Blackmore

Blackmore living in the favela all his life but always wanted to be a drug dealer and be powerful and to be feared, so Blackmore went into trafficking to have power, which was why he was a criminal and everyone loved and respected him for that. He made sure his people were treated well because Blackmore wanted respect from his own folk. Blackmore knew many drug dealers didn't want respect nor did they wanted justice, so he was going to be the only one that got justice. So he decided to give them some, and he also got a lot of money for it. Blackmore didn't care though and kept on doing it until he became very popular with his people. Then he was asked by someone if his people would like to join his drug trade. Everyone was happy with the idea. They loved to do stuff and it made Blackmore feel great knowing his family would be safe. It was a big decision but he decided to go along with it because he wanted to protect his people. He didn't really think about how dangerous it could be for himself since he just wanted to have fun. The more he thought about it, however, the worse it sounded. But he agreed to join the drug trade, anyway, because that was what his people needed the most.

One day when Blackmore was out on business he heard a commotion behind him so he turned around to see a crowd gathered outside of a store. The crowd is screaming something and shouting at each other, but Blackmore couldn't hear anything. Blackmore tried to get closer to hear what was happening but everyone kept getting closer to stop him. Blackmore had to stay back to avoid being hurt, or else the people would kill him. Blackmore stood there thinking what to do for a while before someone approached him. "What happened here?" asked a voice next to Blackmore. Blackmore turned around and saw two men standing next to him. Both wore black suits, sunglasses, black caps, and black sunglasses on their faces, except for their eyes. One man has short wavy brown hair and green eyes whereas the other has white long hair with purple streaks through it. Blackmore knows that men don't usually wear their hair that way unless they are men who want to be looked at as strong, masculine figures. Blackmore didn't think they looked intimidating and instead looked very normal like they weren't trying to be mysterious, like they weren't criminals. The man with blue eyes was standing tall and proud like a warrior while the guy with brown hair was standing down to his knees looking weak. Blackmore felt intimidated by this pair.

"Well...it's an open secret now…" said the guy with blond hair and green eyes. Blackmore looked puzzled at him. What does he mean? Was he talking about what happened outside? "There were these drug dealers selling drugs nearby and the police came out and arrested them. We know nothing about why but they're locked up now" replied the man with blond hair with a slight smile. Blackmore was still confused. 'Didn't they see anyone? Didn't anyone try to stop these men? How come those men got away with murder?' Blackmore was feeling scared at the sight of those guys. He thought he could never face a group of people like them. He could see that they're not going to back down, so maybe his best option was to escape and go back home, wherever his home is. Blackmore thought for a minute, trying to figure out where it was. Then he thought that maybe it would make sense if he escaped from that place to the next city over so no one knows where to find him. If people find him then he'll probably be in danger. There must be another way. Blackmore suddenly realized that it was easier to leave the country than to escape from Mexico. After the war between drug cartels there had been some peace talks, so the government wouldn't take action against the cartel members anymore, although it was just for appearances. And now that Blackmore thought about it, there wasn't any reason that he would go back to America, either. All Blackmore cared about was his people. He would never run away if he can help it, and his people were his biggest priority ever. Now that Blackmore was aware of what the world is today, he knew that if he stayed alive it was possible that he will encounter even more dangerous creatures like those traffickers. Blackmore thought about what he should do for the first time. He was in a foreign country, so his best plan was to stay put, wait for things to calm down and decide if he should go back home or not. Blackmore looked at the street and saw that the crowd had stopped yelling and everyone was silent. Maybe they were done with whatever argument they were having. Blackmore wondered how long they would stand there debating. A car pulled over to the side of the street and a man got off the car, walked towards Blackmore, and said, "Excuse me but you look like you need our help?"

The guy with blond hair answered the call for help. "Yeah we do," he replied.

The car started driving away after the guy with white hair said, "You two go ahead without us, I'll catch up soon. I promise". Blackmore looked at him and nodded in understanding. It was weird to think that this guy knew him or something. "Alright. I hope you find your friend" he said, "we both know how hard it is for drug dealers to find new ones". The two guys just smiled, thanked him for offering, then headed inside the building. Once they were inside the building, Blackmore thought that perhaps he was supposed to follow them since they seemed important enough to be escorted into this building, but what was his purpose? Blackmore walked in confusion, following the guards and walking into an elevator. Once in an elevator, Blackmore wondered why they would be riding on this elevator. Blackmore didn't have any other choice. When he entered the elevator he saw a small screen with the words 'SECURE COMPOUND ONLY'. Once the door closed, it was a quick ride down. The elevator opened in front of the entrance of a large building. The guards walked past Blackmore without saying a word and left. Blackmore looked around to see that the compound was almost empty except for some people working on computer or in labs. People were cleaning up everything while wearing protective hazmat gear. Blackmore looked confused once again. He wondered what the place was used for and who exactly was responsible for it. Blackmore looked around one last time and saw a man wearing hazmat suit approaching him. "Excuse me, Mr. Blackmore?" Blackmore recognized this man and bowed slightly. The man introduced himself as Dr. Zhen, a scientist at the science base. "Do you mind accompanying me?" Dr. Zhen asked politely. Blackmore was hesitant but eventually gave in to the doctor's request. "Let's go then", Dr. Zhen led Blackmore to a small office with a table in the middle. It had a laptop with a bunch of data connected to a projector. The doctor sat at the table, gesturing for Blackmore to sit opposite him. He sat down at the table, still confused as ever. Dr. Zhen pressed a button, causing the projection to turn on, and began speaking. "This facility is a laboratory of science. This facility has all sorts of experiments that scientists have been trying to perfect for decades now. This project is called 'Permanent Death Stares', or, PPDMS, the name given to it by the organization known as the Black Market. Basically, it's a way to use PPDMS to permanently freeze your victims' brains. It's an extremely dangerous project, so I am glad that you joined us".
