Chapter 24

After working a long Tuesday the next day, the franchisee of my Del Burrito got a couple plane tickets to Australia from headquarters and decided to raffled them off, it's whenever possible and round-trip, this is the first time in about a month that I've seen him.

"All right I got a set of two tickets I want to raffle off to all the employees, since not all are here today, if one of them wins I will deliver it to their house personally." he said.

He got a random picker with all our names, and he showed it going random while we were staring at it to show no bias.

I won, it wasn't rigged either. I'm totally taking Freedom, she doesn't do anything until college anyway.

"Yo I won, sick!" I said.

"It's just Australia dude, it's like 100 dollars round-trip, just a nifty little bonus." the franchisee said.

"Free tickets are free tickets, I've only been out of the state like twice."

"Dang. To where?"

"Birmingham, Alabama."

"I see, well enjoy? You gonna use your last week of vacation time already?"

"I'm gonna plan it with my girlfriend."

"Oh okay."

I drive home to work which takes about 5 minutes as usual.

When I get home I video call Freedom.

"Hey guess what? I got 2 round-trip tickets to Australia from the franchisee, he raffled them off."

"Yo no way. Who you gonna take?"

"You of course! If you want."

"I've always wanted to wrestle a crocodile. Sure but when?"

"Any time until a week before your classes start. It's only for a week."

"Y'all planning on sleeping together?!" Mr. Nqaxombo asked pissed.

"No, why would we? I'm not trying to ruin her college life. It's a for fun trip. Though if we have to share a room, that might be a different story since we are going into Melbourne and the hotels there are kinda expensive." I reply.

"If she's pregnant when y'all get back I'll end you myself."

"I can confirm you probably would."

"Okay Freedom you can go but if you get pregnant I'm killing your boyfriend."

"That's fine we ain't gon be doin anything anyway." she replied

"Have fun and be safe in more ways than one."

"We will." I assured him.

For the next month we prepare, we hang with our friends, Lisa and I went to watch the Hacker Queen movie (Dvonte rage quit the ending he was so pissed XD and y'know how Freedom ain't too fond of anime).

Freedom and I did other stuff over the summer.

Dvonte's scholarship became a full ride cuz football needed a wide receiver. Kaido's basketball scholarship ain't a full ride but mostly a long ride.

We had fun.

I also had to work a lot, being a manager is interesting to say the least. It got easier with time though.

After that month Freedom and I got ready for our trip to Australia...
