1 Prologue

"Ugh..." Surrounded by people who pointed fingers at me for being a villain, I smiled for the first time. I was still dodging all of their attacks rapidly. I have to lose them. I turned to the big willow tree which indicated I was closer to the forest's floating island and jumped to the other side. damn it! I need to use the assassins' techniques from the sookyung Clan. But then I'd be pointed at as a traitor! Crap. I looked around for anyone else who could've been chasing me and an arrow shot right past my face.

I glanced at the direction it came from and frowned, I have to find a way out! I've dedicated my life to this clan and even killed for these people because of what I owed them! but now...I zoomed right past one of the elders in the clan and looked around for an idea. I finally spotted my saviour, Of course! I can use the vine to swing myself from place to place, it'll also make the distance from me and the archers smaller, they can't work in small distances unless they've already become one of the elder's guards, they can work in short distances because of their Qi, I have to be cautious.

I finally reached a cliff with hot lava at the bottom and halted, the rocks I bumped into fell and burned before they even touched the hot liquid. I stared at it, Well...I guess I should just give in. I sighed and turned around to find familiar faces, my brown-crimson hair fell from it's tidy ponytail, and swayed with the lava's small breeze, I could feel the small sparks fly on my bare shoulder.

"YU YAN! YOU CAUSED ALL THIS!!! YOU TRAITOR! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO THIS!! AND TO GO AS FAR AS KILLING OJII-SAMA!!" A girl with flowers in her braids and light bangs over her forehead shouted in fake sobs. A soft smile painted the emotionless girl's face as she spread out her arms like wings, closing her beautiful bright blue eyes and letting herself fall down slowly down the cliff.

I'd rather die at my own hands, than at those I used to love the most...I thought she was my friend. I pondered as my clothes burned and the people on the cliff called out my name in desperation, while the girl who was once my friend snickered at her warmth-longing sister.

"I appreciated every moment I spent with you, Sayo," Tears slipping down her eyes as she had given it her all. I was all alone in the past, locked up and beaten, She was my one and only Companion. I want to make frien--

"...Goodbye, Sayo-S...a...n" I mouthed as I woke up to a warm embrace from a woman with a small soft smile, her eyes tenderly looking at me, tears in her eyes.

I closed my eyes again and fell asleep, I opened my eyes and it's been time since I'd arrived in this world.

I sat there in a prairie cultivating with all my might, ever since I learned of this world and it's different aspects and characteristics from my old one. Apparently this world has a system where only the strongest can survive, I am only 6 years old and my name is Yu Yan.

Once I finished Cultivating my internal energy I ran back to the cabin and started to prepare the table so my mother and I could eat.

"Mama!" I called out, I was inside the small cabin preparing soup for my mother that was ill and tired, but she still managed to get up and forge swords beyond human comprehension that not even I after living with her for 6 years years understand yet.

"Have you rested well, Mama?" I asked her with a small smile, she smiled back and nodded. "Mama, what type of sword did you make this time?"

She took out two fingers and showed me the rims of the sword this time, it had Diamond encrusted into it. "Mama, wouldn't it be better to replace the diamond with gold since it's harder?"

She shook her head in denial, "Diamond can be reinforced as well with spiritual energy (aka internal energy) making it stronger than before," She spoke softly, she had callouses on her hands and dirt on her body, she was so thin that you'd think she was just a stick.

"Mama, dinner is ready." I smiled, this person I knew wouldn't betray me, because she, even when others asked her to sell me, she still kept her ground. She was strong and brave unlike any other, but, for the longest time I've known her, she's always been very sad and quiet. She only spoke when it was necessary.

"Here Mama," I told her, she sat down and ate silently, but I kept talking, "Mama, will you teach me how to forge a weapon someday, just like you?"

"Yu Yan, that's what Blacksmiths do. We're different. We don't forge or create, we make sparks. Sparks are a simple technique used by most sparkers, those who create them were a lot." She confessed as she kept biting on her noodles. I smiled and kept eating.

"Mama, I'll clean your clothes," I told her, she nodded and left her shoes behind as she opened the door to her room and went back to resting. I smiled softly and swiftly, as I walked outside to see it was almost afternoon. This world was so much more different than mine, it's so peaceful, it was all I'd ever wanted. wasn't it?

She's probably tired from all the forging, after I hang up the clothes I'll just cultivate my spiritual energy. I'm almost at the peak of my scarlet gaze*. I hummed as I dried the clothes and shoes at a pole outside our cabin. There was also a village nearby, but ever since we got here we haven't talked much to the village elder or any of the other kids, so I'm usually always with Mama.

I started to skid away from the pole, feeling the breeze caress my face as I jumped from rock to rock and cliff to cliff, Until I finally reached the forest just outside the village and found a peaceful and warm spot. The forest was almost magical, it had viridescent and cyan plants, fireflies that couldn't even be called fireflies anymore since they were now the color white like snow. It's time I get started. I closed my eyes sitting down with my legs crossed, I could see an empty place, it was inside my mind.

I looked around and stood up in this mental place of mine, I found a bright white light floating in the midst of it, but there was also another that shone a bright purple color. I tried to get closer but the pressure pushed me down, like gravity was going against me now. crap! what's going on?! I've never been afraid of anything like this, so then why is my mind showing me this? or could it be..! There's no proof but I'm going to have to work harder to get there!

"nngh!" My physical body started to sweat in pain and frustration, I clenched my teeth and furrowed my eyebrows, I'm almost there! I almost reached it until I heard a sound.

"A spiritual beast!"
