Vapos Water Ring War sport

"Everyone ready?" The announcer from the stand said. ^Vapos Water Ring War^ is an annual sports event held every once a month on the last day, and you just gotta know just how many would come here to relax from all the work. It's free for all, but there are some events where teams are formed. The game itself is kinda of like laser tag, and it was just a fun event I and sister talked about if this was going to perhaps get a game.

It's a 30-minute mini-game and the prize is a random item, not even I would know. it can be anything.

"Get ready Caid, I will show you you are no match for me in this game of water, I have the advantage."

"You underestimate my power, Xaviera."

"you two stop being mean to each other, let's all have a friendly competition!" Aveline came between the two rival stares and made Caid look away with a slight blush as she leaned closer to put a stop to this.

Xavierra looked away, with a little hmph and a smirk as she cast a side glance and saw the blush Caid had and smiled. The one she knew was a cold arrogant jerk, this one is at least honest, yet remained a jerk.

One part of my mind was getting competitive while the other had little trouble not to stare at her so obviously. and the third one was unexpected. It was like Caid's inner soul spoke to me.

"It's just harmless friendly bickering, isn't that right Xavier?"

"It's Xaviera with an A, it seems like you're still the A-ss Caid."

"Now, now the game will soon start," Fiora said. The group spread across the ocean, each person taking a different spot and preparing to start the competition.

"GO!"

multiple rings floated up, Caid got 3 at most, and they kept rising. to make it more fun, there are different types of rings and points. 

Normal blue ring- everywhere (1pt)

fake rings dark blue almost identical to colors(0pt)

bright yellow double point ring (2pt)

a mini-boss monster made of water (20pt) takes 50 hits and only spawns in the last 30 minutes of the game.

*Zam* *Zam* You could hear everyone gathered at this water game and enjoying themselves. Caid was not here for that, he was not going to lose to Xavierra, since magic is allowed. Caid uses his ice magic to stand on the water and slides past people gathering as he goes, only a few know he can control both of the innate powers people are born with so he had to hold back by only using ice.

from under him, he got launched up in the air by Xaviera who cast her water magic sending him up with a ¤Rising Aqua blast¤ 

"whaaa!" Caid was caught in surprise and soon fell down when he was almost 10 feet up, Caid calmly asserted the situation and as he fell, he made an ice slide to avoid a big geyser blast.

"Xaviera! Damn you…!"

She had a smug face, smiling, and didn't try to hide it was her. Caid smiled back and used his ice magic to freeze it and since it was not a hot geyser blast he could freeze it quickly and use it as a platform to jump back up into the air. He then created a huge ice slide and used it to glide down, avoiding the rest of the Geysers that were shot at him. He landed safely into the water and Xaviera went and gathered more points.

"Damn that brat." Caid had to focus, he didn't know how much Xaviera had, but Xavierra looked like she was on a streak. 

Caid focused on gathering points quickly by shooting through the water rings as fast as he could, as well as trying to stop other players from doing the same. He used his ice magic to create a barrier of ice to slow down the other players and then used an ice magic ice slide to move around the area and gather more points quickly.

–All Participants there are only 12 minutes left!

Now Bosses all spawn around the field, and people who are not confident taking it on it's because they are afraid of getting hurt as the bosses defend themselves when they are engaged in battle.

Caid hurried over with Ice Gliding on the surface of the water to get to his destination faster. Xaviera and Caid stood side by side staring at each other as they arrived at the same boss monster.

"This one is mine."

"No it's mine."

They each pointed at the water monster and shot at the boss with their water guns, and it evaporated down as they both got half a point. Xaviera glared at him and Caid did the same. Tch! no time to stare at her in a staring contest. I need more points.

Caid suddenly got splashed by Aveline, who just wanted to have fun which calmed Caid down, she brushed her red hair away and smiled. She didn't mind the competition between the two, but she thought if he had such an angry face, he wouldn't enjoy the moment right now.

Caid had to thank her, but right now, he needs to gather more points. Avie watched him leave with a smile, it was a new side of Caid again. Caid having genuine fun…not the…Avie shook her head, Caid was finally being honest with her, his smile was much kinder and he already had her infatuated even if she didn't like how fast he quickly had her wrapped around him.

"Idiot…"

Caid searched and searched and quickly fired up his score by a large margin, but he didn't want to slow down, he didn't know how much Xaviera might have. and went on and on scoring up little over 50 points.

–All Participants there are only 60 seconds left!

"come on…come on…" Caid ran and ran on top of the water firing everything in his sight. hoping to gain more points in this little Adrenaline rush in his blood.

7…6…5…

Caid saw a boss that wasn't really bugged on as most people avoid it since it could fight back. Caid just stopped and fired from a distance since he didn't have a good time left. And fired as many shots as possible.

4…3…2…

but Caid wasn't the one taking it down, it was Aveline who got the last hit, and stuck her tongue out and looked cute as the sun over her dazzled on the water reflecting a delightful picture that will forever be engraved in his mind.

But even if that was the case she still mocked him and maybe ruined his chance.

"Dammit…Aveline…" he could only chuckle lightly as he swiped his hair backward.

Everyone let out a cheer or a relaxing sight after the loud signal ended. Aveline walked towards Caid with a charming smile and only stared at him in the few moments in which they were in their own little world.

Aveline pointed the gun toward Caid and fired it at him again like she did a few moments ago. She let out a cute little angelic giggle and Caid took it to the face and was going to set himself of rage scolding her until…He let out a sigh and let out a laugh of chuckle he didn't know he could.

It was Aveline's first time actually hearing it without any mean intention and she found it to be another sign of the new Caid that has changed since he fell off the stairs, she wondered…but she shook her head. 

"Oi, Caid,It's time."

"Tch…"

his mood got ruined but he calmly followed Aveline and Xaviera out from the beach, he had enough for today.

"Ladies and Gentleman, and kids!! Thank you for participating in our end of the month games ^Vapos Water Ring War^, now is the moment some of you have been waiting for!!"

Caid was sure he racked up a huge amount, yet he couldn't be nervous that he was behind Xaviera.

"In the top 5, we have 'Fiora' with 178 points. Aveline Wykes with 193 points. on the 3rd we have Both Caid and Xaviera in 2nd…with 248"

Caid and Xaviera looked at each other, How? and waited till they announced the winner.

"It's Alex! With stunning 262 points, congratulations."

"Who…?" Caid thought. He looked around to not someone he recognized. then, he saw Dave walk up with an awkward expression and a happy one.

"So it was Dave…"

"I can't believe I tied with you and lost to…this guy…"

"Yeah…likewise…how…just…how?"

while Caid and Xaviera were angry and sulked over a shared 2nd place, Dave felt like he just offended his master and gave him the mysterious prize, he already had Fiora, so he didn't really need something that may end up him with losing the job.

"Well…do you want the box…master?"

"Sigh…Congrats Dave…even though I'm not happy losing I accept the compensation for your resignation papers."

How cruel, Dave thought really hard inside him! "Fiora…let's get some ice cream?"

Fiora looked at Alex 'Dave', and back at Caid. "hmm…master is it alright?"

Caid nodded and dismissed both Dave and Fiora. Now he held up a box, Aveline and Xaviera both hung on his shoulders looking at the prize. "what's inside?" Caid grew a vein and tried not to push them off.

"I can't open it and know myself if both of you…" Caid stopped. when he got a closer look, they were stunning in their swimsuit, once again he felt he couldn't really avert his eyes away. Xaviera had an almost shy angry glare and Aveline was a shy maiden who got embarrassed all of a sudden.

"I poke those eyes out if you don't quit staring, Cadence…" Xaviera threw an insult to further her embarrassment of what she felt was eying her.

"w-why have you gotten quiet all of sudden…!?"

"I…!"

But before he could reply…the mysterious box glowed from the top lid and shone brightly Caid just had to see with his own eyes and open the lid to find…
