76 Chapter 76: Reunion

Future Gohan separated from Trunks and patted his head, he was quite happy.

"You have become very strong Trunks, I'm very proud of you" said the man with a happy smile. "And I see you defeated the androids"

"Actually the one who defeated them was Gohan from the past" Trunks pointed at Gohan, who took a few steps forward, "Gohan, this is... your future self"

Future Gohan blinked his eyes in curiosity and disbelief, how did the younger version of him defeat the androids?

He couldn't stand against them, he was easily beaten by 17 and 18. The fact that little Gohan had managed it was something unthinkable.

"You... how can it be?" asked the man blinking his eyes at him, "If you're me from before, you're not supposed to be that powerful"

"But I am, it's all because I've trained" Gohan answered smiling, "In my time, mom allowed me to train without pressure to study"

"That's right, I was surprised to hear it too but Gohan's strength is incomparable to be honest" Trunks commented smiling.

Piccolo turned in surprise. For some reason he felt that this child emanated great power, he was too extraordinary to be true.

'Would this have happened if Gohan had trained properly? It's unheard of' asked Piccolo, somewhat happy about that.

The rest were also stunned. Vegeta listened with his arms crossed and a grimace, a child defeated the androids?

'Hpmf, it's impossible that a simple insect could have defeated them, and even more so if he is Kakarot's son' Vegeta inquired looking at the boy.

"Really?" Future Gohan felt weird about that. However, he smiled and crouched down next to him, "Well. Anyway, I'm grateful to you."

"You did what I never could, and that is to defeat the androids. Thanks to you this world is safe and we have been revived" said the elder Gohan.

"It was nothing, since I found out what happened at this time I did my best to help as much as I could" Gohan answered calmly.

Then, he extended his hand to Future Gohan, who reciprocated with a smile. "I'd like to know how strong you really are"

"First let's go see dad" Gohan said placing two fingers on his forehead. That posture was familiar to all of them, "What's wrong?"

"Y-you... do you know how to use the Instant Transmission technique?" Piccolo asked and was more surprised when Gohan nodded.

"In my time I was the one who traveled to Yadrat, there I learned many techniques" he answered with a smile and the future Gohan scratched his cheek.

"This is amazing, I never would have thought it would be so different. Although technically you're not me" the man spoke with a nervous smile.

They all burst out laughing at this, but Vegeta didn't join in the laughter. He approached Gohan trying to lunge at him. "Hey bug!"

"Huh?" Gohan looked up and looked at him.

"It's impossible that you have finished off the androids! You're just a simple brat" Vegeta snapped showing his enormous disbelief.

"But...father" Trunks tried to speak to him.

"Shut up! You ran like a coward looking for help instead of facing that junk, you're a disgrace to the Saiyans" Vegeta spoke.

Trunks looked down very hurt by those words, and seeing that Bulma prepared to lecture Vegeta. Gohan beat him to it.

"How dare you say that? Trunks was the only one left standing to fight while you guys were dead, and he never gave up!"

"You should be grateful to him, because if Trunks hadn't traveled to the past you wouldn't be alive right now" Gohan reproached him.

The Saiyan looked at him clenching his teeth in annoyance. However, he did not say more and took flight quickly away from that place.

"That Vegeta, as soon as he sees him he's going to find out!" Bulma exclaimed stomping the ground in anger and Trunks sighed, was his father that proud?

"Vegeta is stunned, but it's better to leave him alone" Gohan said looking at the sky, "Okay, now let's form a circle to leave this place"

They all obeyed. After forming the circle holding hands, much to Piccolo's annoyance, Gohan used teleportation.

In an instant they appeared in a vast meadow. Future Gohan opened his eyes recognizing the place where they were. His home, Mont Paozu.

"At last guys came!"

After hearing that voice they turned their heads. And there was a man with an orange gi and a hairstyle as peculiar as it was strange, he was none other than Goku!

"Dad!" Future Gohan was the first to run towards him and hugged him excitedly. Goku reciprocated that gesture with a smile.

"Finally everything is back to normal" Goku said smiling and realized one thing, "Hey, why is there a smaller Gohan in this place?"

"He is your son from another time" Piccolo replied.

"From another time? I don't think I understood anything" added the man scratching the back of his neck with a smile, and everyone laughed at the comment.

Hearing laughter outside his house, Chi-Chi peeked out. Her eyes nearly popped out of her sockets at the sight of her husband and her son who had passed away before.

"Goku! Gohan!" exclaimed the woman running towards them with tears in her eyes and jumped into her husband's arms until she threw him to the floor.

"Hahaha Chi-Chi you tickle me! I'm happy to see you too" Goku spoke with a smile and Chi-Chi took refuge in her arms whimpering.

"Y-you don't know how much I missed you, every night I watched for you to come back with me" Chi-Chi said between tears, "And now you come back..."

After almost twenty years without seeing him, it was an impossible task to describe the happiness she felt right now. Her Goku had returned.

"Yes, now everything will be as before" Goku declared with a smile and stood up. He took her wife's hand helping her up as well.

Once on her feet, Chi-Chi ran to her son and hugged him tightly. Future Gohan did the same, letting out a few tears.

Before his death, she didn't spend as much time at home. He dedicated himself to training day after day in order to beat the androids, which he never did.

His mother spent sleepless nights because of him, and he really didn't want to imagine the pain she must have felt when she found out about his death years ago.

"I'm sorry mom, I wasn't with you when you needed me the most... could you forgive me?" Future Gohan asked closing his eyes.

"Yeah... son... I'm sorry I pushed you so hard when you were little, if-if I hadn't..." Chi-Chi looked at Gohan, "Today everything would be different."

"Don't apologize mom, now everything is back to the way it was before" answered Gohan from the future separating, "And besides, I don't notice you different"

"That's right, you even look younger than I remember" Goku said scratching the back of his neck and everyone laughed, "So you're another Gohan...huh?"

"That's right dad, I come from the past"

"And he was the one who defeated the androids! I'm intrigued to know how strong he is" Future Gohan said smiling and Goku blinked in disbelief.

"Ah, yes? Oh... I can feel that you have a great power Gohan, now I also feel excited to see your true power"

Gohan nodded smiling as he wanted to see how strong his father was at this point. it would also serve to check his current powers.

"But first, let's go eat!" Goku added with a smile and they all fell on their backs. There were things that would never change.
