Chapter 6

I just got out of work, and I'm walking to the boutique that Lisa works at in the plaza to pick up a custom gym shirt I ordered from her. And no, I'm not gonna try and pick up girls at the gym. I started gaining a little weight (I was 200 pounds, now I'm 210) so I'm gonna try and get back into shape. I wonder how the customers are gonna look at me since the boutique is pretty obviously for women. There are a couple "unisex" items there but I've never seen a dude don that hoodie or sweatshirt yet. When I made it there, it was empty (thank God), and I paid Lisa in advance so it was a quick pick-up and dip. And then I bump into Katerina...

"HEY WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" She yelled.

"I'm quite sorry miss." I said. It came off sarcastic since I only talk that formal in certain situations. She punched me and broke my glasses.

"You know Katerina, what the hell! You've been staring at me like a hawk all day, you normally try your best NOT to look at me. What's up with you huh!?" I said completely enraged. I think I might not like her so much anymore.

She was quiet. She dropped $500 for the damages, in cash, and said "This is between us three okay!?" Lisa was scared and silent. I don't think she's ever seen that side of her cousin before. I was more surprised with her having half a grand in cash than her punching me in the face (she punched me when I asked her out a couple years ago). There was only a grand in the cash register when it was robbed. Funny how the perp didn't steal from the other now that I think about it.

"Hey Lisa, I'll take this hoodie." Katerina said casually.

"Th-that wi-will be fif-fifty bucks on the d-dot." Lisa said. I was still there just from shock. Maybe later I should tell the group about the robbery. I dipped before Katerina could spot me. I grabbed the money and started walking to the gym. Then Katerina followed me. I was wondering if she was gonna rob me and take the half a grand back. But she came up to me and kissed me and ran. That's you know what harassment (gotta keep this PG). And this is in 2050. I was just about to call 911 on her but she was already in her car and I had no video evidence whatsoever. She's been acting wayyyy too suspicious lately. Like she's been keeping her eye on me all day, she attacked me, she paid for damages IN CASH, and kissed me all in the same day. I dunno man something is up with that woman. Like she's suspicious of me. Thankfully Lisa didn't see Katerina and I kiss.

I start walking across the street, the plaza is pretty dead on Saturday before 5 pm. So it's the perfect time to get to the gym. I see a couple people in KKN950 masks, but ever since the very specific 2019-2024 virus, it's normal to see people like that from what my dad tells me. He was only 10 during that time, 4th grade must have SUCKED online.

I just arrived at the gym...
