I'm Finally a Tree, But Why am I a Demon Lord

Botanist Satoshi Ki suddenly dies, meets a God, and got reincarnated as a tree. Or so he thought (on hiatus) Disclaimer: This novel follows a (kinda) omniscient pattern or when the author scrutinizes the characters to get a deeper knowledge of them and the world so if you are the type of reader that only wants to see the mc, you've been warned ;)

Injustice?!

Long after Graslis left, the four subordinates stood there. Unmoving. Hesitating and pondering about what had just transpired.

Slowly moving herself away from Maxis, Ren sat down at the wilting grass in the cave. "So, Glu...Glut's..death wa...s useless?" She weakly spoke.

"It is, Ren." Maxim clenched his fist, and he clenched it so hard that blood started seeping from the gaps between his fingers.

Ren looked up. Slowly realizing that her dear friend, Glut, died because he was trying to protect an impostor. Tears welled in her eyes. Not long, she sobbed. But this time, there was no metal shoulder to catch her weeping face.

Seeing her, Maxim closed his eyes. "I shall never forgive that otherworlder." He said, before following Graslis's footsteps.

On Maxim's departure, only Iris and Ivy were left in the room. "Sister, I would like to travel to another forest. " Iris tugged Ivy's dress while looking at the ground.

There was no response from Ivy, she simply looked around the cave, slowly wilting, losing its vigor and life. She grabbed a star-shaped leaf and laid it in front of her palm. "Then I shall come with you, sister." She smiled, closing the fist that held the leaf.

"How about you, Ren?" She looked back and asked Ren who is still sobbing at the Death of her friend. She lowered herself in front of Ren, holding both her hands that are drenched in tears and sweat. "Want to come with us?" She smiled.

"No… I… I will come with… with Maxim." She replied in a thick, dreaded voice.

"Then we shall accompany you to Lord Graslis's manor." Ivy whispered, patting Ren's head. "You are still weak to travel alone."

"Than...thank you… Ivy." Ren whimpered, taking her hands back.

"See what you did?" The God suddenly spoke, jolting me awake. "You've betrayed their loyalty, granting them with great injustice." He continued in an angry tone.

"THEN WHAT COULD I HAVE DONE" I stood up, clenching my fists as I continued to shout in front of the God. "YOU PUT ME IN SOME DEMON LORD WHEN I WANTED TO BE A TREE. AND YET, YOU CALL WHAT I DID… INJUSTICE?!" I roared at the God's face.

The God just stared at me… not saying anything. It's pretty awkward. Will he talk?

Then a woman's seductive voice came from behind me. "He simply does not want to admit his wrongs"

I looked behind me and I saw a beautiful woman's face inches away in front of me. She...she is leanni...ing in facing at me—damn she's so beautiful.

"You can't even focus your thoughts while looking at me." She chuckled. "That's cute."

Why did she have to be so specific. It's embarrassing. "And who are you?" I replied, trying to fend her seduction.

"Well… I can be... yours." She slowly whispered, her luscious lips coming closer and closer to my ears as she spoke.

I swallowed a mouthful of saliva. Who is this woman?! Is she trying to seduce me? Cause if she is… it is reaally working. But these kinds of women are not trustworthy. "What do you want?" I frowned

"Nothing." She replied, driving her hands through my hair. "I simply wanted to see if your lips ar—"

"Stop it, Metune." The God of Justice interrupted her. With a loud "Hmph!" the woman distanced herself away from me, leaning towards the white walls of the room.

"So, Satowshi."

"Sa-to-shi."

"Shut up, you're still a kinda-mortal soul."

"Kinda-mortal? What is tha—"

"As punishment for your injustice, you shall be returned to the world you were in with the two humans that went together with you." He continued with his face up high.

Then he snapped his fingers. Reyna and Fern suddenly appeared beside me. Their clothes and hair disheveled, their eyes wide and their mouths shaking.

"Hey! What's happeni—"

"You shall be returned to the material world where you will atone for your sins."

"HEY TALK TO M—" I shouted, but interrupted when a huge hammer manifested in front of me, smashing itself unto the table while the God looked straight at my face.

"YOU FUC—" Satoshi's last shout resounded through the room as he, Fern and Reyna disappeared on a beam of light.

"Some God of Justice you are." The woman on the side suddenly spoke.

"Well, your job is tons easier than I have it." He replied, glaring at the woman. "Plus, I can't really kill him."

"Why is that?"

"Honestly, I have no clue. The occurrence of a mortal soul shining with a very bright and golden luster is not in the books."

"But isn't everything in your books?"

"Well, everything. Everything except the primordial era." He groaned, before a bookshelf appeared beside him, and he picked out a huge book.

Seeing that, the woman stood up and stretched. "Well then, I'll leave you to your thoughts." Then she disappeared.

"Why is that damn guy with me." The God grumbled to himself. "It's not like some heavenly injustice happened to...him. Something probably did. aaaAAAAAAAAGGHH" The God shouted, shaking the whole room with very strong tremors.

"I hate this. I need some coffee." He whispered before disappearing.

Meanwhile, down at the world, Satoshi found himself lying down in the exact same cave he was in before he 'died'.

"Great." He thought while lying down at the bed of grass that is slowly changing colors from brown to green.

"What a wonderful day." Satoshi whispered, before slowly sitting with crossed-legs. He heaved a long breath and looked to his side, seeing Reyna and Fern, lying down. Their hair, clothes and everything is cluttered and broken.

Wow, they're messed up.

"What happened to you two?" I asked, stretching my arms up.

They didn't answer. They simply looked at the smoking hot (literally) me, looked at the ground, looked at themselves and looked at me again. I mean, seriously did they go through heaven and hell?! Well they...probably kinda did.

I stood up and slowly walked towards them. I gently tapped Fern's arms and when I did, he recoiled away from me. Like someone touching hot metal. "Hey Reyna, do you both need some space?" I asked.

But she only stared at me. As if I'm some ghost—which I am. So I decided to not just bother with them. Phew, what a tiring sequence of events. I sighed then looked at the cave, and upon closer inspection, I could see the walls slowly turn green…. But they looked dead in the image that guy showed me, now they're… growing?

Yes! They're growing! How could this happen?! Sadly, I do n-o-t know as well. Could it be because of me? I walked closer to the walls, laid my hand on the interwoven vines, branches and leaves and closed my eyes. When I closed my eyes, I could feel it, feel every single strand of flora going around my hands… all the way to my arm…

I opened my eyes again and now, my arm is enveloped with plants. There's even small flowers! THIS IS FASCINATING. I tried it with my other arm and… IT DID THE SAME WHAT?! Oh.My.God. I have got to do this with my whole body.

After an hour of feeling small mini arms crawl up, surround and warm up my own body, I am now made out of roots, vines and flowers. I am now a bona fide walking tree, because I can't really move….

Eeeghhh…. Eeuueeghh. Nope. I can't. I can't move. How do I get out of this. Am I stuck in this forever...I'm getting claustrophobic now.

"HELP ME" I shouted at Fern and Reyna. But I'm facing away from them and I can't really see them…

"Please." I said, facing the ceiling. "Why are you guys even afraid of me…"

But yet again, no respons—

"Be...because you ha...ha..hate humans?" A female voice suddenly came out… Reyna!!!

"What?! No! I do not hate humans and for the record, I WAS human."

Then again, there was a moment of silence, I can only hear their cries and weeps.

"You know, nothing will happen if the two of you keep on hyperventilating over there."

Then, like an arrow set loose, Fern started shouting. "WELL IF I WERE TO MAKE YOU UNDERGO THAT TORTURE BY YOUR DAMN BROTHER AGAIN THEN WA-WAKE UP IN FRONT OF A G...GO..GOD" He paused, breathing very loudly. "THEN..THEN ONE SECOND Y..Y.Y..YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THAT PAIN AGAIN WO.WOW.WOOULD YOU BE FINE?! HUH?!"

Oh, right… that… I can still kinda feel the needles.

"Well…. It's traumatic, I guess, but nothing won't happen if you panic right?" I replied in a high tone, "Best thing you can do is suck it up and face reality Fern."

"Th...The reality o..of w.what?"

"That you are weak. Weak in front of those damned creatures. I do not know if I actually can, but my fruits can probably make you stronger… so will you help me now?"

"Fruits?"

"Yes! My mana fruits!" I shouted at the wall in front of me. "If Bettu became that big and strong then maybe you can too!"

Afterwards, I felt heat. HEAT?! I looked down and—I'M ON FIRE. I CAN'T MOVE. AGHHH. WILL I DIE AGAIN….oh, it doesn't hurt, great.

Before long, all the vegetation that surrounded me burned, turning to ashes, and I can move again!

I looked behind me, seeing Reyna in her very destroyed...clothes. I should look away. I cocked my head, avoiding Reyna and instead, I approached Fern. Laying my hand on his shoulders.

"I'm with you, you're fine." I said.

"Oh, please, you know less of this world than I do. What can you possible do. "

"I don't know.... Oh, wait!" I placed my hand on my chin. "Since I know less about the world… how about the two of you guide me?"

"Guide you where?" Fern replied.

"I don't know… anywhere!"

"Why would we do that?"

"Well, do you remember me asking you to be envoy?"

"Yea, the night before?" He mused. "What will I get?"

"Fun?"

He smiled, then looked at me. "But we can't travel with a monster, we also can't convince everyone you're an otherworlder."

"Why not? I can speak perfect English!"

"Well… monsters can learn how to speak english—remember your subordinates?" Reyna suddenly spoke behind me.

"Right… Maybe you could carry me as a potted plant?"

"As a plant?!" Fern asked, looking at me with a weird smirk on his face. "Are you joking?" he laughed.
