Sierra had to endure a ridiculous amount of ribbing from her family members about Nathan on Thanksgiving. It could have been worse though. Scarlett got engaged the weekend before so it was easy to switch the focus back to her. 

Ryan and Scarlett were well-matched and they had been together a long time. His joining their family was perfectly natural and everyone had expected it to happen eventually. She was happy for her sister but at the same time her insides writhed with jealousy. She wasn't sure if she would ever have that for herself with the man she loved. 

He was every bit as attentive and caring a boyfriend as he had been a friend when he wasn't trying to push her away. He was supportive, kind, patient, and a good listener.
