23. The Mysterious Friend
Otto believed he was explaining everything to me and I was getting each thing he said, yet he didn't know that I wasn't listening. So to distract him I asked him something.
"Are Luke and Chris, doing okay?" I distracted him.
"Oh yeah I left them out of the doctor's office, they promised that they wouldn't say anything" Otto said.
"Okay then I guess it's up to us to go and save the girls" I said.
"How are we going to do that? We don't even know who those ninjas are and where they took them" Otto said.
"I can help you with that" a girl's voice said.
"Who are you? And what do you want?" I asked without looking at her.
I have come to accept it that people just appear out of thin air and end up participating in our conversations, so it wasn't that big of a deal anymore.
"I'm someone who can help you get your friends back" the girl answered.
Otto was standing next to me, I guess what he was explaining before was really serious because he had laid out a plan and marked all the exits. He suspected they used to infiltrate the base and what they will use to escape that's if they haven't already escaped.
"Good since you are here, now you can help us be at an advantage" Otto said to the girl.
"How sure that you can trust me?" The girl asked.
"Well you are either one of the night ninjas or you know who they are, I take it they did something that goes against everything you believe that's why you are here willing to help us... It's your redemption" Otto explained.
"Wow you are sharp, no wonder why you are the mastermind of this operation" the girl compliments Otto.
"Thanks" said Otto.
"Are you coming to see the plan through or you are going to stand there and look all mysterious with your scarf and raise suspension?" I asked.
"I see you must be the power with no brains" the girl said.
"Wait a minute, how did you know he was wearing a scarf?" Otto asked.
"I don't know" I answered.
No kidding I really had no idea how I knew she was wearing a scarf, I didn't even look at the door and see her.
"Whatever... So you know who they are so of course you'll be our triumph card and as for you Miles you'll just have to make sure you don't die" says Otto.
"What about Lace here, what's her part none other than looking all mysterious?" I asked.
"How did you know it was me? What are you something kind of stalker?" Lace asked.
"Your name is Lace?" Otto asked.
"Yes and before you ask anything else, yes I'm that Lace, Lacey Waterson" Lace said.
"What's so special about her apart from being all mysterious and whatnot?" I asked.
"Are you kidding? She's part of class A her, Walter and Rocky are the top students it's already decided what bionic abilities they'll received. So in all no matter what happens tomorrow they already passed" Otto explained.
"I'm impressed Otto, you are not just charming you are smart too all in one" Lace compliments Otto again.
Remember what I told you about Lace the first time we met turns out her hair wasn't black and long it was jet black, as for her height she was the same but as for her hazel-ish eyes they didn't do her any justice. I won't lie the girl was really beautiful if not possible one of the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my teen years.
As usual she wore baggy clothes that covered her body so I couldn't tell how she was, and she wore boys clothes. I think she's tomboy if that's what it was called.
But one thing always made her stand out, her scarf she always changed it and wore different colors.
"Okay Otto, now what are we supposed to do to get our friends back?" I asked.
Otto explained everything to us, since I wasn't really listening to his first explanation I sure made sure I was paying attention and I hand it to him his plan was really out of this world... Otto was really smart.
"Man you are smart, are you sure you'll need a bionic ability?" I asked.
Yes I knew what the bionic abilities are, they are chips that will be planted in our brains when we pass the trial classes, and. They will be based on our skills, talents and traits... For instance Otto was smart if they gave him the chip it would be an intelligent chip and he'll be one of the smartest person in the world that's if he doesn't go all maniac and go mad scientist.
