I'm The Ice King In Adventure Time?

A man dies and is reincarnated as Simon Petrikov AKA the Ice King in Adventure Time. Watch as he tries to master magic and stay sane as the crown is slowly breaking his mind apart. This will be sorta slow plot as you know... Simon is 1000+ years behind the start of the plot of the show. Also, this is my first try writing a character like this for this series. Mc will behave similarly to the original Simon Petrikov but instead he will be more invested in magic and generally just smarter/less cartoonish. I'm trying to have him be a really smart ancient guy by the time the plot starts.

A Chilling Step

'That... was unexpected' I thought as I finished signing a few papers from Johan Bardsley, or my new Father.

It seems he had the master plan of keeping an eye on me by adopting me... and considering the notion that I am an orphan I had no real choice in the matter. It can't be all bad as even though I will miss some people and things from the orphanage I will no longer have to struggle for money.

Johan Bardsley is as rich as he is important, meaning very. He made a very sound contract to me, saying that I would work for the Government, make new security systems for their data, and so on... but the interesting bit was the benefits I would get.

I would get put through any college free of charge, and I would also be given a wage based on my work. It can be changed later on in the future depending on how hard I work for the Government, meaning I have money for as long as I need it.

'And with my plans, I will need a lot of money...' I thought to myself as I was being driven to the orphanage to get my belongings.

Johan from what I can glean from him, is a kind, yet very prideful and serious man. He is intelligent but not overly so, but the real danger lies in how he can see through most people's intentions.

He doesn't try to lie, or at least I haven't caught him on any lies so far. But I can currently only hope that he won't be too bad, as I will be living with him until I am 18.

Once I am 18 I will be able to move anywhere I wish according to him so long as I keep working for the U.S. Government. He made it very clear that he only adopted me to keep an eye on me, and for now, I am okay with it.

'After all... this is only the start.' I thought while looking out the car window, seeing the car pull into the road that led to my old home.

Straightening my suit coat I breathed in and out at the sight of 20 police cars blocking everything on the road. 'Let's hope they didn't find my Master Key' I prayed as if they did they would confiscate it for a long time, trying to figure out if it was a storybook or some secret code.

"Alright Simon, do you want any help moving out?" Agent Carter, the driver asked me.

Being pulled from my thoughts I blinked before responding. "Uhhh, no thank you, Agent Carter, I luckily don't have many possessions so I won't take long." I awkwardly said.

"Alright, I will be waiting here. Also, the computer that you used is confiscated and Mr Bardsley will get it to you sometime this week." Agent Carter said as he got out and opened the car door for me.

I simply nodded to acknowledge that I heard Agent Carter while inwardly I was hoping they would return it all in one piece. I had no doubts that if I was caught they would try to figure out how I hacked them, fortunately, I ensured that my computer deleted most of the code for my virus as it uploaded.

'Hmm, well this is worrying.' I sweated slightly as I saw all of the Police and FBI glare at me as I passed them toward my room.

"They are definitely not happy..." I muttered as I went into my room only to see it ransacked.

'What else could I expect?' I thought as I saw that my computer was missing, and everything from my closet was thrown out onto the floor.

Looking behind me I made sure the door was closed and quickly went to my open closet to grab a suitcase. Opening it I immediately went to my Master Key, grabbed it, and put it in.

After making sure that the book was in the suitcase I began to put my personal belongings in as well. I didn't have much and I wasn't joking to Agent Carter when I said that. At most, I have a few different outfits, books, and a computer.

I had a single photo from my 12th birthday that had the majority of the orphanage population within it, but besides that, I had nothing that I valued. I have just always been too busy pushing towards the future, trying to find my own way in life before everything comes tumbling down in the future.

"Oh well, I guess this is it..." I thought sadly as I looked at my half-full suitcase. I felt like a main character from a sad orphan movie or something.

Rolling my eyes I frowned. "I will have more things eventually. Luckily by mooching off of the Government and Bardsley I now can buy stuff." I said before shutting my suitcase.

Doing a once-over of my room I smiled before heading out the door.

[2 Year Time Skip, 1977]

"Simon, have you finished your work?" Bardsley asked as I walked down the stairs of my house.

"Yes Old Man, I have finished setting up online defenses against Russia. I made sure to use the small team of hackers you provided me to make sure it is airtight." I responded to Johan before sitting down at the kitchen table.

I have been very busy recently with programming and teaching others how to program properly to defend our Country's secrets.

Bardsley grimaced at my nickname before going back to reading some documents that he was given.

The relationship between Bardsley and I has been decent for the past 2 years. We have slowly become closer to each other to the point that we view each other as slight friends. Bardsley was a very important and busy man and made sure I stayed just as busy as he was by holding me to my contract.

I've found out that through my 2 years of living with him, he was one of the few people in the Country who managed all of the agencies. His job has no name, and on the records, he doesn't even work for the Government. In total from what I could get from him only 5 people in the Country work with him to manage all Governmental agencies, and are all part of a group that is mostly off records.

The most interesting fact that I found out about him though was that he was very good friends with the Director of the Magic and Thaumaturgy Agency. Within one week he found out that I knew about magic, and let's just say he was very upset.

To this day I have not said much about how I know about magic, but because of my cautiousness, I have gained the attention of the Director of Magic and Thaumaturgy.

It was a very interesting meeting when Bardsley introduced me to their Director, and even more interesting when I was shown magic by said Director.

"Simon?" Johan Bardsley questioned and waited for a response before looking towards Simon and sighing.

*Cough!* Bardsley coughed loudly dragging me from my thoughts.

'Huh!?' I stared at Bardsley who was deadpanning at me.

"Simon, you are turning 18 within a month. Do you want to move out or stay here? If you do wish to stay here I will allow you to stay here until you get your Undergraduate degree." Johan said before sipping some coffee.

'Man, I have got to quit getting stuck in my thoughts...' I thought before taking a sip of my coffee.

"Well if it is okay with you, I would like to stay here for the meantime. Of course, I will usually be at school, but I believe I can get my Undergrad degree within 2 or 3 years instead of the required 4." I said to Bardsley before looking outside at the snow on the ground.

Bardsley looked at me before writing something on a document. "Very well, I wish you the best in College. Furthermore, I have a letter for you from Director Leopald." He said before sliding me a letter.

'From the Director of Magic and Thaumaturgy?' I thought to myself as I quickly grabbed the letter from Bardsley.

'Director Oscar Leopald, the person in charge of everything weird and magical in the Country.' I thought to myself as I remembered the scant few times I had talked to him in person.

He is a nice man who keeps his thoughts and true intentions well hidden. The most I have ever spoken to him was when he interrogated me on how I knew about magic, but since then I have rarely spoken to him.

"Well then, let's see what Director Leopald wants with me," I said out loud before tearing the letter open. The envelope was a normal white envelope with the only thing of interest being the purple wax stamp with his agency's logo on it.

Speed reading the letter my straight face slowly changed into that complete shock. 'No way...' I thought before rereading the letter over before suddenly leaning back in my chair.

"Well, Simon? What does it say if you don't mind telling me."

Looking towards the ceiling I grinned before I slowly began to chuckle. "Well Old Man, it seems I just found myself I new job." I excitedly said before laughing.

Standing up I did a little cheer and folded the envelope. "Yes! This is great! Leopald said I can come to work for him once I am through with undergrad!"

The day was a day of celebration for me as I just found my way into the world of magic by complete and utter coincidence.

Authors Note time! Yipeeee.)

Alright so I know this chapter doesn't make much sense but I will describe the Leopald guy more in the next chapter. As for Bardsley he is currently going to remain as a person for Simon to go to for help, similar to a parental figure but still not all the way there. More like an Uncle who was forced to watch his brothers kids that he doesn't like.

I plan on picking up the pace in the Time Line so I am sorry if it seems like I am going fast, but 1000 years is a ton of time to go through.

Bardsley and Leopald will continue to be a part of Simons life for the up coming future, and Simon is still going to be a hacker for the Government as well, but now he has a chance to get into the magic side as well.

Anyways hope you enjoyed, comment if you have any sick ideas for the future.
