Hestia's Burden

~Zeus's P.O.V~

Zeus - "She's doing WHAT!?"

Zeus was furious, in such a way that he's never been before.

In his eyes, Demeter deserved everything that came to her, and In some capacity, she should be proud of the fact that he chose her. She should be begging for him to enter her right now!

Yet, in response to him giving her what all women want from him, SHE GOES AS FAR AS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A NEW REALM TO STAY AWAY FROM OLYMPUS?

HOW.DARE.SHE.

With these specific thoughts in his head, Zeus began to speed to Demeter, before hearing something speak to him through his head with a majestic, ghastly voice...

''YOu ShALL NoT CrOSS''

And next thing he knew, gigantic, glowing tree roots sprouted in a 80 feet radius around Demeter, and began attacking him ferociously, without any mercy.

He tried using his lightning bolts against the roots, but from the damaged areas grew thicker more powerful roots, almost as if symbolizing Demeter's mindset, which became the basis of the curse.

A flurry of roots began overpowering him, and eventually, pushed him out of range.

Eventually, with a loss of pride at being embarrassed In front of the other gods, Zeus retreated to the others, who've been watching in awe at the tenacity of this curse.

''Hestia, do you know if your flames could burn this curse?'', he said having given up on the thought of doing this alone.

Hestia - "I haven't any idea, I can go check. But know that I'm not here to hurt Demeter, you've already accomplished that agenda. Should my flames work, I willn't allow you passage.''

Hearing this, Zeus was FURIOUS.

''HOW DARE YOU AGREE WITH THAT SL*T'S AGENDA. YOU WILL OBEY ME AND MY ORDERS, AS I AM KING, AND YOU ARE MY SUBORDINATE.'', He said as golden lightning began flickering around his stature, symbolizing the release of his divinity.

~P.O.V. Change - Hestia~

Memories began filling her head.

She saw Zeus over her, touching her, HURTING her. She saw him leaving, and herself getting up and looking in the mirror beside her vine draped bed, to see an image of a broken and battered Demeter looking back at her.

And then, the reflection spoke to her, ''Will you watch this time? Or will you finally run free of your guilt?''

That's when she knew that Demeter had showed her the memories of that night.

And then she knew what she had to do.

Hestia scrunched her face in pure and utter disgust, before forming a blank, calm appearance.

Staying like this for a moment, Hestia began to think about her life on Olympus, and how she had to swear to the river Styx just to protect herself from the horrors of being r*ped by her own family.

She couldn't help but hate herself.

She, as the eldest, is supposed to be the one making sure everyone is safe, but instead she ran from her problems, and secluded herself, not caring about the consequences of which would befall the youngest of her sisters, Hera.

Through these actions, Hera was to marry Zeus, as he cheated on, raped, and destroyed her life.

And now Demeter is experiencing the brunt of it too. As someone with the Divinity of Hearth and Family, she can sense it...

Demeter is pregnant with Zeus's child.

It's odd, normally it would take longer for an embryo to form, since Zeus raped her yesterday, but maybe...

Maybe because of her new divinity of life (She can sense it) the process is sped up.

'Either way, I won't let Zeus take the Reins any longer. It's time I stop fooling around and stop this madness.'

There's something nobody knows...

And it's that Hestia is FAR more powerful than Zeus, but as a peaceful Goddess, she faded into the background and ignored the cries of which befell her ears.

A tear began falling down her cheek

She began speaking aloud, startling Zeus and the others at the strength of which she began speaking.

''Demeter...I may not understand your pain...but know that I no longer ignore it. So please believe me when I say this...I'm listening now...and I believe you...''

With those heartfelt words, came an unstoppable tide of divinity as it flowed through Hestia. White flames began surrounding her, the air becoming hot and the world suffering from the heat escaping her Pores.

''Zeus, if you try to get past me...forget being able to walk again. For this time...you've gone too far...''
