17 Sudo's brawl
It was publicly known to us that Chabashira called for Sudo which made a lot of people suspect he is involved in some trouble.
As I was leaving the school, I received a call from Sudo to meet him in the gym. I had an idea what was the deal but had no idea why he was calling me of all people. Nevertheless, I decided to take a look at what he wants, it could also be that he just wants to repeat what we did when I acquired Clairvoyance skill.
"You are here, good..." Sudo who was waiting for me together with Yamauchi heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing me.
"Yo"
"Hey!" Yamauchi greeted me back. I greeted him just for the sake of appearance since I didn't like his personality at all.
"So what's going on?" I asked with a bored expression.
"Sudo is going on! He got himself into trouble with some students from Class C!" Yamauchi was the one who replied first and Sudo clicked his tongue in response before explaining the situation more thoroughly.
"So you say those guys are from basketball club and they attacked you first because they are jealous of your position of first-string on a team, you retaliated and hit them a few times too, right?"
"Well, yeah" Sudo sat down on the bench and nodded his head.
"And where are your injuries?" I rolled my eyes.
"What?" Sudo looked as if he didn't understand the nature of my question.
"If you are the one who was attacked first, where are your injuries? Or are you telling me you dodged and blocked everything while fighting all 3 of them? Do you have a tingle thingy?" I asked half-jokingly with a smirk on my face
"Tingle what?" Yamauchi was the one who asked this time but even Sudo looked very confused.
"Tingle thingy, Peter-Tingle, spidey sense...Seriously? Forget it!" I decided to drop it when I noticed they weren't catching on.
"Alright...now the question is what are we supposed to do about that?" I folded my arms and asked with a confused expression.
"I don't want to be suspended!"
"And you somehow ended up thinking that telling me was the best solution to your problem? Why don't you go ask for help from Horikita and Ayanokoji" I gave him a weird look.
"Ehh...It's true that Horikita and I reconciled a bit, however, I would still feel weird asking her for help. Would she even help me?" Sudo's head dropped down and he started staring at the ground.
"She would, no, in fact, she will no matter what. Whether she likes it or not" I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes.
"Why are you so confident? She might have helped us but it was mostly because we don't know the consequences of getting expelled."
*Sigh* "She is aiming for Class A, do you think she can spare those little class points we hard-earned? Just think about it, Chabashira announced that there has been a "school problem" during the distribution of the private points, however, that problem is this incident. She even mentioned we will get our private points later that is whether we still have any points left." I wouldn't call myself particularly smart, however, these two were beyond helpless.
"I think you might be right, the teacher did mention something about deduction of points if I can't prove I am innocent...however, Ike" Sudo muttered before calling out my name which made me calmly open my eyes.
The moment I saw his serious expression, I had no idea what to expect.
"Yeah?"
"You have changed...a lot. Why?" Yamauchi immediately backed Sudo's question.
"There is a certain girl that I fancy and she told me she likes the diligent and more serious boys" I just came up with the first excuse that came to my mind.
"Oh?! It's not Kushida-chan, right?! Then who can be even better than her? Who is she?!" Yamauchi questioned, feeling happy that one rival left the game.
"She is senior, you most likely don't even know her name" I tried to fish out the most embarrassing smile I could.
"OH! Senior?! Damn, Ike, you are more daring than I thought of you. Is that also why you dared to act the way you acted back at the library? Tell us her name!"
"Yeah, even if we don't know her, friends should share such important information!" Yamauchi added more pressure.
Both were now standing in front of me with their faces only a few centimeters apart from mine.
'They won't take no for an answer...I can't even say Ichinose or someone who is actually overall better than Kushida since I said she is senior...'
"Come on!"
As they drove me into the corner, a single person came to my mind who was both a girl and a senior. Plus she was completely unrelated to the story right now so those two would never get to meet her.
"Fuka Kiryuin"
"Eh? Never heard of her..." Both of them backed off with disappointed expressions as if they truly expected to know the person.
"I told you!" I shrugged my shoulders with a grin.
After that, Sudo asked me if I could gather the "group" so "we" could tell them about his brawl. I honestly felt like skipping on all this, however since Sudo's relationship with Horikita and Ayanokoji is slightly different from the original, I decided to at least act as a bridge since those changes were brought about by my interference. Unfortunately, I don't have contact information on Horikita so I just excluded her since Ayanokoji can relay everything to her later.

The discussion took place in Ayanokoji's place and everyone agreed to look for a possible "witness" of the fight.
"Ike, can't you like come up with something?!" Yamauchi suddenly exclaimed after a short moment of silence and I noticed that those words piqued Kushida's interest.
"Who the hell do you think I am? Doctor Strange? Want me to peek into millions of possibilities for you? No problem mate just say the magic word please and you will have a solution on your table." I frowned at him and replied sarcastically.
"Please?" I had no idea whether Yamauchi wanted to play along with me or if he truly was just an idiot.
I closed my eyes and stayed quiet for about 10 seconds.
"Yeah...I can see it...a solution to this problem!" I said while pressing my index fingers to my temples
"What is it?!" Sudo exclaimed as if he truly believed me.
"Solution: let the smartasses solve the trouble for you! Which means go to Horikita-san or Hirata-kun. Can't say I didn't try, unfortunately out of fourteen million, six hundred and five possibilities, I didn't see a single one where you solved this yourself." I gave him a bright smile and shrugged my shoulders as if to say "what a pity"
Everyone was staring at me without saying anything before the silence was broken by Kushida's chuckling.
"Hehe, you are strangely aggressive today, Ike-kun"

"Don't mind him, it's all because of the girl" Yamauchi explained which caused Kushida to turn at me with a shocked expression.
"You have a girlfriend, Ike-kun?!"
"Hah, he wishes! It's just a senior he fancies, what was her name...Fuka something" Sudo replied in my stead which caused me to widen my eyes and I had to quickly intervene before he could remember her entire name.
"AAAH! Don't spread false rumors!" I overpowered Sudo's voice with mine. I didn't care if those two idiots knew her name but someone with connections like Kushida was a different matter. If she truly put her mind to it, she would definitely find more information about her. Those idiots wouldn't bother doing something like that.
"False? But you were th-" Yamauchi turned at me with a confused expression but I quickly interrupted him by shifting the topic back to the Sudo's problem.
"Still, I think that we won't be able to fully clear Sudo's name even if our witness will testify in our favor."
"Why do you think so?" Kushida tilted her head to the side at my words.
"Sudo doesn't have any injuries on his body while he said that those 3 were beaten up by him. Something like that can hardly pass as self-defense. And even if we could prove that Sudo wasn't the one who initiated it, he still would be held responsible for injuring 3 students. Not to mention, who would believe 3 students didn't manage to overpower a single student, overall, this entire incident stinks."
"Are you sure you overpowered them or did it feel more like they were letting you beat them?" I turned at Sudo.
"How should I know? I just beat them in the heat of the moment!" Sudo clicked his tongue as he didn't like my suggestion that he shouldn't have stood a chance against 3 of them.
I thought of skipping this incident but it looks like I will have to at least exert a bit of effort.
