wants him to go and take care of some mortal like what he did with Liu Kong.

But there doesn't seem to be anyone in this village.

Not even rats.

Without further thought, Wang Tian connected his consciousness with the law of Fate to find out more about what he was supposed to do since Fate had gone silent after he arrived here. After all, the world's laws were only operating autonomously.

With a bit of strength, Wang Tian peers into Fate and saw what Fate wanted him to do.

"I see." Wang Tian's eyes lit up as he found out what he needs to do.

Wang Tian looks at the few houses in front of him.

"Seems like I'll be living here for a while. Better start to renovate then."

With a wave of his hand, a wind blows through the houses. And the houses started to magically repair themselves.

Except, rather than magically repairing themselves, it was more like everything was moving backward.

It was the law of time. Wang Tian was making the houses go back in time to their peak state.

In the meantime, Wang Tian headed straight to the big house that was currently repairing itself as well.

When every house was done going back in time, with another wave of his hand, light flashes simultaneously from each of the houses. They flashed a couple of times before finally stopping.

Wang Tian enchanted the houses to withstand the corrosion of time. It could be said that the houses in this small village, had become houses that could exist as long as the world still exists.

What Wang Tian just did was follow what Fate wanted him to do.

It was something that the law of Fate alone cannot do.

Most importantly, there's a high chance that Wang Tian will be staying in this village for a long time.

He could feel it without even trying to see into the future. It was something like a premonition.

And so, Wang Tian started his stay in this small village.
