Pacific Academy

Gin woke up early in the morning. He walked around the house and found that Lea was sleeping in the desk, there's some books that were left opened.

'It seems she fell asleep while studying' Gin thought as he walked over.

Gin picked up the opened book and looked at it. He read a few lines in the book before he shook his head.

'This girl is studying magic.' Gin looked at Lea who was sleeping. He then looked around the room and saw a blanket. He picked it up and place it on her shoulder.

He walked towards the window and opened it. He jumped through it and began to walked around the city. He wants to observe this city closely as the public didn't know the existence of this city.

"Pacific city, huh?" Gin muttered. This city was artificially created using magic and science.

"There are really other races here in the city beside a human." Gin thought as he saw a beastfolk walking in daylight.

"The mana density in the surrounding is on the same level as the Sylphen." Gin muttered as he felt the mana in the surroundings. Back then, he was just a normal human and didn't have any awareness about the mana in the surrounding.

'Maybe the mana density in this world didn't change much as there were supernatural beings in the world in the first place.' Gin thought as he recalled that the legend in the books were true. The beastman, dwarf, elf, and other supernatural beings.

"But the true legend didn't even make an appearance in the society, Norse mythology, Greek mythology, Gods of Egypt, Japan's shinto, angel, fallen angel, devil, and demons." Gin murmured. Yesterday, he asked Lea regarding those legend and she only said that according to the other races those Gods were true.

As for why they haven't made an appearance, Gin didn't know what kind of things entered in the mind of those gods.

'Maybe they like to observe the people.' Gin could only guess as the gods in Sylphen like to observe their believers. No, the gods here didn't appear for almost ten thousand years. They haven't even contact their people here. The Gods in Sylphen talked to their people through Oracle.

He met all kinds of races on the road and thought that it was peaceful here compared to Sylphen. He found a park and sat down on a vacant chair.

He travel back in time. He was from the future and that girl summon him to the past. No, let's not say that. His current body was clearly from this era as he couldn't feel his strength. His soul was only thing that came into the future.

In other words, he have no power right now. He was just a weak human with a soul of a powerful monster.

"Let's test it." Gin muttered as he closed his eyes and felt the mana around him.

Slowly guide the mana through my body. Once I did it, use the mana and temper my heart. Strengthen my heart so that it could stock the mana.

After an hour, Gin opened his eyes and took a deep breath. He smirked and felt that he was already at Apprentice Mage rank. He became an Apprentice Mage in just an hour. Back in Sylphen it took him four to five months. The hard part of this was controlling the mana but he, who's an Archmage, could easily control it like a part of his body.

An Apprentice Mage don't have any sub rank. The next rank is the Mage. People can become a Mage if they strengthen their heart to the point that it could pump the mana throughout the body like blood.

Gin thought that it would take a while before he could reached that level.

The next rank is the Elite Mage, Emperial Mage, and lastly the Archmage. Each of this rank have 9 sub-rank.

Gin could already cast many spells despite being an Apprentice Mage.

....

Lea woke up in the desk. She rubbed her eyes and yawn. She notice that there's a blanket on her shoulder.

"Huh?" She slowly stood up and went to the bed were Gin slept last night.

She opened the door, only to find that Gin was nowhere to be found.

She started to panic. Her summoned was out there without her. She thought he might cause a trouble somewhere.

She then remembered that she could somehow communicate with her summoned in a distance. She looked at the magic circle at the back of her palm and then she slowly closed her eyes.

She's concentrating very hard trying to reach Gin.

Gin felt a familiar energy trying to reach him.

"Hmm? Lea?" Gin thought that it was Lea who's trying to communicate him through summoning circle.

Lea felt that she's connected to Gin. She try to pass a message to him.

"Don't wandered alone, If you want to walk outside I have to accompany you as your summoner."

was what Gin received. He smirked and walked back to her house.

"Don't go out of the house cause it will cause me a trouble" Lea said to him.

Gin nodded at her and sat down in a sofa.

Lea went to her room and there she change her clothes to uniform. After she change to her uniform she immediately went outside and pick up her bag. She walked over at the cabinet and opened it. Inside the cabinet there was many different types of hat.

Lea pick up a brown color hat. She immediately wear it and walked over to the mirror to looked at her reflection.

The hat was covering half of the scar in Lea's face.

When Lea saw her scar she bitterly smile at herself.

Gin observe her for a while before he said, "Going to school?"

Lea nodded in response.

Gin decided to follow her to school even if she decline.

Lea went out the house as Gin followed behind her.

"Umm.... where are you going?" Lea asked him as she notice that he's following her.

"To you're destination.. " Gin answered her as he pointed at the school's direction.

"Beside, it's too boring in the house." Gin added as he looked around while following Lea. He was going to checked her school.

"Hmm" Lea didn't said anything and just let him followed her.

Many people looked at Gin who was walking behind Lea. He have a face that could even compare to those celebrities in their country. He gave off an aura of a nobleman. Every move he make was elegant.

Gin ignored their stare as he continue to follow Lea.

Gin and Lea arrived at the gate of the school.

Gin looked at the gate and saw a huge words "Welcome to the Pacific Academy."

"Don't worry about me, just go inside I'll be at your side." Gin said to Lea.

Lea lowered her head as her cheeks flushed red.

Lea nodded and she stepped forward to enter the gate.

Gin disappeared at his position as he used a spell called Invisibility. This was a spell that could make him blend in the surrounding. It was a spell for a Mage but he could still cast it. If there's any people that know how to used Mana sense then they would discover him.

He started to follow Lea in the shadows while curiously looking at the surrounding. It been twenty years since Gin entered an academy, so he looked around trying to the difference of the academy here in Pacific city and the mainland.

Gin began to observe Lea. Everytime she saw a person, she always lowered her hat and walked away. Every people she met started to talked about her, laughed at her, and sometimes they didn't even hide their voices as they openly mocked her.

When Gin saw this, his brows knitted together. He remembered that there's a lot of difference in this world's culture and the world that he was previously.

In that world called Sylphen, They didn't discriminate the people who have a scar no matter whether the scar was in their face or other part of their body. He remembered that there was once a princess of a kingdom that have the same spot of scar that Lea have. The scar was the proof that she survived a dangerous situation. They were called battle marks by some warriors in Sylphen.

'Well, to a world that was constantly in war, or attack by the abyss creature, it's pretty lucky for someone to just suffered some injury and leave a scar.' Gin thought. Even his three friend died in that world.

Here in Earth, people admire beautiful things. For girl living on Earth, everything is their face. And on Sylphen people admire the strong.

Gin continue to observe Lea. In the classroom, Lea didn't have a single friend that she could talk to, everyone isolated her.

'This girl..'

There was one subject that took Gin interest. The instructor teach the students about magic and supernatural being.

'Whoa!! There's a subject like this now.' Gin thought as he also listened to the lectures of the intructor.

But later Gin become bored of what the instructor was teaching. Apprentice Mage level were the level of the things that the instructor were teaching. Apprentice Mage was the level before someone become a full fledge Rank 1 Mage. Even a 6-7 years old child were at the level of Apprentice Mage at Sylphen.

Gin shook his head putting those thoughts at the back of his mind. He  then observed Lea once again. He saw her listening attentively to the instructor's lectures. She was absorbing every words that came out from the instructor's mouth.

He recalled where he found Lea early in the morning. She's studying magic late at night until she fell asleep without her knowing.

'I could teach a few things about being a summoner and maybe help her form her inner world.' Gin thought as he smirked while looking at her. With this he could finally rest in her inner world peacefully.

He then turned around and went back to her house. Using Invisibility spell was exhausting for an Apprentice Mage like him.
