Protecting my Meat

I break the shafts of the arrows, making sure to keep the arrowheads in and release a torrent of wind mana.

The blast of wind lets out a faint howling sound as it flies across the battlefield, deflecting the next wave of arrows, and the surprised gangsters cry out in fear at my magic but remain in close formation, still willing to fight, "Its Zorro! We must stay strong! The goron leader yells to his men.

I'm angry.

Very Angry.

One of those arrows hit dangerously close to my 'Master Sword'

The Goron leader swings his massive spiked chain at me, which cracks in the air like a whip. I vault over the deadly ball of metal and grasp the chain, pushing deadly electrical energy into the metal.

The purple lightning travels along the chain, straight into the Goron leader, who is forced to drop his weapon.

With that taken care of, I can finish off the melee fighters.

I draw Samantha and execute a sweeping, overhead slash in a move inspired by Iaido, an east asian martial art style that is closer to art than actual functionality.

When you add a bit of magic, however, this technique because frighteningly beautiful and effective.

A roaring tide rips out of my sheath, and in a flash of rolling, mana-made water, the five melee fighters seem to pause for a few seconds before their heads slide off of their bodies.

Now all that is left are the archers and goron leader, who start frantically retreating.

An Electric Grasp leaps from my hand, chasing after the group of archers. The attack lands, jumping from bowman to bowman, leaving only pained cries and blackened flesh in its wake.

The Goron Leader uses this time to escape, and I dash after him. I am quickly gaining, but he made his way around a bend, disappearing from sight behind a building.

When I round the corner of the building I hear an audible crack and see a massive bolt flying towards me.

By the time I activate stasis, the massive arrow is only inches away from my face.

I see that the gangsters have somehow set up a foldable ballista that they were bringing to assault the embassy, and the Goron has led me into a trap.

Two bullets end the lives of the people trying to reload the ballista, and without his chain, the Goron is defenseless.

I sink The Throngler into my opponent's torso and send him spasming to the ground with a bit of electricity.

"Who are you," I say, electrocuting the Goron with every word.

"I'm a member of the Syndicate! Let me go or you will be hunted to your death!"

"The fuck is the Syndicate?"

"The crystal syndicate, everyone in the second ring knows about us and that they shouldn't FUCK WITH US," The goron growls.

"I really don't care. Why did you do this?"

When the Goron doesn't respond, I send more electricity into his body and he grits out, "Lady Isha, a powerful jewelry merchant, she and a few others control the Crystal Syndicate. She even has connections with The Clan, so if you don't want Yiga assassins after you, LET ME GO."

I knock him unconscious for more interrogation later, but I got the main information: a merchant named Isha is shady asf and probably wants my company and its secrets.

I didn't really consider the problem of defending my company, I guess I overestimated law enforcement in the second ring.

That group was well-trained and armored, so the whole Syndicate thing is definitely a major force, and I won't always be around to defend the embassy.

The solution to my problem is simple: I will start my own criminal organization!

First things first, I open the doors to hq and tell my people it's safe and that they need to do some cleanup outside before business tomorrow.

When they realize what this means and see the blood covering my body, they are shocked.

I act like the mysterious edge lord I am and run off to my lab before they can ask any questions.

After treating my wounds and getting a full night's sleep, I begin crafting, but now, instead of making just weapons for myself, I begin mass production of weaponry for my future shadow assassin stabby death gang.

I start making molds for pistol parts, molding the metal with my fire-resistant hands. I also play around with different metal compositions and eventually settle on a carbon steel composite for the guns.

These weapons will be four-shooters and small enough to be smuggled into any building. They aren't meant to be the main weapon of my fighters, just a sidearm.

The bullets are what I put the most work into, spending days perfecting the design because they feature something I've never done before- stored mana.

I have found that monster parts have the unique ability to store and absorb mana: this is why my Aqua Slashes with Samantha are so much more effective than those with an iron saber.

My first(Successful) batch of mass-produced bullets is all made of red bokoblin parts, but I made a special batch of blue bokoblin bullets for my personal use.

For other side weapons for my gang, I make a bunch of Saxe knives, a Scandinavian-style blade that is very sturdy, some smoke bombs, lockpicks, and some poison (For fun)

I bought some basic black clothes for the uniform of my future gang members, but their main clothing item will be one of the most drippy medieval items: Cloaks!

These cloaks got everything: Painted Green Lizalthos scales that protect against rain and basic elemental attacks, tons of pockets, built-in masks, and a self-destruct mechanism loaded with bokobin-gunpowder!

The last thing I make is a batch of lever action rifles, which will be the main weapon of my gang members.

They are pretty basic rifles but are highly customizable; in the future, silencers, scopes, and even grenade launchers are all possible attachments for these weapons.

All this crafting comes at an enormous cost: nearly a thousand rupees, and it is clear that Sinclair Trading will need to expand much more in order to keep up with my crafting and criminal organizations' financial needs.

Now that the mass-produced items are done, I can move on to personal projects, starting with The Throngler 2.0!

If I don't upload tomorrow, I have been killed.
