72 Chapter 72: Androids (3)

The three androids took to the sky, and both Gohan and Trunks followed to stand before them. They had walked out of the lab.

Trunks was confused, he had never thought that apart from 17 and 18 there would be more androids. But yet, they didn't look as strong.

"Trunks, don't let your guard down" Gohan pointed out, as if he had read his thoughts, and the young man nodded, "What did Gero make you for?!"

He wanted to know what they were doing here, since he didn't remember that they had appeared in Trunks' future, was it due to a butterfly effect?

Android 13 smiled as his eyes scanned Gohan. "We were created a while ago by Dr. Maki Gero's supercomputer"

"Androids 17 and 18 were made to kill Goku. We were given the mission to protect the last android from doctor Gero"

"T-the l-last android? Wh-what do you mean by that?" Trunks asked terrified by those words. He sensed that he was someone hideous.

"The ultimate creature, Cell" replied 13, "When you entered the lab, the doctor's supercomputer warned us"

'If that's true, then they didn't appear in the series because in Trunks' future no one entered Gero's lab' Gohan inquired seriously.

"And that's why I won't allow you to interfere with Cell's development, just when he's about to hatch" 13 spoke, frowning.

"I won't let that Cell guy wake up! I'm sick of you androids, let me live in peace!" Trunks shouted full of anger towards the androids.

He was already tired of the evil beings. And now that the world was at peace, he would never allow any monster to interrupt it.

"Wait Trunks!" Gohan exclaimed as the boy unsheathed his sword and flew towards android 13 who crossed his arms, "Damn"

Trunks raised his sword to slash at 13. But suddenly Android 14 got in the way and stopped Trunks' attack with two fingers.

"H-how?" Trunks muttered in surprise before receiving a fist from android 15 in his abdomen causing him to shed some blood.

14 put both hands together and gave him a powerful ax blow to the head sending him into a mountain. And then he returned his sword.

Gohan stared at this through clenched teeth, and then turned to look at android 13, who had installed a look filled with derision.

"The supercomputer hasn't given me amazing data about you, do you really want to fight me?" asked 13 with a smile.

"Let me bring you up to date, I have killed androids 17 and 18" Gohan spoke smiling and suddenly appeared right in front of android 13.

He extended his arm to punch him in the face but 13 grabbed his arm blocking his attack.

"Don't talk nonsense, with your power you couldn't even kill an ant" said 13 starting to turn multiple times with the boy's body.

He then knocked him to the ground, but Gohan recovered before he fell. However, 13 appeared before him with tremendous speed.

"Kaio-ken times twenty!" Gohan yelled using that technique after so long, and dodged 13's attack, but it moved faster.

"What's up? Is that all you got?" 13 asked giving him a fist to the face followed by a kick to the side, "Disappointing"

Android 13 punched Gohan in the chin causing Gohan to spit blood, but despite the blows he received, he didn't look hurt.

13 was puzzled.

'Not even with the Kaio-ken times twenty would I win, and that at this point I could finish Frieza without transforming myself' the boy reasoned, smiling.

13 reached out his hand creating a burst of energy but Gohan grabbed it back as his raven hair stood on end little by little.

"You are much stronger than I thought! Now I will defeat you!" said Gohan transformed into Super Saiyan, and 13 was surprised to see him.

Android 14 slowly descended. He took Trunks' legm The boy remained on the ground after the powerful blows that the androids gave him.

14 was going to hit him on the ground again, but suddenly Trunks opened his eyes and shot a blast of energy at the android's face.

14 backed up, putting his hands to his face, and Trunks quickly settled back on the ground, keeping his back to his pod.

"Now you will see androids!" Trunks exclaimed as he turned Super Saiyan, and Android 15 started downing a flask.

After that, he looked at 14. Then, both of them launched themselves at Trunks starting a hand-to-hand fight against Vegeta's son.

Trunks dodged each blow with ease. He expelled the aura from him and hit 14's face, then hit 15 towards the same place.

"Haaa!" Trunks yelled, launching a Ki blast towards that area, which soon exploded as a result of the young hybrid's incredible energy.

A curtain of smoke covered the site for a few seconds. And when it dissipated, the androids appeared but they were not unscathed.

15's glasses were destroyed, as was his hat. Both he and 14 had the carcass of his body shooting sparks, they were injured.

'Looks like it won't be difficult, and from what I'm seeing Gohan is on the same path' Trunks thought with a rather optimistic smile.

And sure enough, Gohan had the upper hand. 13 was unable to land a single blow on his opponent, who easily dodged him.

Gohan kicked 13's chin hard, sending him skyward, and the android froze before recovering.

"Brat!" 13 extended his arms towards him, until creating a red energy sphere with a spiral in the center, "Can you stop this?"

Gohan looked that sphere, which had enough power to destroy the planet. He didn't respond to 13, who without further ado, threw the powerful attack at him.

The sphere descended towards Gohan, and the boy made no effort, he simply kicked the powerful sphere back to him.

"W-what?" 13 looked at this quite puzzled and his attack came back at him, but he wasn't stupid so he dodged it. Otherwise, he would be dead.

And then, Gohan appeared on top of him. With his hands together he gave him an ax blow to the head sending him right with the rest of the androids.

Gohan landed next to Trunks. "Wow, you've defeated them. It's time we put an end to this"

Trunks nodded as 13 struggled to his feet. And beside him, the nearly destroyed androids 14 and 15 also rose to their feet.

"From this day on, you androids will cease to exist" Trunks asserted as he prepared a Masenko and Gohan made the same attack as him.

13 clenched his teeth imposingly. But suddenly, he charged blasts of energy and aimed it at androids 14 and 15, destroying them.

"H-How?!" Trunks exclaimed in disbelief.

Gohan looked at this in surprise, but his mind clicked and his body tensed. "Trunks move away!!"

Gohan started to charge a Kamehameha, and Trunks obeyed without understanding why, but he saw that 14 and 15's pieces were heading towards 13.

The pieces absorbed into his body. By then, Gohan had finished preparing for his fully charged attack, "Haaaaaaaa!"

And he released the powerful energy wave towards 13. The whole place was filled with light from the amount of energy that the boy's attack gave off.

What's more, the entire mountain disappeared. Fortunately, or unfortunately, it was not the mountain where the lunatic Dr. Gero's laboratory was located.

"Why did you do that?" Trunks asked curiously, and turning around he saw that the boy was more serious than usual, "What's wrong Gohan?"

"This time the enemy is very powerful" Gohan replied looking forward and Trunks did the same, and he was stunned to see the same thing as Gohan.

A barrier covered android 13, which looked very different. His hair, now red, stood on end. His vest vanished, and his skin turned bluish.

His height increased exaggeratedly, and his musculature as well. Trunks stepped back and to his surprise, Super 13 appeared in front of him.

Gohan couldn't see his move, and he wasn't quick enough to save Trunks either, who took a punch from Super 13.

The blow sent him into a mountain and Super 13 finished him off with the energy sphere he threw to Gohan moments before his transformation.

"Trunks!" yelled the little boy with a lot of concern and glared at Super 13, who flew towards him at an extraordinary speed.

Super 13 extended his massive fist to crush him but Gohan jumped out of the way. But the great android took hold of his leg.

"Aaaahh!" Gohan yelled in pain due to the iron grip, and this was further as Super 13 threw him against the forest as if he were a doll.

Gohan dragged several trees with him and after a few seconds he recovered, but Super 13 was already in front of him. He was so much faster!

"Ughhh" Gohan let out a mouthful of blood as the android landed a punch to his stomach. But he didn't give up, "Masenko!"

The attack hit Super 13's torso but barely did any damage, Gohan slipped and swept across the android's legs, knocking him to the ground.

But Super 13 grabbed his leg again, this time delivering a powerful knee to his back that reverberated across the surface of the sprawling forest.

"AAAAAHHH!" Gohan felt more than one bone break from the blow and Super 13 threw his body to the ground before crushing his back.

The boy continued to release more blood from the internal wounds on his body. He couldn't concentrate for the healing technique.

"Burning attack!"

Suddenly, an orange sphere landed on Super 13's back. It was Trunks, who made a monumental effort to launch the attack.

"D-Damn, I-I won't let you keep hurting Gohan… I won't!" Trunks yelled running towards the android. He was angry.

"W-wait!" Gohan implored him getting up, but to no avail. Super 13 grabbed Trunks and he smashed his head into the ground. Then, he kicked Trunks' body.

Trunks fell unconscious returning to his base state, and Gohan clenched his fists. He had never fought against such a powerful being.

In the movie Goku killed him by absorbing the energy of a Spirit Bomb, but he didn't think this monster would give him time to do it.

He had many techniques but the difference between his powers was too big to do them. So he had to overcome his raw power by whatever.

'Using the Kaio-ken in this state is quite risky' Gohan thought seeing how Super 13 walked towards him, 'I have no other choice!'

Gohan removed the gi from him leaving his torso exposed. He closed his eyes trying to restore even a little of his energy for what he was going to do.

Super 13 started to run towards him, but Gohan suddenly expelled his Super Saiyan aura making him back up into the strong blizzard.

"Haaaaah!" Gohan yelled releasing more energy from his body, and his hair began to flash, standing on end more than he normally used to.

Instead of holding back the energy like he did in the controlled Super Saiyan fofm, now he was releasing all the energy from himself.

Every nerve in his body strained to transmit Ki to the muscles causing his musculature to increase greatly.

The veins of his body were marked as never before. This due to the great tension involved in retaining so much Ki in his muscles.

Super 13 stepped back and Gohan took a few steps forward, a smile on his face. This was the second grade of Super Saiyan.

Also known as Ascended Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan Dai ni Dankai!

"Let's continue the battle where we left off" Gohan stated getting into position, "If you're Super 13... Then I'm Super Gohan!"
