64 The Dream of Fear

Emil left the cliff and walked forward.

At some point, the dark road was obscured by fog.

The visibility was so low that Emil could not see the picture on her arm.

The fog was getting thicker and thicker, enveloping her.

Emil was trapped.

She could see nothing now.

The anger that her physical condition had caused had gradually cooled down.

Anxiety and fear of her position filled her heart.

The throbbing pain in her arm stimulated her nerves, keeping her awake at all times.

It protected her from being swallowed by the endless fog.

Even so, Emil knew that if she had not thought of a way, it was only a matter of time before she was lost in the fog.

What should she do?

Emil asked herself, but she could not give any answer.

Despair began to spread in her heart.

Fear grew unscrupulously.

The oppression made Emil feel as if she was about to suffocate.
