28 28. Discussion (2)

It didn't take long for Mark to finish setting up the door.

"I didn't know you have this skill." Anna tried to shake the door but it didn't budge, which meant that the door is set properly.

"There are a lot of things to do in school, so it's important to learn more." Mark shrugged.

Lucy jogged down and hugged Mark from behind. "Come on, there's still one more door to set."

"Coming~."

Anna chuckled when she saw their appearance.

Dylan arched his eyebrows and then said, "After you're done, come back down first to discuss something and to take the keys."

Oh right, keys.

Anna was grateful that the keys for these doors were all marked, so she could find them quickly. Half of her mind was in the space and took out the keys to her hand.

"They're here."

"Then hurry up, Mark."

"Ok!"

This time, Mark was even faster while Dylan invited Lucy and Anna to his apartment. The reason was also very clear that there was a big table in his living room where they could gather together without the need to worry that there was not enough space.

"Why did you ask us to gather?" Lucy asked.

"Well, as you have seen the situation outside, the flood is rising and it's very likely that there will be problems in the future." Dylan's eyes narrowed. He kept contact with his grandfather and heard about some unsightly news.

His grandfather told him to be prepared, but there was actually not much that they could do.

Since these three were his friends, he also wanted to share with them.

"Huh?" Lucy was stunned. "What kind of problem?"

"Food, water, electricity, and even living space," Anna was the one who answered. In fact, when she heard Dylan's words, her mind fly to the apocalypse novels that she had read during her free time.

Many boys like Dylan would not read those kind of novels that was filled with nonsense. But Anna liked to read in her spare time and apocalypse theme was quite popular in the internet.

Because of this, she still has some knowledge.

In fact, she has been a bit worried about their situation, but she didn't mention it out because she didn't know how she should convey this matter.

"Yes. It's not known how long the flood water will continue to stay but the food in each and every household here are limited. If the flood water didn't decrease, we will not be able to get out to find any food." Dylan stopped for a moment and nodded at Mark who entered and closed the door.

"Even if there are some others who had enough food, it wouldn't last for a long time. Not to mention, there's news that the electricity and water will be cut in the next few days for the sake of safety," Mark added.

"How did you know about this, Mark?" Lucy was surprised.

"My father told me." Mark glanced at Lucy. "He and your father are working together to build a temporary safe base to shelter the people in this flood. It's said that the flood is not only in our countries but also others."

Lucy bit her lower lips.

Even though she didn't usually care so much about what her family were doing, but the main reason why she wanted to enter the military was because of her father. He's a general in the military with high position and a lot of responsibility.

Mark's father was also in the military, which was why the two of them were quite close and interacted with each other.

But if the situation was really bad like this, Lucy would definitely feel worry.

"You can try to contact them if you're worried," Anna said from the side. "For now, we should think about what we could do."

"Right." Lucy nodded solemnly.

Dylan looked at the two girls and then continued his words, "I suggest saving water and electricity one way or another. There should be some places where you can keep more water at home. As for electricity, you can charge power bank and the likes."

"Ok." Anna had done the experiment with the water and determined to fill her space with a lot of water. This was much better than those containers outside.

At the very least, she would not have to worry about this.

"But I don't have many power banks." Lucy frowned. "And there are not many containers at home."

"At this point, all we could do is to try."
