Chapter 39
After dealing with the problem of the Goblin, I went back to his base to explore the place for useful things.
Unfortunately, I found nothing of interest. Even his most advanced equipment in the form of a glider and suit was far inferior to my suit. And his pumpkin-shaped grenades were useless to me. So I decided to destroy the place. But first, I started sorting through the aged alcohol.
In total, there were three cases of wine over fifty years old and a case of whiskey of similar age. Having prepared everything, I activated a timer on one of the bombs, for twenty seconds, and then grabbing the crates I quickly flew a couple of kilometers away.
- KABOOM. - There was a huge explosion in the form of a mushroom, and in all directions like shrapnel flew the remains of the house. Every house in the neighborhood belonged to wealthy people, so they were far away from each other.
Immediately the sirens of various emergency services began to sound everywhere. So without further delay, I flew home to hide the boxes in the attic ...
In the evening, Aunt May and I were talking about how she was resting, with the background noise from the TV, when suddenly the evening news came on.
It showed a funnel with numerous pieces of debris from the house. The report said that Norman Osborne had been conducting some experiments under his house, and apparently there had been a malfunction that had caused a massive explosion. The whole house was destroyed and the owner of the house was killed.
- Oh, my God, Peter. Isn't that your classmate Harry's father? - Aunt May said in shock, covering her mouth with her palm.
- Yes, that's him. - I nodded.
- Poor boy, I hope he can get over this loss quickly. - Aunt May said emotionally, and then apparently lost her temper and went up to her room.
Well, I went to rest too, because I had enough adventures on my ass for today....

The weekend flew by in a flash, and now I'm back at school.
- Hey, Peter. - I heard Gwen's voice as I walked into the school, and the next thing I knew she was hugging my arm, catching everyone's attention.

- Okay, follow me! - I broke free of their clutches and walked towards the nearest empty office.
- So, what was that just now!? - I looked at the girls, who were acting as if nothing had happened.
- Hmm, what do you think?!? We're fighting for our love! - Liz snorted, surprising me.
- Liz, I told you I needed to sort out my feelings. - I smiled wryly.
- Okay Peter, stop breaking down and acting like a girl! Which one of the two of us are you going to choose. We are tired of waiting, and we demand an answer now! - She interrupted me without listening.

- Haa, I must be the luckiest guy in the world. - I whispered contentedly, sitting down at the dinner table.
- That's right, you're damn lucky Peter. - Liz replied, sitting down at my table with Gwen.

At that moment I saw Harry Osborne, who was talking to MJ. Apparently that fool didn't take my words "stay away" seriously.
I didn't pay any more attention to her, but not a couple minutes later, her voice came from near our table.
- Hello, everyone! - She greeted our company and then sat down next to me. The tables were meant for four people, and the only free one was to the side of me.
- Hi MJ! - Liz greeted her quickly.
- Yeah, hi!" I nodded.
Of course all these greetings were just a formality, since we had already talked in class that morning.
- Peter, Liz, who's this? - Gwen asked.
- Oh yes, you haven't met. Meet Gwen, this girl's name is Mary Jane. She's a new classmate of mine and Liz's.
- M.J., this is Gwen Stacy, a close friend of mine. - I quickly introduced them to each other.

- Likewise, just call me Gwen. - Stacy nodded, and then gave me a meaningful look that I didn't understand.
- MJ, I know it's none of my business, but I thought I warned you about messing with Harry and his friends. I thought I'd remind her out of the goodness of my heart.
- Thanks, Peter, I remember. But Harry came to me. I heard that his father died a couple days ago, so he's calling all his friends to a restaurant for a wake. I didn't want to go, but I couldn't say no, especially for such an occasion.
- I understand, but you should still be careful. - I reminded her again.
