Gates Appeared

17 years have passed now.

Thomas, whose name is now Clark Benjamin. He was sitting at the edge of a cliff while his legs were hanging down.

His eyes were blue which were staring down at the beautiful river flow in the forest and his silver hairs were waving smooth due to wind.

"This place--"

He felt peaceful watching the scene.

I will be turning 17 tomorrow. I wonder what my mother and father planning to give me on my 17th birthday.

And Jin, I wonder what my little brother will gift me this time.

He smiled.

"He has grown up quite a lot, right, He's 15 now."

Lifting his head upwards, he looked at the sky and said.

He looked happy when he was staring at the blue sky and the moving clouds.

"Clark, come down here!!!"

The man noticed the boy and looked at him, with a smile. He moved his lips as if he was saying something.

Clark understood what the man was saying.

It was. "So Thomas, how's your second life?"

When his lips stopped, the man vanished into the air.

Clark was spaced out at the moment. He could not move but only watch the man vanish away.

"No way, he was that man"

He was surprised.

He rubbed his eyes and looked at the same place where the man just vanished away from.

"Maybe I was just dreaming, who knows"

"Right! I forgot my mother called me down. I need to get going before disaster hits!"

He ran as fast as he could. Pant... Pant...

"Where is that boy?"

The mother said who was waiting for Clark's arrival.

Clark appeared at a distance running towards his family.

"Brother!" The young sister said with a smile.

Once reached, he took deep breaths.

"Young man, do you know where you were sitting?"

While taking a breath. He lifted his finger and said.

"Yes, mother it's called cliff"

"I didn't mean that!! What if you fell from there, you careless child!!" The angry mother said.

"Don't you have any fear? What if the edge broke and you fell? If I ever saw you doing such a thing again, only God can save you from me"

Clark can only rub the back of his head and smile while listening to his worried mother.

His father was standing behind him and smiled.

I'm glad, I came to this world. Finally, I found peace. He said while looking at his family.

While going home in their car. Clark who was watching outside from the car's window.

He saw something appearing in the sky, it was like a black cloud.

What's that...

His mother with his siblings also noticed it. They were looking at it with a curious look.

"What's that? I have never seen the type of cloud"

Said Jin who was amazed by the cloud size.

Clark felt something off about the cloud.

The cloud begins to form a shape, a shape of a portal.

Noo... Noo... Noo...

After seeing the portal shape, Clark's expression was filled with horror.

He shouted at his father.

"Father!! drive as fast as you can and don't stop!"

Father didn't know why his son said that in a panicking manner, but he did what Clark told him to.

Tck... What's going on here, why have these gates appeared here?

His mother looked at Clark's expression and in a worried voice asked.

"Clark, what's wrong? Why did you say to drive the car fast?"

Clark didn't answer back as his focus was only on the front.

We have to get out of here as fast as we can.

While taking a turn. A giant orc appeared in front of the car.

Clark's father panicked as he tried to stop the car from moving further.

The arc grabbed the car and lifted it. He threw it off the cliff.

The car rolled while falling down the cliff and stopped at some point.

Car was destroyed, survival of anyone looked very less.

Clark was heavily wounded and his face was covered in blood. He was lying near the destroyed car.

While other family members didn't look as if they had survived, their bodies weren't moving or showing any sign of life.

He opened his eyes a bit. Trying to move his hand towards his brother, who was just beside him.

"Jin"

His was very weakened.

A system appeared before him.

[Yes][No]

Without any choice, he pressed the yes button as he did so. His consciousness fades away.

And the next moment he opened his eyes, in front of him was a dragon face which was staring at him.

In panic he said.
