12 Chapter 12: Interrupted

'Wait, it counts as extra, it just doesn't replace my previous gain?', I immediately wondered, seeing these sudden notifications pop into my mind after the first period ended. Gojo-sensei did a splendid job as a homeroom teacher. I didn't think he'd actually be competent and teach general education like a normal teacher would, considering he would often goof around with Yuji.

'So that's how that works...', I mused.

My Wisdom stat was at six alright.

'And just like that, I'm already on the road to reaching the peak of a normal human...', I continued to muse. I knew Aura's explanation wasn't meant to be taken literally but it gave me a good idea just how much I should improve my stats from here on.

And no matter what I do to gain Strength points, I gain an extra nine points to that every single time.

My strength will definitely start to quickly soar knowing that is the case now.

With that thought, I saw the Student Council President round us up. Even if a student wanted to run from the incoming ceremony, she prevented anyone from going past the door. A certain someone didn't forget they were on cleaning duty either, but the entrance ceremony took priority. We didn't even spare a few minutes to let Momo do her classroom cleaning. We all piled up together in a line, making our way to the eventual auditorium.

I took the time to get a good look at the other students as an endless line of students walked across the hallway. I spotted Rito with that black haired guy. I figured he was his friend, so I let him be.

But there was one that caught my eye.

And that was the ratio of girls to boys. It was pretty skewed, and I think it was intentional. Moreover, there were a lot of pretty girls grouped up in their circles, ignoring most of the boys as we continued to walk. 

Second period was blocked off, so that meant we wouldn't have a second period today. It's not like the faculty could slap on an extra hour to an entire school worth of students. 

Thankfully the Entrance Ceremony went off without a hitch. And as one would expect, that pervert of a principal did seem to still be the principal. Now it made sense as to why the girl-boy ratio was so skewed. If this principal chanced upon a pretty girl, he would work his magic and bring her here to attend, no matter how silly his appearance was.

As the ceremony went on, I observed the faculty standing at the side while we all listened to Yui's speech. Gojo-sensei was in line with the other faculty but he wasn't the only person of interest I saw.

I saw a breathtaking beauty that far outclasses any other girl president in the room. Perhaps it was her glasses she was wearing which made her not stand out. She had emerald green eyes and sported long and luscious golden hair that flowed down her backside. She was in a formal black suit with a white shirt underneath.

'That definitely is Tearju-sensei...', I muttered. In short, she was Yami's creator. Tearju used her own blood to make her. That was why Yami looked so much like Tearju.

Wait, then does that mean Yami is already here, or perhaps she is currently in hiding? Seeing Tearju-sensei here on Planet Earth likely wasn't a good sign. But maybe it was the opposite, and that the To-Love Ru story was already in motion.

That meant trying to locate that first princess of Planet Deviluke wasn't necessarily out of the question.

And beside Tearju-sensei, I saw Mikado-sensei, who was presently the school nurse. Many students would often fake injuries just to go see her, but I ain't that type of guy. I'm an idealist romanticist. That solely depended on me finding a partner I found suitable for me, and I would be set. 

Yes, I definitely enjoyed all the eye candy that was currently being set my way, but I wasn't Yujiro Hanma who indulged in pleasure, doing whatever he pleased.

For now, one girl was enough for me. 

I had little interest in creating a harem. Rito can have all the girls he wants.

I wouldn't say I wasn't interested in the girls the To-Love Ru universe had, however. 

For some reason, however, this entrance ceremony played out more awkwardly than what had appeared originally. I saw students remain silent and some shiver.

Was this really Baki's instincts kicking in? Baki's Aura did mention it would instill fear into others, but I didn't think it would be on this sort of magnitude...

"Heeheehee, this is quite a crowd, wouldn't you say, Doppo-senshu?" A voice called out at the very back, near the entrance. It had a playful tone to it, but appeared to be rather aged. Yet his voice seemed to have carried throughout the entire auditorium, causing many students to come to a pause. Even some of them turned around, wondering where that voice came from.

"Ahhh, I didn't think that Baki would make do with a crowd of simple-minded individuals. My time in coming here hasn't gone wasted, though.", A rough voice said, only to land their gaze on Gojo-sensei. Gojo-sensei was immediately drawn to the two new arrivals at the auditorium, who just made their invitation unannounced. 

"I really do apologize but you can't just come barging into this place, Tokugawa-sama. These students are just starting out their next course of their lives.", A third voice said, who appeared to be one of higher up figures of the faculty. Yet his tone remained polite, since he recognized who had come to this place.

"I did send a notice beforehand, did I not?", The first voice said, looking at the faculty member. This first voice belonged to a tiny figure who was quite aged, but a big bright smile could be seen on his lips, hiding his eyes away.

"Y-You did, but there is a time and place for everything!", The faculty member responded.

Hearing the commotion going on, I turned around and saw a small old man coupled with a giant being of a person. His overall frame was quite bulky. Moreover, this large man lacked any sort of hair whatsoever. Seeing these two figures in the entrance, I raised my eyebrows. As if he sensed my gaze immediately, I saw the old man's eyes light up the moment his gaze landed on me.

"It really is the world traveler, Baki-kun! So this is where you wound up.", The old man said, revealing a large smile from ear to ear.

He just proceeded to ignore all fifteen hundred students and faculty members and directly approached me. Our seats were seated by class. Since I was part of 1S, I was closer toward the front where the large podium was. With each passing moment, I saw a look of visible anger appear in Yui's eyes since she got interrupted while in the middle of her speech as Student Council President.

Though once the old man said that, I felt piercing gazes all land on me, I felt quite a pressure considering I now had the force of fifteen hundred students looking all toward my direction. I was seated near the main aisle in the middle, so it was easy to spot me. The bulky man remained behind, but the old man's wooden shoes clapped with each step, making each step appear significant as he approached me.

"And what do you want, old man? I'm kind of in the middle of something here.", I said, revealing a deadpan look.

"I am sorry for dropping in like this. By the time we arrived, there weren't any students around. It was thanks to this nice faculty member that we were guided here.", The old man happily replied, who could now be seen in front of me. I was still seated in my seat.

I immediately recognized this man.

The head of the Tokugawa family. Its current generation head.

Mitsunari Tokugawa.

Seeing his wide smile, he was every bit the person he was in the anime.

And he showed up out of the blue. Not only did he manage to locate Sainan High, he just let himself in, acting like he owned the place. I even saw a hint of worry appear in his eyes.

"Have your wounds healed yet? Sounds like you've been on a road of recovery since that old man of yours gave you a thrashing. That's what caused you to explore the world, wasn't it?", The old man asked.

"More or less, but what are you actually doing here, jiji? You seem to know me too. I haven't become that famous, have I?", I retorted with a playful grin.

"And interrupting an entrance ceremony no less! I was expecting better of you Baki. You have some rude acquaintances it seems.", Yui's angry voice spoke out, suddenly distracted.

Senior Tokugawa blinked his eyes right after hearing the angry voice being directly spoken into the microphone, considering Yui's current position.

"Warui-ja, jou-chan. I am on a pretty tight schedule, and don't have a lot of time.", Senior Tokugawa quickly explained, only to reach into his yukata, and pull out an obsidian-like envelope of sorts. It had no brand on it, but he proceeded to hand it my way.

"J-jou-chan...?", Yui's voice trembled a bit, appearing to have a light blush appear on her cheeks out of embarrassment.

"This is?", I wondered, seeing the old man pass this black sealed card my way.

"You recognized him, didn't you, Baki-kun?", Senior Tokugawa said, pointing toward the bulky bald man.

"Yo.", The bulky bald man replied all the way in the back, simply raising his hand up in the air, and gave me a hello.

As he did that, murmurs spread around some students, questioning whether or not that person's body was real. It definitely was quite muscular and thick, compared to my own.

"Doppo Orochi. Current grandmaster of the Shinshinkai Karate Dojo. How could I not know him? It's clear you brought him for a reason. I'm guessing it has to do with this black card.", I guessed, now holding the black card in my hand.

Hearing me say that, Senior Tokugawa grinned from ear to ear again. He really liked doing that.

"Doppo-senshu is holding a knockout tournament for his students at Tokyo Dome this weekend. Seeing as you're back in town, I figured you'd be interested in partaking in it. I wish I could explain more, but I'm on a tight schedule today. If you're interested, feel free to drop by.", Senior Tokugawa happily replied to me.

He then turned around, and put his hands behind his back, taking steady steps before he rejoined Doppo. Just like how swiftly they arrived, the two left, leaving most students in disbelief.

It didn't take them long before I became the center of attention again as some students erupted into a roar.

"Who was that!?", One of the students yelled out.

"You were Baki-san, right? Are you a professional fighter or something?", One of the girls sitting near me asked.

'Baki-san...', A familiar voice uttered to himself from further in the back, coming from Rito. He didn't expect the entrance ceremony to get disrupted with people who seemed to know his friend. That bald man he found especially scary. He could still feel his back doused in cold sweat.

'Now that isn't something you see every day...', Gojo also murmured to himself, showing growing interest in his eyes.

Yui just stood there at the podium speechless, seeing the muscular boy currently having the center of attention. Though as if he was disregarding everyone, his thoughts were currently elsewhere. After all, I was blasted by the sound of a few notifications, which had my current interest.

[Ding! You have encountered the owner of the Underground Arena, Mitsunari Tokugawa, the current head of the Tokugawa family. 5 STR gained.]

[Ding! Due to gaining STR, Baki's Blessing has been triggered. 6 STR has been gained.]

[Ding! Due to gaining STR, Ogre's Chains (Blessing) has been triggered. 3 STR has been gained.]

[Ding! Due to becoming the center of attention for every student at Sainan High, CHA has been increased by ten.]

All of a sudden, I heard a total of nine notifications sound off inside my head, leaving me with a blank look in my eyes. I mentally did the calculations and saw my stats after these gains. It really was about to go through an explosive growth...
