Chapter 31

- Okay, I agree. - I finally gave my "okay."

- Great, then start packing your things Mr. Parker. In the meantime, we will contact your school. Oh yes, since this project is still a secret, we'll let your school know that you're away for treatment. I hope that's not a problem? - Sarah asked.

- It's fine. - I nodded and then went to my room to pack. Aunt May turned on the computer to book tickets for the evening flight to Paris.....

Twenty minutes later, I came downstairs with a bag of personal belongings, and then after saying goodbye to my aunt, I got into the black SUV that was waiting for us, and we were on our way....

- So, what do you think of this place? - Daisy said to me as I looked at all the equipment that S.H.I.E.L.D. had given me.

- It's not bad.

- Not bad!? You've got a lot of nerve, haven't you? It's the best equipment available to our organization, and Fury's been cheap enough to give it to you, you little punk, and the only thing you say is "not bad"?!? - Daisy was literally seething with rage, but I didn't care.

- Trust me, Daisy, Nick is so sneaky, he's probably got the best stuff stashed away.

- YOU! - was all the girl said and then walked away.

Not paying attention to her actions, I collapsed on the couch and began to study the data Tony Stark, because without knowledge you can not make anything. And my body needed repair....

Stark's data contained many incredible and interesting things. There's a reason he was considered a genius. But what caught my eye the most were some of the Asgardian artifacts. First of all it was the Tesseract, an artifact that possessed boundless energy and apparently could teleport the user to far distances. According to Tony's information, Hydra had used it in World War II to create their advanced deadly weapons. As well as Thor's half-brother Loki, to open a portal over New York City and summon an alien army. Unfortunately, he was not on Earth at the moment, for he had been taken by Thor back to Asgard.

The second item, however, was Loki's scepter. It also had incredible properties. First of all, it apparently, like the Tesseract, has boundless energy, but its main features were that the scepter can be used as a weapon and shoot energy beams, as well as control the thoughts and behavior of their opponents. In addition, the scepter can be used as a means of communication over great distances.

And it seems to me that the scepter itself is just a transmitter, where the main thing is the stone embedded in it. And it was impossible to reject the fact that inside the Tesseract there could be a similar stone, and that these stones are interconnected, or there could be even more of them, each with its own peculiarity. But I shouldn't have gotten that far ahead of myself, because to understand anything about them, I'd have to twist and examine them in person, which was impossible at the moment. The first one is God knows where, and the second one is safely hidden at Shch.I.T.a....

By the time I finished studying everything I was interested in, it was already deep night outside. So I put the tablet aside and went to bed. After all, tomorrow, I would finally get my hands on the incredibly rare vibranium. And I hoped that everything would go well.....

The next morning I woke up completely healthy, which made me incredibly excited. So early in the morning I started preparing the equipment to synthesize the element created by Tony Stark that he uses in his reactor. Of course not everything was so simple, all the information was written rather abstruse, and many details did not exist at all. But after spending half a day, I was able to figure out what to do using the data I had and adding my own knowledge.

The next few hours were spent preparing all the necessary equipment, including powerful lasers for fusion, and finally the X hour came.

Having checked everything carefully several times, in case of wrong settings, because if something happened, everything here could blow to hell, I placed the special mixture on a special platform, and then wearing dark protective goggles turned on the laser, which was powered by an old reactor.

Immediately, an incredibly bright laser beam formed, hitting the element and starting its synthesis. Every second the room grew brighter and brighter, and at some point even the goggles stopped helping. But at that moment the synthesis finally ended, and I saw the birth of a new incredibly powerful element.

Grabbing it with graphene tongs, I carefully placed the element into the new reactor, which immediately gained life, which involuntarily made me smile...

I glanced at my watch and saw that it was almost nine o'clock, and I still hadn't heard from the mercenary. I was starting to feel like I'd been screwed, and I was starting to think about where I could get some vibranium. For a second I thought it would be a good idea to steal and melt down Cap's shield, but then I got a message from the mercenary with a time and place to meet, so I quickly canceled the plan to steal the shield....

Midnight, an abandoned harbor on the outskirts of New York City.

As I flew quietly toward the harbor, I saw the ship I was looking for. It was hard not to find it, though, because it was the only one on the dock.

On its deck stood six men. Five of them were armed with assault rifles, while the sixth, apparently their leader, was half reclining on a chaise lounge with a cigar in his mouth and a briefcase of what appeared to be vibranium.

I recognized the man at first sight, for he had been in the S.I.T.A. database. He was Ulysses Clo, a notorious black-market arms dealer, smuggler and bandit operating in South Africa. He's a former acquaintance of Tony Stark from his arms dealing days. To say he's a dangerous criminal is to say nothing. After all, he is one of the main who, supplies terrorists with dangerous modern weapons, because of which there are constantly armed conflicts. Therefore, I had no desire to spare him, let alone pay him money.

Quietly sneaking up to the criminals, I braided them with a web so quickly that they did not even have time to squeak and fell to the ground completely immobilized.

I began to walk slowly towards Clo, stepping on the necks of his guards along the way and breaking them, sending them straight to the other side. Ulysses Clo looked at me with a mad hatred, realizing that the same outcome awaited him. Not paying attention to his gaze, I opened the suitcase, where to my delight there was a piece of vibranium, and then happy I killed the arms dealer and quickly left the place, heading back to the lab.
