The Village!

Lance Fehrman was confused.

But most of all, amazed.

He looked down at his hands with emotion, rubbing one against the other. He gently touched his own face, running his fingers through the strands of hair that had fallen out earlier.

His eyes met Venya's for a brief moment.

She was still stunning. Her demonic horns were gone and her cross-shaped eyes turned to circular pupils.

Hermann also had his draconic eyes replaced by more human-looking ones.

"This... This is amazing." Lance said still ecstatic.

"Was this how you looked before the transformation?" Venya asked with her arms crossed.

Hermann was looking at his reflection in a small pool of water.

Lance nodded in confirmation.

"You are cute as a human."

The man smiled.

"But I still think you're better as a monster. Looks prettier."

He closed his eyes and frowned.

"For real?"

She shrugged.

"I think you look better in any form, Mr. Fehrman." Hermann spoke with his eyes still fixed on the pool of water, looking into his new human eyes.

"Thanks, Hermann."

Lance felt the breeze for a few seconds and looked up at the gray sky. It was about to rain.

"Let's hurry to the village. As I said, it's not far from here."

"Guide us, benevolent lord." Venya spoke sarcastically.

A smirk followed by small but audible laughter became visible to Lance. He just ignored the horrible joke and started moving on.

Venya was in the middle, while Hermann finished the line of completely ordinary people.

The raindrops began to fall synchronously. Everyone's clothes started to get soaked. Hermann and Venya were worried and Lance didn't give a damn about their wet clothes.

He wondered if his brother was worried about his disappearance.

They were never closer and when the brother received the blessing, the distance between them, both emotionally and in terms of strength and power, was quickly realized by both.

Lance decided to go his own way.

Away from the family that left him behind because of all his failure.

Away from his problems.

He wondered if he happened to be stronger than Ronald now.

Eventually, they would have to face off. And one of them would definitely be dead on the ground.

Could he do that to his own brother? The question stuck in his head.

Could he kill all humans?

Having so much blood on his hands, even from people he'd never seen in his life?

He couldn't stop thinking about it.

"Hey! Lance!" A female voice called him.

"Hey, Lance!"

"Are you going to move or not?"

He finally snapped out of his mental trance and faced Venya, who was now in front of him.

"What happened?"

"You are what happened. You stood there for about five minutes looking at nothing."

He put a hand to his head, lifting his wet hair.

"I was just thinking a little bit."

Venya calmly returned to her previous composure.

"What were you thinking?"

"It was nothing. Come on, we're almost there. The forest is big, but it's easy to get around all that bush. It has many shortcuts." He started walking again, staining his shoes with mud and squished insects along the way.

Walking for another thirty minutes, they finally arrived at the desired location.

A village that emerged with constant immigration and migration due to the two dungeons that were close to the place.

Less than a thousand people lived there. More precisely 958 humans.

Its medieval appearance was the grotesque charm that attracted tourists and hunters from all corners of the world.

Lance smiled.

He opened his arms, turning to his two new team members.

"Welcome to Dungeon Village!"

The rain stopped and the gray sky disappeared, giving way to a sunny sky.

"What a horrible name." Venya said.

"I agree with our horned friend." Hermann added.

"Okay, maybe the name isn't the best, but the food is certainly good. I've stayed in several hotels around here."

Venya and Hermann looked at each other.

"Hotels?" They said at the same time.

Lance turned to face them with furrowed brows. "Don't you have hotels in your worlds?"

They shook their heads.

Lance considered the situation for a moment.

"What did you eat in your worlds?"

"Roasted demon ogre meat accompanied by a glass of crystal blue wolf blood."

Venya said as she licked her lips at the memory of the taste of her native food. Lance couldn't even open his mouth to say anything.

Hermann also shared it.

"I miss eating the breasts of blue demons."

Lance looked at him startled and Venya brought her hands to her breasts as if to protect them.

Hermann saw the situation.

"I would never eat yours! They were horrible bluish creatures, similar to a slimely dragon. They were the native food of my people!"

"Well you are in my world now. And what's not lacking is food... at least for some."

They walked to the entrance to the village, where a worn plaque thanked them for their presence and indicated the number of inhabitants.

Lance only thought of two things: Food and the vast item stores.

They may not be the best as they are far from the capital, but they are economical.

"Let's go shopping, guys."
