8 Chapter 8: Sainan High School

"Wait, did you say 'we?'?", The girl responded, only to walk out of her entranceway. I saw what appeared to be an eleven or twelve year old currently wearing an apron and holding a soup ladle in one of her hands. She had brown hair very similar to Rito's, and was quite wavy, letting it flow down past her shoulders.

The moment she saw me, she had a deadpan look in her eyes.

"Just what did you do to Rito?", The girl immediately retorted me the moment she saw me next to Rito. She even raised her soup ladle at me. Funny.

I saw Rito panic trying to calm this girl down. If I recall, Rito called her Mikan?

"H-Hey! Settle down, Mikan. This is our new neighbor, Baki-san. We were just about to be on our way. Baki-san saved me from a girl riding on her bike just now. Otherwise we would have crashed into her.", Rito said, trying to calm the brown-haired girl down. 

"Is that right?", The girl named Mikan still had a deadpan look in her eyes. "If it is as Rito says, I'll trust you, but don't do anything weird to him.", Mikan suddenly said to me.

"Haha. You must be siblings, I take it. I recently moved to the house next to you. I wish we could chat more but we really need to head out.", I said quickly introducing myself to the brown haired girl before me. Yet at the same time, I heard Aura's voice in my head.

[It is 6:55AM now, Master. You will be late at this point.]

Hearing that, I frowned.

"Baki-san is right, Mikan. We need to go.", Rito also said, nodding his head to my words.

"And I just got the perfect plan for that. Mikan, was it? Sorry, I'm borrowing Yuuki-kun for a bit.", I suddenly said.

"Eh?", Rito tried to say. Like before, I approached Rito like before and reached my entire arm out, lifting his body with ease and slid him underneath my arm.

"Baki's special taxi delivery at your service~", I chimed, revealing a playful grin. 

Mikan just stared at me with her deadpan look as I said that. Yet those deadpan eyes soon became that of surprise.

Especially so once I started to start moving my legs back and forth. The faster they got, they soon became invisible to the naked eye. Whooosh!

"AHHHHHH!", Rito's voice yelled out in a panic, letting out a scream that faded into the distance. A big gust of wind followed, letting Mikan's apron and her hair flutter wildly as she saw me vanish, running away. She just stared off into the distance. She didn't feel any ill will coming from me, so she just stood there, surprised.

"Weirdo.", Mikan retorted, only to turn around, entering her house again and closing the door.

As for me, I continued to run on the main street at a very fast pace. Along the way, I saw the same bicycle that the girl was currently pedaling. Feeling a large gust of wind blasting her from behind, she paused and looked back at me.

"Pardon us.", I said, still sporting my grin over my face. This brown haired girl just had disbelief in her eyes as she saw a large muscular boy suddenly run past her.

"The fuck?", The girl retorted, seeing the man vanish into the distance while running. She proceeded to ignore Rito's yelling. 

At this point, Rito's eyes were going to pass out.

"A-A-At least slow down a bit, Baki-san! This is too much for me!", Rito tried to retort while letting his voice escape with the fast speed of my legs. 

I passed the girl by in no time at all.

I could see a large multi-story building coming into view fast.

"Hold on, we just about arrived. One last push, Yuuki-kun.", I suddenly said again, only to let my feet come to a screeching halt. I saw another figure currently standing near the gate that was the entrance of said school. Along with some other students looking our way wanting to see the spectacle we were currently making.

My speed same to a sudden halt, creating another screeching noise, making some of the students cover their ears. The girl standing next to the gate just stared at us with a blank look.

"And now we jump.", I said.

"Wait, jump?", Rito retorted, only to feel his body jerk into a still motion. 

Rito then felt his body suddenly fly, as if he was soaring on an airplane.

As for me, I did a great stride, letting my leg work do all of it. It really did seem I retained Baki's skills, but I do have to be careful, considering I have points with a system now.

Whoosh! 

With one giant leap, I jumped from far away, to beyond the entrance, landing in front of the open courtyard. 

I even did the perfect landing pose.

"Good job remaining alive, Yuuki-kun.", I said, letting Rito's body down. I could see stars spinning in his eyes.

"T-Tell me why we are friends again...?", Rito tried to ask me, feeling his eyes spin in stars.

"Well that was impressive. You beat the bell by 0.5 seconds.", A voice called out to us. I saw the girl who was standing at the gate call out to us as she approached our direction. As she walked, we suddenly heard the sound of the school bell start to ding in the distance.

Really made it in a split of a second eh?

"Still failed on uniform inspection though. Go pass by the faculty's office later after class.", The girl said. She also appeared to be fifteen years old as well, the same age as Rito. Of the girls I've seen so far, this girl was definitely the prettiest of them. Long black flowing hair, sporting a stern look in her eyes. A wristband over her arm could be seen, signaling she was of the Student Council and the chair of President was written on her arm.

She obviously saw the large fist mark on my collared shirt. 

She didn't question it, only to tell me to pass by the faculty's office later. Guess that was bound to happen, haha.

"Got it. You're Ms. Kotegawa right? Student Council President?" I asked, making sure the girl in front of me was who I thought it was.

Hearing me address her like that caused the girl to smile.

"That's right. At least you seem to have some decency unlike other boys.", The girl said, looking down at the dazed Rito. Sure enough she was Kotegawa Yui, one of the girls of the To-Love Ru-verse. She seemed young so I guess this story was just kicking off. Most first years were fifteen years old, I was the oddball here being sixteen. I don't have an excuse for it, but I can make one up if asked about it.

Yui is a really cute girl after seeing her upfront like this, but every person has a twist.

She's one of those tsunderes. 

Yet as we conversed, we saw a shadow hurry in the distance, only to come to a screeching halt as well. Placing their bike on the nearest rack and securing it, it was the same brown-haired girl I had just passed while running here.

Yui's eyes squinted seeing the disheveled appearance of this girl.

"You're late Ms. Ayase, and even on the first day of school. Your skirt is too short too. Faculty room after class.", Yui declared, causing the girl to frown.

"H-Hey! I'm only late 'cause this guy is a cheater!", The brown-haired girl said, rushing up to me only to point her finger outward.

"So I'm a loser and a cheater now?", I retorted the brown-haired girl.

"Enough bickering. The first bell already rang. Homeroom will be starting shortly. The entrance ceremony will start after it.", Yui said. With a harrumph, I saw Yui strut back inside. In the distance, In the distance to where the lockers were, I saw a cute blue-haired girl who watched this happen while inside the building. I could even see a vertical red hair clip holding the front portion of her hair together.

"...", The blue-haired girl didn't say anything, just turned around with a flip of her skirt and headed inside along with Yui.

'That definitely was Haruna, wasn't it?', I looked on with interest.

After seeing that blue-haired girl vanish, I looked down, and saw Rito's eyes still showing spinning stars. 

"Come on Yuuki-kun. Let's ditch this loser.", I said, reaching my arm down to grab his backside this time. With a single hoist of his body, I placed him on his feet again.

"Thanks, Baki-san...", Rito tried to thank me, seeing that he was somewhat back to normal.

"H-Hey! I ain't a loser like you are. I'm Momo.", The brown-haired girl said, rushing beside the two of us. As she did, she stuck her tongue out in annoyance, then darted inside the room.

'Momo Ayase, huh? That name feels familiar...', I said, seeing the girl vanish.

Well, most of the other students have entered the building since the first bell rang. Students had enough time to reach their classrooms before the second bell rang, which would signal the start of the class.

I saw Rito take in deep breaths of air, staying silent as we walked inside. I was curious to know where my classroom was situated. 

As we went inside, a single student watched on while sitting from a bench. It was a boy of average height, appearing scrawny. His hair was quite ruffly, and was brown. He also wore large round-frame glasses. He appeared to be the typical nerd.

This boy just watched the ongoing scene in silence as he finished eating a piece of toast that was in his mouth. He tilted his head, appearing confused once most students entered the building.

'That was quite an entrance...', The boy thought to himself, musing to the scene of the muscular boy jumping several feet to land inside the middle of the courtyard to where the boy was currently seated.

Still with the piece of toast in his mouth, the boy hopped from the bench. Taking a measuring stick out from who-knows-where, the boy started to walk across where Baki originally started to where he made that funny landing.

Each foot he took, the boy became slightly more haggard after reaching a certain distance.

The boy's eyes turned wide in surprise the moment it reached the nine meter mark.

Finally reaching the end. The piece of toast in the boy's mouth fell to the ground as he stood there in a dazed manner.

"9-9-9.15 METERS!?", The boy exclaimed, yelling out, falling on his butt in disbelief as he did. He attracted a couple of the student's attention who were still putting their belongings in their lockers.

Unknown to Baki, he had just set a new world record for the long jump.
