61 Again

- Call me Danzo. - Danzo said, regaining his composure.

- Alright, Danzo-sensei! You came here to teach me that super duper powerful technique!? - Dai spoke excitedly.

Danzō didn't answer Dai's question and instead said:

- Follow me.

Dai didn't stop bombarding Danzo with various questions along the way. Fortunately, Danzō's experience in dealing with children has increased significantly after meeting with Higane and he somehow managed to restrain Dai's endless verbal flow.

When they left Konoha in a certain direction, which was very familiar to Dai, he finally realized where Danzō was taking him.

- Are we going to that forest again? - Dai asked.

Danzo nodded.

- What for?

- You'll see. - Danzo replied evasively.

Soon they finally entered the forest and continued walking for a while until Danzō stopped at one of the trees.

- Strike. - Danzo said pointing to the tree.

Dai looked at Danzō a little hesitantly, then looked away and hit the tree.

- Ay! It hurts more than I thought... - Dai pulled his hand back immediately.

- Again. - Danzo repeated.

And Dai struck again. The knuckles on his hands were reddened, and the phalanges of his fingers were imprinted with a relief of the bark.

- Again.

- Danzo-sensei, but why? - Dai asked, puzzled.

Instead of words, Danzō stood up and slammed the wood hard, leaving a deep dent in it.

- Repeat my blow.

Dai hesitantly stood up in a kind of stance and with all his might hit the same spot where Danzō hit. His knuckles gave out and one of them bled.

- Come on.

Clearly in pain in his hand, Dai approached Danzō holding it. Suddenly, before Dai had time to realize what had happened, bandages appeared on his arm.

- Hit 10 more times.

Silently, Dai returned to the tree and hit the tree, but he was cut off by a small pebble that flew right into his head.

- Keep your stance.

Having rubbed the place of impact a little, Dai got into a stance and began to perform strikes from it, counting exactly to 10.

Danzō abruptly appeared to Dai's left and again took up a stance, before striking with his left hand.

- Repeat.

Dai assumed a left hand stance relatively confidently and hit the tree four times with it, after which blood flowed from it.

- Hold... - Danzo said, holding out the bandages. - ...and keep a close eye on me.

Step by step, Danzō showed Dai how to properly bandage his hands.

- And now, beat alternating hands, changing the leg every 10 strokes. So 4 times.

Letting out a long groan, Dai approached the tree and with slightly shaking hands began to perform the exercise issued by Danzō. Sometimes a new small pebble would fly into it and it was always followed by Danzo's remark:

- Do not stand like a statue, bend your legs a little more! ..

- The non-dominant leg should look to the side and be almost straight!

- Why are you bending so hard? Stand straight!

With grief and in half, Dai performed the exercise, and his bandages were visibly soaked with sweat and blood.

- Come to me. - Danzo called him.

Dai slowly approached Danzō, his hands aching and aching. Suddenly, Danzō's hands glowed with a faint green light and he brought them to Dai's hands.

To his own surprise, after a few seconds, Dai realized that the pain and burning sensation in his hands had disappeared.
