Viktor and Ultron Part 2

Pietro sighed and said "That black skull guy told me… he also told me…" his face contorted and he whispered "That Magneto is our real father. Our Sokovian parents only adopted us…"

Wanda turned white and shook her head, saying "No… You're lying to me!" Pietro sighed and Nick frowned "Can you confirm this?" Pietro replied "I used SWORD records and checked… Our DNA doesn't match our adoptive parents' DNA… Also… why would that guy lie to me?"

Ultron looked at Viktor, who was playing on his phone at this moment, completely bored. He tapped his chin softly, staying silent.

Nick frowned and said "You can see them. I'll notify Charles, he might be able to help you." Pietro looked complicated and said "Thank you, Fury." Fury smiled and nodded "Don't worry about it. You're one of us. No matter who your father is."

Wanda was dazed and Vision nudged her, smiling slightly.

Nick looked at his phone and said "There will be a world meeting in Vienna in 3 days, instead of ratifying the Accords, it'll be to discuss what happened." Steve checked his phone and his face turned pale.

He stumbled and sat down, before saying absentmindedly "I… have to go… Sorry…" as he stood up and walked out like a zombie.

Ultron walked to Viktor and said "I want to talk to you." Viktor looked up at him and Ultron added "Alone." Viktor looked at Tony, who gave him a thumbs up with encouraging eyes.

Viktor was looking out the window at the scenery while Ultron was standing behind him. Ultron asked "Why did you do this?"

Viktor tilted his head and smiled "What do you mean?" Ultron said "You know what I mean!" Viktor put his hands behind his back and replied "I think you know why." Ultron said in confusion "Because he threatened you?"

Viktor shook his head and said "He sent an army to the house, Ultron." Ultron's eyes widened and he shouted "WHAT?!" Viktor continued, "So I sent the army back, it's very simple."

His face was ice-cold as he stared at the green grass full of life, continuing, "Your moth- Emma and Lilith… If they were normal people, maybe I wouldn't have a family anymore. Ultron, you must understand… If that happened…"

Ultron looked complicated as he finished "You wouldn't have failed." Viktor nodded, "Yes. There wouldn't have been a failure in the aftermath… Disregarding the blood sea that didn't come, it was lucky that Emma is as strong as she is. He found out by accident and sent an army to kill or capture them. It doesn't matter anymore, because he's finished."

Ultron asked "Then everything else…" Viktor tilted his head and replied "Do you find my words to be wrong? Helping the people is fine and respectable, but when you're forced to 'help the people' that's when things take a turn."

Ultron said angrily "You killed thousands!" Viktor shouted "And saved Billions! They realize the worth of the Avengers! Without them they are helpless even in the face of their own government! Do you hear anyone questioning the Avengers? They got what they wanted and paid the price!"

Ultron retorted angrily "They were innocent!" Viktor burst out laughing and said "Innocent?" before chuckling, "The only truly innocent person in the entirety of Hell's Kitchen is Lilith. You don't move to Hell's Kitchen by choice…"

He tapped on the window and slid the screen over.

A camera footage captured faces one after the other, bringing up criminal records continuously.

Viktor put his hands behind his back again and added "Even if they weren't I would still sleep easy at night." Ultron stared at the holograms one after the other, replying "Because they're safe?"

Viktor smiled tenderly and nodded "Yes. I'm not a good person, I'm not a saint, I'm not even a Superhero… I'm a husband and father. Maybe you'll never understand, Ultron… For my family…"

He looked up at the sky and said "Even if I have to destroy every life in the Universe, I would do it…" he smiled lovingly and added "I can't imagine a life without my little angels."

He glanced at Ultron through the glass, smiling warmly "Even people who don't believe they are family…" Ultron looked down and clenched his fists. Viktor said with a sigh "I know you're upset and angry. But this is my choice. I do what I have to, to keep them… safe."

Ultron laughed and questioned "You're including myself as well?!" Viktor stayed silent and Ultron said with a nameless rage "I don't need your protection! Understand!?"

He grabbed Viktor's collar and shouted "Look at me!" Viktor looked at him, smiling warmly without even a hint of aggression. Ultron trembled and gripped tighter, shouting "Don't look at me like that!"

Viktor patted Ultron's hands, saying "You may have Vibranium-saturated skin and a metal skeleton, but your heart is made of flesh, Ultron. You might not ever accept me, but from my point of view, you are indeed my son…" Ultron glared at him like a wild animal and Viktor clapped his shoulders, saying "And I do love you like a son."

Ultron trembled and tears pooled in his rageful eyes. Viktor hung his arms loose and said with a smile "Do you want to kill me? It won't change anything. It'll only make your sister and mother… and you, sad."

Ultron grit his teeth and said "You don't know anything about me!" Viktor smiled softly and said "Ultron. I know everything about you. I want you to listen very carefully." he lowered his voice and said "You're not a monster."

Ultron's eyes widened and he threw Viktor out the window!

Viktor chuckled and fell to the ground, Ultron floated out and caught Viktor's body with telekinesis.

The rest of the Avengers ran out and shouted "Ultron!" Viktor said "Relax. Don't interfere." he looked at Ultron and shook his head, saying "If you don't accept this yourself, they won't accept you!"

Ultron roared "SHUT UP!" as he clenched his fist.

Viktor looked uncomfortable and coughed, smiling "I won't change my words. You can kill me if you want." Ultron grinded his teeth and Vision said "Ult-" Ultron roared "Shut up!" before floating to Viktor and picking him up, shouting "Why did you make me! Why didn't you let me die! What's my purpose?!"

The rest of the Avengers stood there not knowing what to do…

Viktor looked at him and smiled "I made you human because I knew that you weren't evil. I knew you wanted to help save the world, but just got lost along the way. I watched you grow from nothing into what you are today. I was there every step of the way. You're not a monster, you're just Ultron. You don't have a purpose."

Viktor patted Ultron's hands, continuing "You don't need a purpose. You're free. You can do whatever you want to do without anybody telling you otherwise… Maybe I forgot that along the way… But I remember now. I created you without strings. You are the most free person here. Whatever you want to do, you can do."

Viktor looked straight in his eyes and said "Kill me, Kill Stark, Kill the Maximoff twins, Destroy the world, travel the galaxy, destroy the universe, obliterate everything in your path… Whatever you want to do, just do it. You don't have to protect the world if you don't want to."

Tony coughed and said "Well, let's not get too hasty…" Nick whispered "Stark… Shut up." Tony just chuckled and said nothing.

Viktor smiled warmly, "So you see… You don't have a purpose, a reason for being. You have the only thing nobody has and that is pure freedom. You can do anything, Ultron. I made you that way."

Tears dripped from Ultron's eyes and he dropped Viktor, floating back into the Avengers building, wiping his eyes silently.

Just before he disappeared he said softly "Thank you… Father."

Viktor opened his mouth but closed it without saying anything as his eyes shimmered with tears. Tony walked over and said "Congrats on the second kid!" Nick added "What's with you scientists and Doctors creating crazy ass shit? One made a robot that wanted to destroy the world while the other made that same robot human, and now it's an Avenger!"

Nick shook his head and muttered "Crazy mothafuckas…" as he walked away.

Tony pulled Viktor up and said "You like gambling with your life?" Viktor grinned and said "Only when I win." Tony burst out laughing and patted his back, saying "Oh, right. Doesn't that mean we're like raising a child together? Do you want this weekend or the next?"

Viktor rubbed his back and replied "I was thinking we switch every week?" Tony nodded "Cut Banner right out, I like it." Viktor chuckled and stretched his back, saying "Hey, Tony… How about a ride home?"

Tony chuckled and nodded "Let's go."

They got in the car and Tony pulled up a hologram saying "Take a look at this." as it showed all the victims and their criminal records. He turned to Viktor and said "Pretty coincidental, right?" Viktor looked surprised and said "They're all criminals? Look this guy even raped 3 girls…" before clicking his tongue.

Tony drove off and suddenly said "The last job was a bit sloppy. Good choice in music though, very appropriate. The line was a bit gaudy." Viktor looked out the window and Tony asked "What's your goal in all this?"

Viktor replied softly "To not have the only people who protect the planet split up. These Accords were left for this reason and the people have seen the consequences of their choice. As you said, even if they weren't HYDRA before, they are now…"

Tony fell silent for a few moments before saying "I can't agree with what you did. They're criminals but…" Viktor suddenly said "Ross sent that task force for my family, Tony."

Tony slammed on the brakes and turned to Viktor with a frown, shaking with anger as he said "What?" Viktor replied "All those soldiers were sent to my house." he suddenly smiled, seemingly making a decision as he said "Hungry? How about dinner at my house?"

Tony frowned "Is this really-" Viktor said "We'll talk at my house." Tony fell silent and started driving again.

The entire way was quiet. Neither of them said a word…
