I started getting into e-sports when I was 16, during an era dominated by 3C Chenghai and Warcraft.

In that era

there were no high prize monies

only small internet cafe competitions

where winning meant 200 yuan in internet fees.

I got into Dota at the age of 18

and had teammates Little Fatty, Run God, Liu Fei, and Kang

We were poor

Everyone was poor

Drinking 2.5 yuan bottles of Nongfu Spring water every day

5 yuan chicken noodle soup for a meal, exceptionally salty.

The era of Dota had many touching moments, like playing 4 supports to 1 core, like Run God playing support for me for three whole years.

Back then in the ladder ranking, if I were to solo queue that day, people would ask me, "Where's your support?"

My support is now hustling in SH.

That year, I ranked in the top 100, undefeated in Shadow Fiend solo matches on the Netcom server for half a year.

So I say, I hate that I cannot dream back to eight years ago and walk the path of e-sports once more.
