Chapter 12(first match)

As everybody again became quiet and started to stare at the stage. A box appeared out of nowhere in Domas's hands. One by one, every participant moved forward towards the box and picked a token out of the box. After everyone was finished with their turns, the box dematerialized into thin air.

[now please tell who got 1] asked Domas.

[it's me ] told a redhead girl. And as far as I remember she is 16 and a core apprentice mage.

[Now tell who you wanna challenge. Remember to think properly before you speak, this is also important in your journey as a mage]said, Domas.

[Yes I know, thanks Village gaurdian]with that the redhead bowed and pointed at another girl beside her except Amberly.

with that, all other participants scattered out of the edges of the arena where there was a sitting place outside the barrier.

[Let the match begain] said, Domas

The redheaded girl without wasting time started her chant and created a semitransparent ball of mana in her hands.

When a person is at the core stage, they can only manipulate the basic characterless mana or neutral mana. And when a person reaches the ring stage he/she can elementize his or her mana and embed the spells with a basic attribute like water, fire, earth, air, etc.

Seeing this the other frail-looking girl also started her chant, but rather than creating a mana ball she created two small pebble-sized balls and made them orbit around her hand. And with a determined look in her eye, she provoked the redhead to come attack.

Seeing this redhead jumped in action and she threw her mana ball at great speed towards the girl.

The ball was traveling at a quick speed and following the ball throw, the redhead started her second chant and again made a mana ball in her hand but rather than throwing it she ran holding onto the ball.

[Hmmm the match is pretty much concluded, what do you think of it madam] asked a friendly-looking woman who was standing right behind her mother.

[i don't know, this is just a basic match but you might be surprised or I might be wrong but that's the fun of the match isn't it .]Replied mother.

[you are right madam, let's see who would win]said the woman.

The redhead was quickly reaching towards the frail girl, but the mana ball was just inches away. Seeing this the frail girl smiled and threw one of the two small balls at the upcoming large ball. and another one at the redhead.

The small and large ball collided and exploded in a bright explosion. but the explosion didn't cause any shockwave but it was as if there was a light flash.

the redhead quickly closed her eyes, and at the same time the other small ball was inches away from her, the table suddenly turned and now Readhead was face to face with danger. but as soon as she opened her eyes she dodged the small ball in quick action and drew more closer towards frail girl.

The frail girl still looked composed on the outside, but the redhead was smiling as if imagining her victory already. as soon as she was ten steps away from frail girl the redhead jumped in air and changed the shape of her ball into that of pole.

as soon as the staff was about to land on her a small ball came out of now where and landed on her stomach with full force, after which she fell on the floor. without wasting time the frail girl quickly muttered a spell and finally pointed a small dagger at the neck of the redhead who was still holding her stomach..

[match ends Vina wins] said Domas after quickly checking the condition of a redhead.

[huh how did she win] said the same friendly woman.

yes, mine is the same question.

[well it is quite a simple trick actually, what she used is called orbital mana balls, let me explain to all] said mother standing and walked towards the barrier.

with one swipe a hole appeared in the barrier and she entered the middle of arena, with me in her hands.

[let me explain it to you all, the trick Vina used is called Orbital Mana, which means it uses the same concept as our Solaris system,

the first hat she did was she placed a mana ball inside her hands, which was half size of a standard ball making it as a center she made other two small balls and made them orbit around her ands. seeing from other views it appears as she has only two small balls and her mana capacity is low, but this is a very clever trick to distract your opponents. As i journey of becoming mage you should always be clever and never revel your trump cards till end, now everyone must have understood where from third ball came, did i explained correctly Vina] Explained mother.

[as for you i think you might awaken speed or physical element in future so work hard you too] Said mother and following that she quickly told them some mistakes that they did during match and improvement that they could do.

to which they both replied again with a bow.

while mother was explaining i was in thoughts that what does Awakening means, but greater to that question was how are humans able to sense and cannel mana.

as far as I could remember mana could only be channeled through a special bloodline of Royals and Some chosen nobles among higher species, but not only the humans have their own system of mana arts but even villagers like in front of me are able to do it. what kind of miracle did happen during these 3000 years. And what is the limit of these Human Mana Arts?

[Now you two go and take rest for a week and try to digest every single word that madam said, if you succeed in absorbing them you will surely succeed.]said domas bringing e to reality.

but now my curiosity was burning like fire as I was someone who always liked to hunt for more knowledge I wanted to know all that happened to my descendants.

[let the next match begain] and with that next match started. But it wasn't as exciting as the first match. and mother also didn't go to the arena to explain as all the other matches were simple exchange of mana balls or till the other party depleted their mana.

the winner had the right to challenge again and the loser was sent out of the match.

And after a total of 5 matches, only 5 participants were left. Flora Amberly, Vina, Firth, Yom Tomen, Stan. among them flora and Yom easily won the match but decided to not challenge each other. while stan and Firth barely won their respective matches.

[Now the person with least no. token step forward and choose your next oponent] said Domas.

[Sir guardian it's me, and I chose stan]. Said Domas stepping forward and Showing his token.

And with that, all the others walked out of barrier, with Stan, Domas, and Yom in the arena.
