Ren

So far, I've spent about a day processing everything that's been shoved to my face.

First of all, I am really in another world, and I am totally not dreaming. So I tried to stay calm while going through everything that just happened. So first, I died. Then talked to a God who claims to be the God of Justice about being reincarnated, I asked to be a tree, so yeah, he made me into a tree. A Demon Lord that's a tree… for some reason.

It's still really unbelievable, I hope I'm dreaming... I just want to suddenly wake up and have my instant noodle breakfast.

So yeah, from then I can piece together a few things:

-From the status display, my name in this world is Abies.

-I'm a Demon Lord, which I said to that lying God that I did not want to be.

-When I say "status", a status display comes up in front of me like a holo display.

-I really am a tree, a 9-foot red tree and I can move every branch like an arm.

-Lastly, there are 6 figures following me. I call them figures because they just CANNOT be humans.

"Ahh, it's so stressful." I tried to massage my imaginary head with my imaginary hands.

The most intimidating one is probably at least 8 feet tall, wears a cool yellow kimono, and has three horns protruding on the back of his head which looks really hard. He has a slightly tangible red aura emanating from him, and it became stronger when I said I spoke human. Is human considered a language or is he referring to what humans speak?

Wait, so creatures in here speak English? How come?

Then, there's a cute girl who is most likely an elf since she has cute pointy ears, and she's small. To add, she wears a short sleeve top and a freaking hakama which just adds to her cuteness. Ugh, just thinking of an elf being my follower makes me blush.

And there's this big hunk of black, gold, and red metal armor that's probably double the size of the other figures. I don't know if it's a he or she, but it definitely looks cool. The big sword on it's back just amplifies the spooky, dark aura it emits.

Then the twins, ahhhh yes, twins, well all I can say is that they are probably the ones who look closest to being a human. They have beautiful light skin, almost golden blond hair in a ponytail, and they wear skintight suits that outline their body. Those, plus the badass looking bow on the back of the other twin. While the other one doesn't seem to have any.

That's that. What do I do from now on, do I study my abilities?

Come to think of it, what's this status display? Am I the only one who has it? Oooh, is that like, my isekai power?

Hmm, Transfer Consciousness, Nature Magic, and Fruit of Yggdrasil... Isn't that the World Tree in Norse mythology?

"And Nature Magic huh." I mumbled to myself as I was studying my abilities. How do I use them? What do they do?

I can't help but ask these questions to myself.

Nearly an hour passed, which, I spent trying to activate my magic like shouting Nature Magic together in different tones, intonation, and speed, but I probably just sounded stupid.

Suddenly, a soft voice came from behind me, "How are you, my Lord?"

And if I were to be completely honest, that voice was soothing enough to make me sleep, but, no matter how soft that voice was, it scared the living crap out of me because I've been in a state of constant anxiety and unease ever since getting here.

I looked behind me, and I saw the small woman that looks just like how I imagined an elf would look.

"I… I'm fine." I replied.

To which, the woman simply smiled and-- is that a blush? Oh, wow that's just cute.

After a brief moment of silence, the woman walked in front of me and said, "You seem to be confused, my Lord"

This is my chance, I could ask questions.

"Yes, yes I am deeply confused." I replied in a low tone.

Hearing that, the girl's eyes lit up. "Well then, ask me anything, My Lord!" She exclaimed, followed with a very deep and genuine expression of warmth that made me feel really important.

For the first time ever since getting into this world, I felt calm.

Okay, Satoshi, think straight, what do you want to know?

After pondering for a while on what to ask, I finally decided to ask her name first.

Hearing that, the woman seemed to have felt down, her warmth disappeared, replaced by what I can notice as deep sadness as her eyes looked down and the surrounding air began to feel chilly and cold.

She looked at me, "Have y-" then she looked down.

"My name is Ren, my Lord." She whispered in a low tone.

"Ren, a nice name" I mumbled to myself

Afterwards, she clenched her fist and whispered, "Have you forgotten me, my Lord?"
