36 Chapter 36: Speculation

The second girl's lips bloomed into a wide smile while the girl with the twin tails just stared at me.

"Hmph, even if you show some respect, just so you know, I haven't approved of you yet.", Nana replied, before quickly vanishing off the call, leaving behind Momo. Her voice was cold toward me, but I shrugged it off. She hated guys quite a bit in the show, and it took some time for her to even open up to Rito. As for the second girl who was alone now, she looked back my way.

"I do apologize for Nana-chan's behavior, Baki-sama. She hasn't gotten used to Onee-sama's situation yet. She'll need some time to adapt to it. I can see Onee-sama's happiness just by being next to you, so that's all the confirmation I need. Please take good care of her, alright~?", Momo said with a smile over her face.

"Haha, I'll try to live up to your expectations, Your Highness.", I politely answered.

"Oh, and none of that 'Your Highness' business. Just call me Momo-chan.", Momo said, introducing herself to me. I nodded my head at her words, and her head shifted toward Lala. "And Onee-sama, Tou-sama did mention that if Nana-chan and I do well on our next term, we'll be able to come to Planet Earth, so if you seal the deal with Baki-sama here, we'll be able to do a house visit~", Momo happily replied, clapping her two hands together.

"Papa allowed such a thing?", Lala's eyes lit up.

"Un. I can see that you are enjoying your time, so I'll leave Onee-sama in your care, Baki-sama. And have you two have fun on your date. I want all the details later~", Momo said, giving me a light bow as well, causing me to raise my eyebrows seeing her do this.

Momo then waved her hand at us, and the holo panel vanished from sight, ending the sudden call that appeared.

"There you have it, Lala-sama. It would seem the royal family took the news quite well. It also pleases me you did not run from this, Baki-sama.", Zastin said with a polite tone in his voice. He was quite aggressive yesterday about me being serious or not, so I'm glad it went well on their end. It was nice to see Lala's sisters in person for the first time, even if it wasn't actually in person.

I could see Lala's tail swerving around, it was quite obvious to see that she was happy after having a short chat with her sisters.

I knew my name was starting to spread around the galaxy too, at least I left a favorable impression on them. Even if it was just passed as a joke, Deviluke's current king definitely had the power to destroy Planet Earth if he wanted to. That reminded me that not only were there aliens of the To-Love Ru-verse running out there, there were also aliens from the DBZ-verse and MCU-verse out there as well. I had no idea if any of them were clashing with each other.

To give an example of that, Gid was currently the reigning king of the Milky Way Galaxy. This galaxy was part of Midgard, one of the nine realms that surrounded the world tree Ygdrassil. And the entire leader of these nine realms currently had a king, who went by the name Odin Borson. He was none other than Thor's and Loki's father. Did Gid have any relationship to Odin, and if so, how far did it go?

And on top of all of that, there was a reigning terror out in the galaxy doing as he pleased, when he pleased. That really did give me interest to see if he had met with any of the divine beings the MCU-verse had, and I was referring to the self-proclaimed emperor of the universe, Frieza. Who knows what he was currently doing out there, was he raging war on some unknown planet, or fighting against a powerhouse I didn't know about?

Unfortunately, I still lack the power to even think of travelling in the beyond. These two days of training was definitely a good start, but I had much more to go. Once these next two days pass and the engagement between Lala and I does get finalized, that will mean I do have access to space travel, among other things. But that would also mean I would have a wife.

I couldn't help but look at Lala again. Was I ready to experience a married life with all that craziness going on around me?

Moreover, she was the first princess of a galaxy-wide empire...And on top of that, her family and those that served them permitted harems. I wasn't really too keen on that concept, but in the end, Rito accepted it and initiated a harem at the end of the series. Would I reach the same end?

I do recall Lala was quite open about having other girls liking Rito, and wasn't against it at all. Lala really was an easygoing girl. I took a moment to observe her. She noticed my gaze, and shifted her eyes my way.

"Is something up, Baki-kun? Those were my sisters just now, I'm glad you got to meet them. I have to eventually introduce you to Papa and Mama too!", Lala happily said. Her tail swerved around again.

"It's nothing, Lala-chan. I'm just glad they seem to have a favorable impression of me, despite me looking like this.", I said, showing off my muscular body that had a few scars scattered across it.

"There's nothing wrong with you looking like that, Baki-kun? Stop saying weird things--?", Lala tried to answer me. It was this time we suddenly heard the sound of a stomach growling. The moment the three of us heard that, Lala's face immediately blushed, causing her to not finish her sentence.

"Heh, we'll leave that aside for now. Aspirations aside, let me go start up the rice cooker. It'll take about a half hour or so. Can you help wash the rice, Lala-chan?", I asked Lala, chuckling, hearing Lala's stomach echo out of hunger.

"I'll be intruding on you then, Baki-sama. I will take my men and leave shortly after. I hope the next two days go smoothly for you two.", Zastin said, finishing his cup of tea.

"Thank you.", I replied, revealing a smile.

"It is 1PM now, Master.", Aura's voice suddenly rang inside my mind, reminding me of what time it was.

'Thanks for the reminder, Aura. We'll probably head out around 3PM to the Shinshinkai Dojo, I still need to go through a form of Shadow Training. This one will be a bit different, I won't be covering the Seiken Fist with this one. If I direct you to some of my memories, could you start preparing them for me, Aura?', I decided to ask.

"Understood, Master. I will have them ready when you are ready to begin.", Aura's voice spoke.

'Excellent. It will be something I can show Lala too, considering everyone can do this.', I mused to myself.

What I was referring to was none other than Ki. If I started training in Ki, no doubt my combat prowess would rise even further, letting me get more in line with the likes of characters of the DBZ-verse. That should give me an upper hand over my future foes in the Underground Arena, letting me strengthen my body with it to be even sturdier.

With that thought, I saw Lala reach down her hand and pet Musashi for a moment, saying hello to him. Musashi was quite protective of me, so seeing him welcome Lala into his bubble was a welcoming sight. Musashi didn't dissuade Lala's petting, causing her to smile. Next, she went ahead and grabbed an apron off to the side, and put it on over her dress. I told her where our rice was stored, and she quickly went and got busy, softly humming a small tune.

I proceeded the other direction, and started chopping away at some vegetables and freshly prepared chicken. It didn't take long before a mixed scent of cooked herbs and chicken to waft around the room, creating an inviting atmosphere. Since we spent that time in the bath and chatted with Zastin and Lala's sisters, it reached 1PM before I knew it.

We took about an hour to create and eat lunch, and Zastin bid us farewell with a hopeful look in his eyes, wondering how these next two days would go. Unless I cancelled the engagement, it would get formally recognized, so I do have similar interest in this outlook. Lala was quite cheerful during the entire lunch and she had a stuffed belly afterward.

Zastin left with his guards, leaving Lala and I behind again. it was 2PM now, so I was going to use this next hour as some form of Shadow Training. But this time I would dive into Ki for the first time. I did wonder what would happen to Baki or Yujiro if they ever got their hands on using ki, but if someone like Yujiro did, no one on the current Planet Earth would likely be a threat to him any longer. He could even stomp the floor with Goku if he unlocked ki. but if Goku's battle power was around 300, I doubt Goku could even stand up to Yujiro with his present appearance either.

There was an area on my rooftop that I could enter, and it was completely flat. It was a nice area to catch the wind and observe the neighborhood in its entirety, so I took the time to invite Lala up to my rooftop.

It was about time to start training in Ki, and the first step in that was the method to control it, which I successfully unlocked after my Ki stat reached a certain threshold.
