98 A Lot More Superpowers Than You Would Think

Nathan knew it still wasn't realistic to hope for a family. He was barely able to handle being in a relationship again and this time there was a lot more riding on it than last time. 

He never loved Brianna. He dated her because he was lonely and she liked him first. Sierra was different. He had loved her enough to let her go but she came back anyway and refused to leave. 

She seemed to think that he would get over his trauma and be able to live happily ever after with her but he didn't buy that. He wasn't even sure he would be able to handle having his powers turned off and constantly living in fear that something would happen that he should have been able to prevent. 

But as he watched Sierra interact easily with the people who had taken him in when they didn't have to and loved him like their own, he couldn't help but think that she fit into his life well. If such a thing was possible, it would only be possible with her.
