3 Plan

As a streak of orange lightning goes through Central City, it eventually ends up at the cemetery.

Barry's figure came to sight, as he stood in front of a certain grave stone, namely, his supposed father, Henry Allen.

His expression was blank, as he simply gazed at the sentimental rock, deep in thought, 'Perhaps I was wrong... Just staring at his grave feels like my heart is being stabbed.'

'I guess I misunderstood how memories work. Each individual memory has some sort of emotion behind it, be that happiness or sadness, and depending on the intensity of the emotion, I can still feel it. Fortunately I can squash certain feelings such as his love for Iris.'

Extending his hand, he softly brushed his fingers over the stone, "I'll see what I can do, to make you proud."

Taking a deep breath, he exhaled soon after, accepting that he's now become Barry Allen, the Flash.

An instant later, he vanished, as he zoomed across the streets, before entering Star Labs, into the Cortex where everyone was gathered, with a powerful burst of air.

Before Barry could speak, Cisco stepped forward with a regretful expression, "Listen Barry, I just wanted to apologize about the whole imprisoning thing, it was messed up and I should have trusted you."

Barry just silently smiled with a hesitant expression as he nodded.

Caitlin was the next as she said, "I also want to apologize, I can see how what we did may seem as betrayal. But we genuinely did want the best for you."

Then Iris, "Yeah Barry, we're all sorry, you know we didn't mean to hurt you."

It was silent as the three glanced toward Harrison Wells, before he sighed, "Perhaps our method was a bit crude, we are supposed to be a team, and imprisoning one other, indicates that we distrust you, which we clearly don't."

Barry chuckled at his rather stubborn choice of words, as a light smile appeared on his lips, "I appreciate it guys, but let's talk about this later, for now we need to focus on beating Zoom."

However, inwardly he helplessly shook his head, 'As kind as you guys are, you are too much of a liability to my enemies, and wouldn't agree with my method of doing things in the future... So if I'm right, you guys will be permanently gone by midnight.'

The thought of doing Hero business alone didn't really worry him. He was confident that he could learn Cisco's computing skills, and Caitlin's biology skills by using his speed reading, and some focused dedication, it wouldn't be too hard.

And when it came to strategies or overall intelligence that Harrison Wells provided, he believed he could also do the same.

'Sometimes it feels like Barry forgets who he is—the Flash. His potential is limitless and teammates are just weaknesses. But I also understand the importance of companionship. Unfortunately, they're not the right fit for me. Perhaps the future Justice League will be.' He couldn't help but entertain the idea of being the one to assemble them, considering they hadn't been created yet.

Barry's mind started to buzz with ideas, before focusing back on the present as he discontinued his Speed Thinking.

Harrison Wells spoke as he asked, "What was the plan you mentioned earlier, Allen?"

He smirked, "This is."

Barry's figure abruptly started to vibrate rapidly, until suddenly contorting as another figure appeared beside him, looking identical to himself.

Cisco raised a brow, with a hesitant smile, "While it's cool that you managed to learn Speed Mirage from Harrison Wells, how is it supposed to help you? It's just an after image, which can't really do much."

Barry lightly laughed as he shook his head, "Not quite Cisco. This isn't a mirage."

Everyone's eyes furrowed at his words, as Harrison Wells seemed to have realized, "Are those actual clones? Some sort of Speed Clones perhaps?"

The identical looking Flash, nodded in confirmation, "In the flesh."

Cisco's mouth was practically left agape, "What the hell? Are you saying theirs two of you now?"

Iris herself couldn't hide her astonishment, "Since when could you do this?"

Barry shrugged nonchalantly, "I realized my imagination was pretty much my limit while I was running around the city. So I decided to experiment."

And he wasn't lying, he realized that their were many techniques available to those who can use the speed force, this was actually his second time trying it, as he got the idea from Godspeed.

"What do you guys think?" Both Barry's twirled in amusement as their voices synchronized.

Harrison Wells interjected with a more serious tone. "While this is a useful ability, how do you plan to apply it to defeating Zoom? Not to mention there must be some sort of downside to it."

He nodded, confirming Harry's suspicions. "You're right, there is a downside. My speed will continuously be cut in half with each clone, equally distributing it among us." Right after, his clone vanished.

"But I plan to use my double to fool Zoom, allowing me to take Joe when he lets his guard down. Then, I'll immediately combine with my clone to regain my full speed, promptly beating him. Nonetheless, with the Tachyon Enhancer, my speed is still enough to deal with Zoom."

While they remained unaware, even if his speed was halved, he would still be Mach 26.4, which is well above Zoom, who was somewhere around Mach 14.

The others looked at him with suspicion, wondering where he was getting his confidence from, Iris walked forward as she rested her hand on the side of his arm, "Barry are you sure about this? Zoom is faster then you, even when your at your peak state, how do you expect to beat him with only half of your speed?"

Barry smiled, "Trust me, I got faster." Putting some distance between him and Iris, he disappeared in a flash, startling the others.

Cisco glanced at the screen in front of him, as it showed Barry still inside Star Labs, specifically located in the training room, where he could test his speed, by running in a circle.

"Guys! You might wanna look at this!" He loudly remarked, his eyes glued to the screen.

The others gathered behind him as they watched the computer screen in shock, it was showing live footage of Barry running circles.

But what was surprising them, was his speed.

Cisco kept counting the displayed speed as he simply watched in complete bafflement, "Mach 17.4!? Mach 23.4! Mach 30.2! He's going even faster!"

Harrison furrowed his brows, "When did he suddenly get faster? His projected speeds currently should be around Mach 13."

Iris's expression brightened, "What does it matter, if he's this fast, he can definitely save Dad." Wally nodded in agreement.

Caitlin herself just watched as the number continued to rise.

After a few more seconds, they finally saw as the number stagnated.

Cisco shook his head in disbelief, "He really hit Mach 52.8."

An instant later, Barry reappeared in the Cortex, slightly breathing heavily from running at his full speed.

"You've been holding out on us Barry?" Cisco questioned, doubt in his tone.

The others also looked at him confusedly.

Barry just shook his head, "I've come to realize that how fast I am depends on my mental state and connection to the Speed Force. And after my dad's death, my emotions were so volatile that I got a surge of speed, I noticed it when I was in the cell earlier, which is why I got faster all of a sudden."

Caitlin nodded understandingly, "That make's sense."

However, Iris couldn't help but be perplexed, "Is that really how it works? Like why does it seem so flimsy? Doesn't that mean you could reach your full potential with a simple mood swing?"

Harrison Wells hummed in thought, as he interjected, "Perhaps that is possible, but as we know, the Speed Force is something beyond our understanding. It's not something we can look at with logic or science."

Barry then interrupts as he says, "Regardless, Cisco we need to vibe Zoom in order to find out where he wants to meet."

Cisco nodded curtly, "You're right. We don't have time to waste. I'll prepare it right now." He wasted no time in leaving the room, followed closely by Wells.

In a few minutes, after finishing setting it up, everybody relocated to the training room, as Cisco adorned a plastic helmet of sorts.

Everyone watched from all around, as Barry and Cisco stood at the center.

Cisco then started to briefly explain on how to vibe, "It's the same way we took Iris into the Speed Force, Harry does his best Frankenstein, you hold my hand, and I vibe you there."

"Alright, lets do it."

Swiftly after, Barry and Cisco clasped hands, causing Barry's vision to contort.

Before finding himself on Earth-2, staring at Zoom who was inside some sort of warehouse with an unconscious Joe in the background.

Barry smirked as he spoke, "I'll do the race, just say when and where, and I'll be there."

Zoom seemed surprised as he remarks, "Cisco's learned how to bring people into his vibes."

Barry continued as he said, "And I want you to bring Joe, in an unharmed state, if not, the deals off."

Zoom nodded, "I'll bring him, but I won't release him until after we race... Deal?"

Barry returns the nod, "Deal."
