52 Viktor's Actual Thoughts

Viktor spent most of the day treating the wounded around the city. He even went deeper and performed some amputations. There was no way. Some people were missing parts of their legs and they either couldn't find them or the missing part was meat sauce on the ground.

Viktor truly saw the chaos that they don't show in the movies. There are a lot of casualties and deaths, some people's lives change forever because of the trauma and injuries!

But Viktor didn't change his mind on superheroes.

First of all, be happy you're even alive!

If there was no Avengers the entire world would be enslaved, right? Not to mention, at the very least, there would be no more New York! To these bunch of ungrateful people who yell at superheroes for not doing a good enough job, Viktor can only say 'I hope you die next time'

It was honestly ridiculous.

As Viktor was treating people a news crew came to him and said "Angel! Angel Doctor!" Viktor smiled without turning his head as he said "If you're injured, unless you're dying or in critical condition, please wait a moment. I'm trying my best."

He looked at the person on the ground and stitched the wound, wiping with an alcohol cloth as he said "Rest easy for 2-3 weeks you'll be back on your feet in no time." The woman smiled and said timidly "Thank you, Doctor."

Viktor nodded and turned around, wiping the blood from his hands as he asked "Can I help you folks?"

The woman looked embarrassed now, what was she supposed to say?

Hey, can you stop saving people and give us an interview?

Viktor seemed to notice and curled his fingers saying "I can multitask." as he said "Any critical conditions?" a person carried a child quickly and Viktor laid the child on the hood of a car, taking out his tools.

There was no risk of infection, but it didn't seem that way. The only reason why there wasn't was because of the fruit but Viktor still rubbed the scalpel with an alcohol swab. He said gently, "You can ask away, pretty lady."

Everyone around the world was watching this live…

Emma looked at the TV and glared angrily. Christian and Cordelia froze and chuckled in fear…

Christine Palmer watched in the hospital and shouted "Let's get out there! A single surgeon isn't enough! HURRY UP!"

The reporter asked "You're on the battlefield, can you tell us for how long?" Viktor replied to her simply, "Must've been 5-6 hours? Ambulances are having a tough time getting through the debris."

Viktor frowned as he treated the boy, stitching up the incision and sending him to the person who brought him, walking to another person.

The reporter asked "What do you think about all this?" Viktor laughed "About what? Aliens or injured people." the reporter answered "Both." Viktor checked the next person and asked "Does it hurt here? No? Good…" before answering "Well, Aliens… I mean, I thought they were skinny, gray, with huge heads. Some of these ones had four arms, can you imagine? How many more people could you save with 4 arms? That's, like, half the effort double the result, right?"

People watching laughed and were appreciative of this guy's joking mood.

It made everything seem a little less dire…

Viktor looked at the injured and sighed "As for these people… I think they are very, very lucky." The reporter was stunned and asked "Lucky? They-" Viktor smiled at her and asked "Injured from an attack, right? They should be unlucky then?"

She nodded and Viktor turned back and asked "I assume you're going to ask me 'Do you think the superheroes are accountable and should do better?' right?"

The woman was speechless.

Is this my interview or are you interviewing yourself?

She still nodded and said "We'd like to hear your thoughts." Viktor patched the man up and said "Honestly, these people are very lucky to even be alive. I've seen a lot more dead people than you probably know. In a place like this… It's a blessing to not die. Sure, you may be crippled. Lose an arm. Injured severely, but time will heal your wounds."

He continued treating people and continued "Whoever questions the superheroes for today's event or blames them… Sorry, in my personal opinion, they are retarded. Maybe go see a doctor."

Everyone watching froze, completely dumbfounded.

The superheroes were eating Shawarma and watching the live broadcast and they were dumbfounded too.

Viktor continued coldly "I would like to ask you, if there's no Avengers today, do you think I would even be here?"

The reporter was confused and asked "What do you mean?" Viktor laughed and replied "I wouldn't even show up because there wouldn't be a reason. No heroes, no survivors! All these injured people you see here, the Avengers saved them. Are you so naive to think that aliens will invade and sing kumbaya with us all?"

He shook his head and snapped an arm back into place, continuing "As a Doctor, I shouldn't say this, but as a person… There will always be sacrifices. Trust me, if they could save everyone, they would. Do you think I've saved everyone I've ever treated? If someone has terminal cancer are you going to blame me for not treating them?"

He took out Kikoku and laid a person with a meat sauce leg on the hood of a car before amputating the foot from the calf down.

He held the wound and treated it as he added "Be thankful you're alive…" before chuckling "Not to mention if there were no Avengers, maybe the world would be under a different rule at this moment. I can guarantee you if Iron Man didn't exist, there wouldn't even be a New York right now."

The reporter retched at the sight of the amputation, but stomached it for her career, asking "What do you mean?" Viktor looked up at the sky and sighed "I'm around 80% sure a Nuke was sent to the city to obliterate the aliens along with everyone else. I saw Iron Man send it into that giant portal before it exploded!"

Then he snorted "The Avengers need to answer for the damage to the city… What a joke. There wouldn't even be a city if not for them. Alright, I'm done. Please leave."

The reporter, the injured people, and everyone watching were absolutely dumbfounded by this revelation.

What in the fuck?!

You Nuked New York!?

The reporter felt that her career was about to fly as she ran away quickly, going to interview injured people after throwing up by the side.

As Viktor continued treating people, a little girl with one arm, held Viktor's pant leg and asked "Mr. Doctor, did Iron Man save us all?" Viktor looked at her and smiled, rubbing her head as he replied "Would you like to be like Iron Man, little one?"

The girl's little eyes sparkled and she nodded "I want to be a hero too!" Viktor picked her up and put her on his shoulders as he asked "Where are your parents, little hero?" The girl bit her finger and said "I don't know. I can't find them."

Viktor sighed and said "Do you want to stay with me until we find them?" The little girl nodded after some hesitation. Viktor pinched her little calves lightly before going back to work as the little girl held onto Viktor's head with one hand, the other arm was only a nub wrapped in bandages.

A bit later

Tony fell from the sky and landed next to him, while the rest of the Avengers came to the scene and started helping people as best as they could.

Tony waved at people and said "Amazing publicity stunt, Vik." Viktor laughed and said "It's the truth. I saw it with my own eyes… I don't think a normal rocket can be so bright, right?"

Tony stayed silent with a dark face.

This was a retarded call from the higher ups!

What were they thinking!?
