(Praise's Pov)

Praise wake up for christ's sake it's the first day of school, you had all summer to sleep".

"I'm awake, now please leave me alone". Carter is so annoying, him being my elder brother doesn't give him the right to abuse me like this,okay i know it's not abuse, I'm just exaggerating. I quickly got up from my bed and went to the bathroom. I finished everything in no time as I didn't want to be late for school. As I take one last glance of my reflection in the mirror I knew, I looked good. I had on my black jeans, white crop top and my black heels. I tied my hair in a messy bun and continued doing my light make up, just a little mascara and foundation and rushed downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Hi mom, hi dad?"

"Morning sweetheart" dad replied in his usual tone, which held so much authority.

"Sweetie, your dad and I are so sorry, we won't be here for your birthday on Friday, we have a busin...."

"Mom, stop" I cut her off before she could finish."whatever you need to do just do it"

"Okay dear, come get your breakfast then"

"Actually, I've lost my appetite, I'm going to school". I quickly got up from my seat and walked out of the mansion we lived in. My mom is so fake and my dad, he just doesn't care. This happens every year, they are always busy. I blinked away the tears that are threatening to spill.

I parked my car in it's usual spot. I loved my baby so much, my car is a black jeep, I got it for my 15th birthday. I quickly spot my best friend, who was my cousin (Zhoey) waiting for me at the gate. A smile crept on her face as she saw me, she sprinted from where she was standing and ran towards me. She immediately jumped on me and gave me a bear hug.

"Okay, calm down, you'll suffocate me" I said in a nonchalant voice.

"I missed you so much Praise"she said, still not letting go.

"Missed you too Zhoey, now please let go"

"Okay, let's go to class, I can't believe we will be attending our first class together, my favorite subject"

" You're only saying that because it's arts" This girl with her laziness.

"yes, yes next you will be saying that I should start taking my studies serious, please do spare me the lecture"

"You know me too well, now let's head to class".

We walked to class while Zhoey kept on blaring about her summer and how she wanted me to be there. Zhoey and I always spent our summer holidays together, but the last summer I went to visit my grandparents in Miami. We finally made it to class and we took our seats in the corner. The teacher walked in after two minutes and started teaching. After thirty minutes the door opened with a loud bang. The school's bad boys walked in and left the door open, just my favourite people (note the sarcasm). I really hated those boys they think they own these buildings.

"Please do me a favour and close the door Jaden" the teacher said in an angry tone.

"Oh, wait, is Jaden your middle name? Please do close the door Jaden" Jaden said, while directly pointing to the teacher. I mostly hate Jaden among them really.

"Detention after school Jaden, Mrs Leonary may you please close the door"the teacher said.

Wait, what? Me? Okay.

"I bet she'll do it" Jaden said with a smirk. And just because I hate him so much, I'll do it. I stood up and walked to the door and softly closed it. The class was soon filled up with laughter.

"Owh, she just challenged you Jaden" one of the boys said. I walked back to my seat and before I could reach there I was stopped and guess who? The devil himself.

"Go open that door, do not undermine me like that!" Jaden demanded.

"And who are you?, God, my dad, or wait You're are a high school teenager, who has no right over my decisions" I deadpanned while staring right back in his blue eyes. If I wasn't so calm I would've slapped this boy right in his ugly excuse of a face. I walked past him and took my seat.

"Oh, wow, my best friend here has grown two heads. Why the hell would you challenge Jaden like that? The most handsome guy even?" Zhoey whispered to me.

"Zhoey, he should even be thankful I talked to him, he's so annoying". Zhoey has an obsession with Jaden, infact with all of Jaden's friends. She once dated Jaden's friend Jason.

The school was over in no time, I quickly went to my car only to find it written "bring your sorry ass over here".

I turned around with a furious expression only to see Jaden and his friends laughing. I knew it was him and I'm going to give him a nice lecture that he will never forget. He has no idea what I'm capable of, I hate his guts and that should be more than enough to make him stay away from me. He clearly messed with the wrong person here, and he's about to regret it. Just because I'm a girl doesn't give him any right to mess with me. I'm not scared of him and he should know better than to not mess with me, imbecile that he is. He thinks just because he has a record of being the school's bad boy that record can scare me. Everyone is scared of him, but I'm not everyone right?

I turned on my heel and walked towards their direction. I can see them whispering to one another, and all of them immediately burst out laughing, which made me more angry than before. Guess what I'll turn Jaden into a joke once I get there and the contrary of what is now happening will happen. I'll make Jaden's friends laugh at him which will make me superior than him. clever right? I know.
