I'm Just An Ambiverted Dude

In 2050. A dude kinda just exists and interacts with his friends, family, teachers, coworkers, and other random people. In all, 18 year old Denshi Aoyama lives in a future in which Japan has been a part of the USA for 20 years where they mostly speak English and guns are legal. He works at a Del Burrito and looking for love. Enjoy? And for those that aren't gonna read this because it doesn't have many chapters. I'll try to post a chapter daily. At the very least 4 chapters a week unless circumstances don't allow. AND IF YOU ENJOY PLEASE COMMENT.... Even if you don't.

Chapter 11

My dad didn't come home that night, he stayed at a friend's. He told me because it was late. I don't blame him, 12 hours of construction would exhaust anyone.

I went to sleep...

The next morning I walked to school. I still haven't gotten a glasses replacement, so the whole world is in 480p like yesterday. Life in this resolution is just as bad as me sitting scared on the toilet yesterday. I need to get my mind off the gunshot, it could have just been a firework for all I know. I decided that my best bet was to call Freedom.

"Hello? Who is this?" she asked.

"It's me, Denshi."

"Heyyy! Where dya wanna meet up?"

"Where's your first period?" I asked her.

"I have Japanese first period with Mrs. Iwamura."

"Wait, when's your first period? Mine is at 8." I asked her.

"Okay same." she replied. Thankfully first period for her is the same for me. We both wake up early

"There's a coffee shop on the way. Do you want me to pick up anything for you? I'm about to get a pick me up." I asked.

"Iced Americano, I guess." she said.

"Aight, see ya in about 10 minutes." I said.

"Kay. See ya at school.~" she replied.

I go to buy my quadruple shot espresso on ice and her iced americano. Her's was the exact amount that she tipped me yesterday, a buck XD.

School was about 5 minutes away from the coffee shop. I made it there and got to the Japanese building where I saw Freedom.

"Thank you so much." she said when I gave her her coffee.

We chatted for a bit about random crap for a while. I asked her if she would be at the gym today and she said yeah. Monday is my off day so this is either a score, or a foul.

We say bye to each other and I run into Lisa.

"Bro is that who you've been thinking about? She's pretty." Lisa said.

"Yeah. I like her but I ain't falling hard yet. How's it going with you and Dvonte? Are y'all official?" I asked her.

"We're giving it another week."

"Girl y'all gotta go head first."

"I know dude. It's just I want to be sure."

"How hard did you fall?" I asked her

"Really hard."

"He told me he fell so hard for you he should be in the ER so jump head first into the deep end."

"Man this is the third deep conversation we've had within the past three days."

"That's what friends are for."

"Indeed."

Lisa doesn't have class til third but she does some other things before class. I still find it weird that she's always at school 2 hours early.

I head to my Economics class. This class is fun cuz it's like 50% crypto or stock lectures and anouncements.

Mr. Kashiwagi is very funny as well, so the class isn't very boring.

"Hey class, guess what, I lost 1000 dollars in Bytecoin. So to ease my stress, it's a free period so I can cry."

"Dang bro, that is cry worthy." Joshua said.

"Don't add more wood to the fire, or I'll make the whole class write a 5 page essay on the pros and cons of crypto."

"JOSH!" The whole class yelled at him.

We chilled the whole period thankfully. Ryo is in this class too. He kept making suspicious glances at me. Who knows why? I don't wanna think about it right now, especially on my day off.

I go to my next class and it's just Japanese. Sadly, my Japanese teacher is Mr. Iwamura, Mrs. Iwamura's son. I hear she's nice, her son definitely isn't.

I deal with that jerk's class for an hour. Then go to calculus, and then English. I decide to go to the gym to work out. I don't text Freedom because for all I know, she could be one of those kids with 6 classes.

When I leave to go to the gym though...
