71 Chapter 71: Androids (2)

Trunks raised some rubble, helping several people who were trapped out of it, but suddenly he noticed something incredible.

The sky glowed white for several seconds. And there was Gohan, floating with the aura of a Super Saiyan enveloping him.

'But for an instant I could see android 18, could Gohan have defeated her?' Trunks thought feeling his heart fill with joy.

That motivated him a lot. He had to evacuate all the civilians to see Gohan's final battle against those infernal monsters.

Oblivious to Trunks' happiness, Android 17 was puzzled by what he had seen.

His 18th sister was destroyed, and literally that child didn't lie. He didn't leave any trace of 18 as he blurted out, how was this possible?

"Damn brat! How could you take down 18?" 17 demanded clenching his fists as Gohan landed a few feet away, "Answer me!"

Gohan closed his eyes trying to replenish the life energy he had consumed making that attack. Then he opened them showing coldness.

"You'll be next, junk" Gohan spoke, extending his arm to create a blast of energy. 17's rage increased upon hearing him.

"Now you'll see!" exclaimed the android flying towards him to punch him in the face and Gohan stopped it.

17 extended his other arm so he could hit him hard and Gohan used his free hand to stop him, closing off any of his options.

"Ugh!" The android grunted in pain as Gohan violently expelled the aura from him and squeezed both of his hands, "Damn Saiyan!"

Gohan headbutted him hard in the forehead and followed up with several punches to his face, but 17 got tired of the beating and took to the skies.

"Die, bastard!" 17 yelled starting to shoot Ki blasts at Gohan, who released more of his golden Super Saiyan aura, "It can't be"

To his surprise, Gohan returned all of his blasts and decided to give one more gift to the android in order to defeat him, "Masenko!"

A powerful blast of energy came out of his hands, and 17 was stunned taking all attacks, including his own, against him.

Then, another huge explosion rang out in the sky that clouded the area with smoke. Gohan looked at this seriously, and shortly afterwards his eyes widened in astonishment.

17 was still alive. A blue spherical barrier was around him, and took it upon himself to protect him from all the attacks from earlier.

"Haha, what do you think?! No matter how strong you are, you won't be able to break this barrier, and I also have unlimited energy!" exclaimed the android.

Gohan looked at this with a trace of seriousness on his features. Then, he raised his right arm pointing towards where android 17 was.

"Are you deaf? I already told you..." 17 was literally struck dumb as an energy sword pierced his mouth rendering him speechless.

"Your voice is annoying" declared the young man after having condensed his Ki in the form of a sword, "But I'll finally stop listening to you, go to hell!"

Gohan cut the android into pieces leaving dozens of pieces suspended in the air, but he decided to finish him off. "Kame...Hame...Haaaaa!"

The blue energy wave completely destroyed every piece of the android leaving no trace of him. Gohan relaxed back into his base state.

He had beaten the androids, those terrible beings. His strategy of fighting each one separately and without prolonging the fight did work.

But 17 posed more problems than 18.

'If I continued like this I would have lost, there wasn't that much difference between our powers, and the unlimited energy would benefit him' he inquired with a sigh.

He performed three of the most powerful attacks on him in a few minutes. If it wasn't for the healing, he would now be passed out from exhaustion.

Although the controlled Super Saiyan nullified all energy drain, attacks like the Kamehameha still drained energy.

"Gohan! Hey Gohan!"

Trunks' voice sounded in the distance, and looking up he saw that the young man was running towards him brimming with enthusiasm. Of course, it was not for less.

"You were able to beat the androids Gohan! You're amazing!" Trunks yelled but Gohan suddenly fell to the ground, "Are you okay?!"

"Don't worry, I'm perfectly fine... Hehe, now you can rest Trunks, the nightmare has finished" murmured little Son, closing his eyes.

He needed to concentrate to restore his life energy. Trunks smiled as tears threatened to well up in his blue eyes.

'Master Gohan, it's all over' Trunks thought looking at the sky with a smile, and the silhouette of the deceased Gohan appeared in the middle of the clouds.

The people who were in the surroundings came out from hiding from him. They had witnessed everything that had happened recently.

"The androids have been defeated!"

With that scream, the people yelled in happiness. Many cried, others laughed, and some cried laughing. Yes, it's finally over!

After nearly twenty years of suffering at the hands of those monsters, someone finally killed them. And his savior was just a child!

Seeing that everyone was running to cheer Gohan, Trunks took him in his arms and took to the skies towards Capsule Corp. His mother must have known.

"Listen everyone the news! The androids have just been defeated by a mysterious and strong boy with golden hair"

Bulma widened her eyes at the sound of the radio. Just then, her son Trunks appeared in the doorway with Gohan in his arms, "Mom, he did it!"

"Yeah! I just heard it on the radio!" Bulma's eyes sparkled like never before, "He's formidable, he managed to defeat the androids."

"Yeah, I still can't believe it!" added the young man with a smile, "After so much time, so many deaths... peace has finally returned"

Trunks left Gohan's body on the couch. He sat next to him as he put his head in his hands, "It's unbelievable... the androids died."

"Trunks, son… since you were born in a time of war, it's only natural that you feel bewildered now that there is peace, but relax" Bulma pointed out.

Trunks looked at his mother and with a smile nodded. "You're right, tomorrow I'm going to help rebuild the cities, is that okay with you?"

"Of course! I'll help too, the materials Gohan brought are very useful" Bulma answered with her eyes shining.

"I'm in too!"

Mother and son looked down noticing that Gohan was slowly getting up, but Trunks spoke up, "You should rest, Gohan!"

"No! I'm fine, I was just restoring my energy" Gohan reassured him smiling, "It's another great technique I learned in Yadrat"

Trunks looked at him dumbfounded, but smiled. "You always surprise me in some way"

They both guffawed and Bulma joined them, not because she found it funny but because she was happy with how it all turned out.

"Now what are you going to do? The time machine will take 8 months to recover for another trip" Bulma asked looking at Gohan intrigued.

"I didn't just travel to defeat the androids" Gohan replied getting up, "Now we have to resurrect all those who were killed"

"E-eh? B-but there are no dragon balls" Bulma was in shock and Trunks was the same, but Gohan's face was quite calm.

"Well, there are in the planet Namek, don't you remember that we fought Frieza there?" asked the boy with a beaming smile.

"It's true! B-but I don't know where it is and besides it would take a long time to get there even with the best ships" Bulma added incredulously.

"I brought plenty of ships, but I also have..."

"The Instant Transmission! With that technique it is possible to travel to the planet Namek in the blink of an eye" Trunks commented happily.

Bulma looked at Gohan to see if that was true, and when the boy nodded she burst into tears. Trunks approached her a little worried.

"Uuhh... I'll finally be able to see Goku, Krillin and the others again, after so many years" Bulma said between sobs and hugged her only son.

"Yes mom, and I'll be able to see my master" said Trunks, whose eyes became teary at the thought of that idea, and Gohan smiled happily.

"Bulma, do you know where Dr. Gero's lab is roughly?" Gohan asked changing his facial expression to a stern one.

Bulma listened to Gohan's words and broke away from Trunks, wiping the tears from her eyes with her son's blue jacket.

"I read a long time ago that it was located in some mountains in the northern capital, why?" asked the beautiful woman a little intrigued.

"As crazy as he was, Gero was a genius. In his lab there must be materials that will be quite useful to you" Gohan answered.

"Mmm, you're right," Bulma murmured with her hand on her chin, "But first get some rest."

Gohan nodded leaning back on the sofa, and Bulma went to the kitchen to get them something to eat, she had never felt so happy.

She felt hopeful.

The news about the defeat of the androids had spread throughout the planet in just one day, as expected, they searched for their hero.

Reconstruction work started fairly early. The androids destroyed nations, and now they had to rebuild them.

But unfortunately all the people killed could not come back to life. Sure, they were unaware of Gohan's plans.

Gohan left with Trunks for the northern capital a few hours ago. And they were exploring the mountain looking for Gero's lab.

"This is it" Gohan pointed to a massive steel door a few feet away and Trunks nodded. The two descended towards it, and stood in front of it.

Trunks fired a small Ki blast destroying her instantly. So, they both went in and turned on the lights in the room.

There were some capsules with numbers on top of each one. Capsules 17 and 18 were open, and the others were hermetically sealed.

"W-what does this mean?" Trunks asked.

"They're more androids, if you look at capsules 17 and 18 they're open" Gohan answered seriously and Trunks nodded, 'I have to find Cell'

Gohan walked around that lab taking the blueprints he saw, and at the end of the hallway he saw stairs leading to a basement.

"What will be down there?" Trunks was somewhat intrigued and he followed Gohan, but suddenly a burst of energy crashed in front of them.

"I don't recommend going to that place"

Gohan turned to see a grey-haired man wearing a cap, a sleeveless vest that exposed his torso, and green pants.

He was standing next to a gray-skinned giant man with hair in a braid, and another purple-skinned dwarf with glasses and a green beanie.

"Who are you?" Trunks asked with a frown and looked at Gohan, noticing that the little boy was surprised, 'What's wrong?'

'Can not be!' Gohan thought confused.

"I am android 13, doctor Gero gave us the mission to protect the place you want to access" spoke 13 with a smile.

"A-Android 13?" Trunks was puzzled.

"They are androids 14 and 15, and now they will destroy you" 13 introduced the other two, and looked at Gohan, "You must be Goku's son, right?"

Gohan clenched his fists, never expecting these androids to show up. Truly Trunks's timeline was more problematic than usual.
