Chapter 30 (Grim Scythe)

[oh you fat ass... you still do not get it ... I am Monster among Demon ... I am the one who lurks in darkness but burns the brightest ... I am the one who comes in your nightmares ... I am your justice... I am your death ... I am Jason Pheonix]said Jason walking fully out of the shadow.

[how can you come here.. this place is hundreds of feet underground ... how did you come to this place.] said, Hudon.+

[what is wrong with all of you why do you need to ask the unnecessary questions as your final words... but I will treat it as your last wish and I will tell you.] said Jason while removing the mask from his face.

Jason handsome face was nowhere to be seen, the right side of the face was burnt, and the left side of Jason's face was stitched in a smiling pose

[what the hell are you who did this to you].

All kinds of questions were going through Hudon's mind. The small fly he named as Firebird. The one he deemed as the stepping stone in his path of success, the one he never considered as his equal much less superior. was now towering on him with such immense pressure that he had never felt in his life ever before.

He was astonished to see this, he had never thought in his wildest dreams that this would be the Endgame of his long plan. he was at loss he had no road to walk forward or any stick to grab on. It was looking like an endless abyss and the one staring from the depths of it was Jason.

[This is me ... or should I say the real me ... this burn is the result of my first loss in a tournament ... this stitch is the result for showing my disdain towards massacring a whole village for sake of creating a high magical crystal, so he stitched my face to smile so that I could nor be able to express my disdain neither speak a word against him ... I had no way to talk for years until I learned a spell that lets me announce my thoughts using mana in air .] explained Jason. His voice was filled with sadness and anger. he had clenched his fist tightly and his whole body was trembling in anger. Seeing this Hudon grabbed on the last straw.

[ Good, very good ...No ... I mean it is very sad.. you had such a tragic past that was hidden away from everyone .... but this means that you should hate that old lizard for all the deed that he did to harm you right ... I am also a victim of his injustice.. he killed my wife when I wasn't able to complete a task that he assigned me to do . . . at that time my wife had a baby inside of her but he just burned them alive ... he is a monster ... a devil incarnate ... we should team up ... we both can take revenge together ... we could save hundreds of people... we would become god's... we would ..] Even before Hudon can finish his sentence his tongue was sliced off and fell on the floor.

[What are you blabbering on about ... who do you think you are ... a mere servant dare disrespect his master ...] said Jason his expression taking a sudden turn from sorrow to that of disdain towards Hudon, as if he was looking at an ant.

[Ahhhhhhh ] Hudon shouted while taking a bottle from his pocket. this was magical healing Elixer, this elixir can even regrow a limb. He quickly gulped down the content of that bottle.

[You are just like your father ... you a son of a devil... it is indeed righteous to slay you here and now.] said Hudon after his tongue regrew. he started a chant making his black scythe fly towards Jason. But Jason on other hand was staring at blank space, not caring about the incoming threat.

Suddenly a crimson-colored phoenix rose out of shadow of jason and slashed at the black scythe with its wings, making the black scythe disappear.

As soon as the black scythe disappeared Jason stretched his hand out as if grabbing something in the air, seeing him, Hudon took a defensive poss summoning a shield made of black flame.

[ah found it ... come to me] said Jason and a strange device zoomed into his hand. this was the same device Hudon used to escape, Jason quickly clicked some buttons causing the surrounding area to vibrate.

soon the cave started collapsing and finally it swallowed both Jason and Hudon and brought them to the surface.

They appeared before the large metallic door.

[Why did you bring us here... do you dare to fight that true demon and me at the same time... you might have become strong but let me tell you you are just being naive and arrogant right now.] said Hudon while making his defense max.

Jason didn't reply, he just summoned a phoenix in thin air, but it was smaller in size, soon another bird appeared beside the small bird, from two they become four from four to eight to sixteen to 32 they kept on growing in number. with a signal of his hand, Jason showered Hudon's shield with Hundreds of small phoenixes.

The young true demon was sitting in front of the large metallic door on his throne. he was quietly watching the two humans fight, he was already the top existence in this area and thus was quite bored and this was after a long time that he had some source of entertainment. Out of nowhere, a small phoenix attacked the true demon. The true demon just waved his hand and killed the little bird.

[ *&%$ %$$@%$* *%$$&%*^%$ *&%$@#] said Demon in his language.

[He says that your little tricks won't work against him ... and now he says you could team up with that fat man ... but then also you cant defeat me] said the Clown appearing out of the shadow.

[so you even know demon language ha ... well a devil would know a demon language for sure] said, Jason.

Hudon noticed that Jason's focus was shifted So he quickly cast his strongest spell.

[The angel of death ... the one that guides soal to the underworld ... I besiege you to appear and slay all the mortals that threaten you believer ... those who are not your believer only death awaits them ... o great one grant them mercy ... Grim scythe.]

He made a Grim reaper made up of pitch black flame with a large scythe paper before him, This was one of the biggest trump cards of Hudon that he hasn't used against anyone till now. the reaper slashed his scythe onto the little birds killing them all in one swipe.

The scythe continued to advance forward killing all the living creatures that were unlucky enough to come in its contact, all the fire-lings and some lesser demons were also slashed in half and soon it reached an inch away from Jason...
