I am an Alchemist, but somehow my wife is a demon princess

The title says it all. The main character was and some of his classmates got transmigrated from earth into a fantasy lord to save the world. You get it all right. And somehow, he got the body of a demi-human, half human, half reptile. To top it all off, his job was an alchemist. He forgot shortly his real name, so he named himself Syzoth. He worked with his classmates for a while but then got kicked out. Why? Because the guy that got the job hero wanted all the girls for himself, and Syzoth was the only other male in the party. It also didnt help that the hero somehow managed to get manipulated by a devil, but that is a story for latter. Syzoth did just that, with the humorous knowledge that Syzoth no longer had to make free healing and magic potions for the ungrateful bastards to use. And so, he lived for a few months. The demon lord lived on, and one fateful day, Syzoth found a beautiful woman sleeping in the woods. Did he know that she was the eldest and most favorite daughter of the demon lord? No. But even after finding that out, they somehow got married. Oh, how he just loved to look at the face of the hero now.

The past (part 1)

Syzoth looked at the back of the tiefling as she left his mansion.

And only when he was sure that she left, did he calm down and sat down his table.

He thought to himself how he managed to come to this mess.

And to think he managed to find the missing princess.

But he decided to let her go.

He couldn't keep her with him.

He had paid a big price to be able to hide from the rest of the world.

Then he remembered his old days.

He remembered how he and many other children just woke up one day in a big castle not known to them.

After which, the king made them drink something, which caused them to lose their conscience. After a while he talked to a very powerful being, who gave him a new body and a new purpose.

And from the brief conversations he had with his soon to be colleagues, he found out that they were actually talking to gods and goddesses.

However, one thing was strange. The being that gave him his new body and abilities explicitly mentioned that it wasn't a god.

Syzoth did try to find out, and after he asked, the being decided to humor him, and answer him his questions.

The conversation that he had was indeed mind-blowing for the simple mind he had back then.

And that was the reason why Syzoth knew more than most of his colleagues.

Did he tell them the secret he found out? No.

He was sure that no one would believe him. And even if he tried to do so, he would most likely be executed by the people around him for spewing out heresy.

And for some reason, the being made him forget his name, and branded him with the name Syzoth.

What it meant Syzoth wasn't sure, but now whenever someone decided to ask him his name, the word Syzoth would naturally come out.

And even some of his collogues, some of who were his classmates also couldn't remember his name. Either the being was powerful enough to erase not only his memories, but those that served other gods, or they simply never cared to remember it.

He then decided that it was most likely the latter part.

He was always the strange and aloof guy in class.

He wasn't very sociable, or good in sports.

However, because of his upbringing, he was good in biology, chemistry and math.

That was probably the most likely reason he got the job Alchemist.

He also got a new reptilian body. The body made him possible to be immune to most other forms of poison and alcohol, enhanced his regenerative abilities, and his scales were sturdy enough to withstand some damage. On top of it all, his ability to smell the odor of other beings. For those that read "Perfume: The story of a murderer", imagine Syzoth having the smell of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille.

Syzoth was also capable of seeing in infrared.

And so, the party of heroes lived on.

They went all over the world, met all the different races, made new discoveries, killed monsters, abominations and even demons if they threatened the local population.

However, even in the new world, he wasn't really treated like a member of the group. He was more of a caretaker, that had to do most of the dirty work. You know, cooking food, making potions to heal injuries, making potions to regenerate mana of those that used magic, healing potions again, collecting venomous animals to make a poisonous potion so that the archer could make its arrows poisonous.

Curing all form of bacteria if one of the party members managed to get sick.

Making potions that enhanced speed, luck, strength.

More potions that healed wounds.

Yeah. That was most of his job.

He was the one who was responsible for the healing and buffing of his group.

There was a healer, but she refused to use her miracles as per her words, she could only use a finite amount in a day. She believed that her powers should only be used in the most dire situations.

So, the party stuck to using Syzoths healing and other buffing potions most of the time.

The healer did use her miracles. Twice. And that was only because one-time Syzoth used all all his ingredients for making healing potions. By the way, the party was fighting the first troll, so most of the damage they caused him was simply regenerated by the trolls healing ability.

The healer then decided to finally use her powers for the first time, healing everyone in the party, restoring all the powers and countdowns they had, and buffed their speed, strength and other shit.

Yeah, she basically used a senzu bean on everyone in the team.

And even then, the troll was only beaten because Syzoth used for the first time a venomous potion, and threw it into the jaw of the troll.

The venom caused the trolls healing ability to focus most of its time on fighting against the venom, while the other used the weaken troll to finish him off.

However, Syzoth was never thanked for the venomous potion at all.

All the thanks came towards the healer, and her boyfriend the hero.

Syzoth was however ridiculed for not making enough preparations in time.

If he thinks about it, most of the party members were jerks.

Except for him, the only man who somehow appreciated Syzoth inclusion on the team was the hero.

By the way, did I mention that everyone else who were alive were incredibly beautiful woman?

Yeah. And all of them only wished to get into the hero's pants.

That was the usual situation.

A village was threatened by something, like a reawakened dragon, or an evil sorcerer playing too much with powers he didn't fully understand, the hero party would get a message to help them, they would go there, eliminate the threat, go back, rinse and repeat.

That was the life Syzoth lived for the next 35 years.

That was a long time.
