Chapter 010 Quirk Awakening

Early in the morning a black car arrived in our house. Father went out and brought a tall muscular man with short brown hair and small triangle shaped beard. Looking at the guy whos wearing a suit his blank white eyes looked at me then said.

"Master, your son looked like you except that his more handsome than you." (Tiger)

"...." (Jake)

"Your Jake right. My name is Yawara Chatora also known as Tiger a Pro-Hero. Ill be the one responsible for training you a year. Nice to meet you." (Tiger)

"Nice to meet you." (Jake)

Father and mother took the entire luggage towards the car. Dad then went to Tiger to talk about few things while Mom went towards me and gave me a big hug. After that I went inside the car that Tiger

Driven and went off.

After driving for a few hours we stopped at a cliff like stop. In there waiting for us are 3 young women wearing cat like cosplay with different colors. Getting out of the car Tiger went towards them and suddenly the woman with a red hair styled with three bangs going across her face started talking.

"Lock on with a sparkling gaze!" (Red haired woman)

Followed by the emerald green haired woman.

"We've come to lend a paw and help!!" (Emerald green haired woman)

Then Tiger saying:

"Coming out of nowhere." (Tiger)

And the last woman with yellow hair said:

"Stingingly cute and catlike!" (Yellow haired woman)

"Wild, Wild Pussycats!" (All four)

Looking at the scene made me feel embarrassed.

Then the three women introduced themselves. The first one was the emerald haired woman.

"I'm Ragdoll and my quirk is Search which allows me to know about people just by looking." (Ragdoll)

Followed by the yellow haired woman.

"I'm Pixie-Bob and my quirk is Earthflow which allows me to change terrain in this mountain." (Pixie-Bob)

And lastly the red haired woman.

"And I'm Mandalay, my quirk is Telepathy which allows me to communicate with anyone in a certain distance." (Mandalay)

I introduced myself to them.

"My name is Jake Suzuki and Im quirkless." (Jake)

After my introduction the trio (women) specially Pixie-Bob asked questions about myself.

"Then, lets start the test!" (Pixie-Bob)

"Test?" (Jake)

"Yes. In order to grasp your ability, we need you to go to the camp right in the foot of the mountain. But in order to go there, you need to pass the beast forest." (Mandalay)

*RUMBLE*

Suddenly the ground around me rose and started to flow towards the cliff. I fell down the cliff without any injury thanks to Pixie-Bobs control over the soil. Patting away the dirt over my body I started walking towards the forest.

*RUMBLE*

Hearing that sound I looked at the forest and saw a lion made of earth which is 3 meters tall.

*ROAR*

The lion roared and charge towards me. I run straight the lion and meet it head.

*BANG*

*BOOOOM*

My fist collides with the lions paw. I flew a few meters due to the difference in strength. The lion pursued giving me no time to relax.

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

The lion continued its attacks. I avoided them all and jump upward for my next move to counter.

"Rankyaku!" (Jake)

*PSHHHH*

*BOOOOM*

The lion was cut into two separating its upper body to its lower torso and then became a dirt. After defeating the lion a few beast came. There was a giant bird, a bull, and a tiger defeating them all took me a few hours. After almost reaching the camp, a 5 meter tyrannosaurus appeared.

"The last boss huh." (Jake)

Opening its mouth, it tried to bite me.

*CRUNCH*

I jump to the right and roll to avoid and increase my distance. It then used its tail to attack by sweeping it.

*BANG*

*BOOOOM*

All the trees within 10 meters are mowed by its tail. I avoided it by using Geppo, escaping through air. Seeing me in the air, the tyrannosaurus opened its mouth and tried to bite me again.

*CRUNCH*

I dodge it using Geppo again by going higher in the air. Reaching a proper height, I used Geppo and Soru to built proper momentum and give its head a proper kick.

*BANG*

*BOOOM*

The tyrannosaurus head exploded and its body crumbled. After defeating the last boss, I finally reached the camp.

Wild, Wild Pussycat P.O.V.

"Such a strong boy, I should call my dibs on him." (Pixie-Bob)

"What technique did he use to cut that lions body?" (Mandalay)

"He can fly?" (Ragdoll)

"No he can't. I think he used a strong kick to generate a strong force making him float and go higher." (Tiger)

"Such a technique. Did you learn that from their dojo Tiger?" (Madalay)

"Nope. There was no such technique. Maybe it's new." (Tiger)

"His combat ability is good. How about we train him in different fields like rescue? Not many people are interested in the field in particular rescue. Most of the children today want combat field, they forget about the true role of heroes." (Mandalay)

"It's true. We should train him in different fields." (Pixie-Bob)

"Then it's been decided." (Tiger)

"Agree." (Ragdoll)

Jake P.O.V.

A few months had passed since then. I was trained on different field, not only in combat but also in rescue, how to survive and other things. They also trained me in patrols which I learned a lot. And then it was the day that my training ends.

"Jake. We have taught everything we know. Today is your last day so relax, tomorrow Im gonna send you home as I promised your father." (Tiger)

"I'm gonna missed you Jake. Come give big sister a kiss." (Pixie-Bob)

"No thank you Pixie-Bob." (Jake)

Night passed and I felt asleep.

I felt the familiar darkness and suddenly a bright light came.

"Been a while Jake." (Eincar)

"It's been a while GOD." (Jake)

"Call me Eincar. I'm not the only GOD here." (Eincar)

"Okay." (Jake)

"So Jake hows life?" (Eincar)

"You know how right?" (Jake)

"Well, I know. So tomorrow is your big day." (Eincar)

"I will finally have my quirk right?" (Jake)

"Yes as promised, but before that I think I should give you a gift." (Eincar)

"I'll gladly accept but what and why are you giving me?" (Jake)

"You know Jake, the reason why Im giving you a gift is because your body might explode because of the quirk." (Eincar)

"So the gift is related to the quirk. Let me guess. It should be the sacred treasure Rhitta right?" (Jake)

"Youre right. You know that sacred treasure Rhitta of Escanor helps him control and absorb the heat coming from Escanor. You who will have his power as a quirk will have the same ability as him but the difference is that Escanor has magic while you dont. This will be too much burden in your body and might cause serious injuries and even death." (Eincar)

"I see. Thank you Einca but can ask you to change the form of Rhitta, you know I'm not fond of axes." (Jake)

"Sure. What form would you like it?" (Eincar)

"I'm not into weapon or anything. Maybe a necklace or a ring." (Jake)

"Are you sure about that? How about gloves? Since you like fighting with your body." (Eincar)

"Sure. That's a good idea." (Jake)

"Okay, gloves then. It's about time you awaken." (Eincar)

"Yeah, it's about time." (Jake)

"By the way Jake, Happy Birthday! May you live your life to the fullest." (Eincar)

"Thank you Eincar." (Jake)

Saying that, Eincars light became dim and then disappeared along with the darkness as I woke up. When I stretch my body I found my hands covered with gold. I remembered Eincar saying that I will receive a gift and I requested a pair gloves. When I went outside to start my exercise then I felt energized as the sunlight hits my body. A few minutes later my body started to emit golden light. Tiger and the others saw this and became shocked.

"....." (Wild, Wild Pussycats)

Looking at them I realized that I have no alibi to what they are witnessing. Tiger came towards me and asked.

"Jake whats going on? Whats that in your hands?" (Tiger)

I answered feigning that I don't know.

"I don't know. When I woke up its already in my hands and when I started some light exercise this happened." (Jake)

Pointing on my body that is glowing.

"You must have awaken your quirk. This is amazing." (Pixie-Bob)

"Ragdoll, use your quirk and tell us what is happening." (Mandalay)

Ragdoll took a cat pose and used her quirk on me. She then said.

"Apparently his quirk is awakening." (Ragdoll)

"It doesn't make sense. Quirks should awakened in earlier years." (Mandalay)

"That we don't know. There are no certain things in this world." (Ragdoll)

"Wait here Jake I'm gonna call your parents." (Tiger)

I was waiting for Tiger when Mandalay and Pixie-Bob approached.

"...." (Pixie-Bob & Mandalay)

When they came near they were sweating like they were in a hot summer without shade. I realized that my body is reaching it's limit from absorbing sunlight. Then the temperature around me started increasing more and more. I pushed the energy from my body towards my hands which is covered by Rhitta (Gloves version). I felt all the excess energy started to go and disappeared in my hands.

'It worked. Thanks for Eincars gift or else I would definitely died.' (Jake)
