The martial arts tournament would be in two weeks, and everyone was preparing to do their best during the event.

Vegeta was with Trunks in the gravity machine, and now that he knew that Gohan would participate, he was more motivated.

"Harder, so you can't beat Kakarot's son and Raditz's daughter!" Vegeta exclaimed making his son tremble, who swallowed hard.

Goku and his brother were exchanging blows in some kind of training in front of the Son family house. They sparred.

"I'm really looking forward to the tournament finally starting, I want to see how powerful we've all become" Son commented with a smile.

"Hmpf, there's no mystery, the finalists will be Gohan, Vegeta, you and me," Raditz declared with a confident smile, "Or am I wrong?"

"Who knows, I prefer not to underestimate anyone"

After Goku's comment, they faced each other again. And meanwhile, Chi-Chi went outside to hang the clothes and saw them fighting.

"They would have to agree not to go Super Saiyan, I highly doubt the tatami would withstand it" Chi-Chi chimed in, remembering the last tournament.

'It's impossible for him to have dodged at such a short distance' Raditz inquired without understanding the reason.

"It's definitely going to be a fun tournament" Goku commented after seeing that, not even he could see the movement of his son, 'What speed!'

"By the way Gohan!" Chi-Chi called out to him and in an instant Gohan appeared, "I spoke to Bulma a few hours ago and it seems that everything went well."

"He has made a file as you requested and sent it to a great institute. They have accepted you and you can join from tomorrow" said his mother.

"Great, then I should buy school supplies" Gohan commented smiling even though he could easily create them using magic.

"Instead of wasting time with bullshit you should keep training" Raditz snorted with crossed arms, "Studying won't make you win"

"For now I want to rest, I just verified that to win the tournament I don't need to train" Gohan said in a mocking tone.

"Hey brat!" Raditz complained angrily.

"That was good Gohan!" Goku said chuckling.

Raditz gritted his teeth and seeing Launch laughing made him redden. Perhaps because of the anger or the shame that he felt. Or maybe for both.

Today he had to go to class. Gohan got up early to do his exercises, last night he was watching a movie with Goten.

He took a shower. He took a white shirt and black pants to dress. Meanwhile, Goten was waking up, little by little.

"Brother where are you going?" he asked with a yawn.

"I'm going to class. When I get back we'll continue training so get some more sleep" Gohan said smiling and rubbed Goten's hair.

"Go... Good luck brother" Goten went back to sleep and laid down again. Gohan smiled.

"Hopefully everything goes well today" Gohan muttered getting ready to leave. He would eat breakfast and then leave his house. Maybe flying.

The school was many kilometers away, but we are talking about someone who traveled the solar system in several seconds.

Said school was in Orange Star City, a city north of Mount Paoz. The school had the same name and was the main one in the region.

The students had found out that they would have a new partner. They didn't know who it would be, so they all launched their theories.

"How do you think he's the new one? Handsome? Smart?" a beautiful young blonde asked looking at her two friends, "I'm curious"

"Or maybe one more geek, Erasa" an athletic-looking boy declared with his feet on the table, "We could use someone sporty"

"They never win a major tournament anyway" spoke a black haired girl crossing her arms, "Right Shapner?"

"Don't be so cruel Videl" Shapner implored.

"Silence, it's time to start physics class" the teacher declared entering the room and the students fell silent and took out their books.

And the physics teacher was just getting ready to start the lesson when suddenly the door to the room opened, "Hey, who is it?"

"Sorry I'm late, I'm the new student" Gohan introduced himself scratching the back of his neck. He could have arrived earlier but he wanted to add drama to the scene.

"Oh, so you're. You can come in"

Gohan took a step forward. He was the emperor of the universe and commanded hundreds of soldiers, he didn't have to be nervous.

"Hello, everyone, my name is Son Gohan. I hope we can all get along well" the boy simply introduced himself to the group.

"Very well Gohan, you can sit wherever you like and have your classmates pass you notes. Now the class will start" the teacher spoke.

Gohan nodded and it didn't take long for him to find a space. All eyes were on him, and most concluded that he seemed to be a simple boy.

"As he said, a geek," Shapner muttered.

Videl stepped on his foot and pushed his materials closer when he saw Gohan come to sit there.

"Oh, can I sit here?" Gohan asked.

"You can. I'm Videl, nice to meet you Gohan" the girl smiled but she frowned, "You sound familiar to me"

"Oh, when I was little I did a TV show where I played a tree... please don't judge me for it" Gohan implored clasping his hands together.

"Hahaha calm down, I won't judge you" Videl laughed amused, "And well, they are Erasa and Shapner"

"Hello Gohan!" Iresa exclaimed smiling.

"Since you guys are so talkative today, can anyone remind me where we were going in class yesterday?" asked the annoyed teacher.

"In Newton's laws professor" Gohan responded to the touch leaving everyone silent.

"Y-yes it's true" the teacher said without understanding and resumed the explanation of the class. Everyone was looking at poor Gohan as if he was an alien.

"Hey, how did you know that?" Videl asked.

"Well I read it in your notebook hehe" Gohan pointed to the sheet Videl had been writing on.

"Nice trick" Videl smiled, now he understood.

"Thanks to you" the boy smiled back.

The classes advanced and after this physics came two more until the end of the day. The students were already leaving.

"Hey Gohan, are you coming with us for a drink?" asked Iresa. With her were Shapner the jock and Videl who was watching Gohan.

"Sorry, I have several things to do today. Either tomorrow or some other time" Gohan said with a nervous smile, "See you tomorrow then!"

"Bye!" Iresa said goodbye raising her hand.

'I like him, although there's something strange about him. He seems like a nice guy anyway' Videl mused.

Gohan walked away from them. It had been a great first day since he wasn't exactly someone who lived his life surrounded by people.

"The bad part is that I already know what they're giving in class" Gohan muttered dejectedly.

And suddenly, someone made him fall and pushed him against a wall. Immediately his dark eyes collided with those beautiful blue eyes.

"Now I really beat you, right?" asked the girl in front of him. That she was none other than 18!
