78 Chapter 78: Father vs son (2)

Vegeta was at the top of a hill observing the landscape with a frown, he had been resurrected after almost twenty years.

He was aware of everything, Kakarot trained hard while he was in hell, that low class bastard surpassed him again.

At this point he was stuck, he didn't know how to increase his power or how to reach that legendary Super Saiyan state he longed for.

'And to top it off some damn kid finished off those androids' Vegeta thought, clenching his fists until he felt a great energy in the distance.

Not even half a second passed and the prince took flight. "No doubt, that's Kakarot! The other one must be the brat" Vegeta said with a grimace.

What the hell were they fighting for? In any case, his answer came a few minutes later when he arrived at the scene of that battle.

'Hpmf, they're Super Saiyans.' Vegeta gritted his teeth as father and son looked at each other with beaming smiles.

"Whenever you want Gohan" Goku said smiling, he was very eager to see the maximum power of his son, the one who defeated those androids.

Gohan nodded and his facial expression turned much more serious before he ejected more Ki and flew towards his father at high speed.

The boy reached out with his arm to attack Goku, who blocked the attack with his forearm. The floor below them cracked, creating a crater.

Seeing that his punch was unsuccessful, Gohan raised his leg to strike his father's side, and Goku stopped him again with his forearm.

"You must change your strategy or you won't win!" Goku exclaimed smiling and the little boy frowned, since he was really right.

"Ugh!" Gohan spat out as he felt his father's knee on his abdomen. Goku clasped both hands together and prepared to swing the ax at him.

Gohan was agile enough to evade that attack and rose into the air recovering air. Goku smirked and prepared to counterattack.

Vegeta snorted, this technique was useless because of the charge time. 'Hpmf, if it was a real fight the adversary would have attacked him long ago'

"Special Beam Cannon!" Gohan yelled throwing that beam of energy towards Goku, who expelled more of his Super Saiyan aura increasing his power.

The Special Beam Cannon flew at high speed towards where Goku was, who was filled with energy because it was not a technique that he should underestimate.

"Haaa!!" the man yelled in turn, deflecting the lightning towards the sky with his right arm but he got an even bigger surprise, "H-how?"

Gohan had appeared in front of him and had a large white orb of black lightning floating in his right hand, "Hello dad, surprised?!"

The boy was going to launch the point-blank attack but suddenly Goku's body began to disappear... as if it were a hologram.

"Hey?" Gohan was surprised by that as he dispelled his attack, but moments later he felt the enormous Ki of his father behind him.

His hair lengthened to his waist, his eyebrows disappeared, and his face took on a more serious air. Also, his clothes were shining.

"This is Super Saiyan 3, are you satisfied now Gohan?" Goku asked with a slight smile and his son nodded smiling.

'He's more impressive than I imagined!' Gohan screamed on the inside, and the amount of Ki he was giving off was just unreal. It was impossible.

"I-Is that Goku?" Chi-Chi blinked in disbelief at her husband's hairstyle and Future Gohan nodded with a smile.

"We are about to witness a tremendous combat" declared Tien, looking astonished at the two opponents. The fight would be legendary.

Vegeta was like a mad dog, how come Super Saiyan three? What the hell did all this mean? He was weak compared to both of them!

"Okay, let the battle begin" Gohan pointed out clenching his knuckles and raised his arm opening his palm, "Haaaaaaaa!"

A blast pushed Goku back but it wasn't enough to knock him off his feet. Gohan took advantage of this moment to fly towards him quickly.

Goku didn't do as much, he expelled his aura creating lightning bolts around him and Gohan recoiled from the magnitude of the energy released by his father.

This time it was Goku who flew at the boy and punched him in the cheek followed by a kick to the belly that sent him flying.

Gohan didn't see any of the attacks coming, that speed was on a totally different level than his. And then Goku appeared behind him.

"ARGH!" Gohan screamed in pain as he took an ax blow to the back that sent him to the ground, courtesy of his father.

Just a few feet from crashing, Gohan came to his feet with a stomp. But Goku didn't let him breathe, as he flew to finish him off at once.

"Ultra Kaio-ken!" Gohan yelled combining the Kaio-ken with the Ascended Super Saiyan, giving a multiplier of 150 to the base power.

Goku was stunned to see what Gohan had done, who took the opportunity to kick him in the chin, since he was distracted!

Goku went flying through the air and Gohan concentrated all of his energy into the palm of his hands forming a sphere, "Kameee..."

But nevertheless, Goku recovered early and seeing what was coming, he began to prepare his own energy attack as well.

"Hame..."

"Looks like this will be their last attack" Piccolo said looking at the battle. It seemed that both Goku and Gohan would go all in right away.

Both launched their attack producing a huge clash of energies that lit up the sky due to the amount of lights that overflowed.

That made him realize that he was still weak and had a long way to go. So he gave up and lost the fight with his head held high.
