Botanist Satoshi Ki suddenly dies, meets a God, and got reincarnated as a tree. Or so he thought (on hiatus) Disclaimer: This novel follows a (kinda) omniscient pattern or when the author scrutinizes the characters to get a deeper knowledge of them and the world so if you are the type of reader that only wants to see the mc, you've been warned ;)

Adventure!

I quickly rode atop Bettu again and we ran back to the forest—Should I even take that pamphlet back?

I probably won't get any use for it anyways… But I haven't read the back part yet. Would the back part even benefit me? It might just be more nonsense… but is it really nonsense?

Ahh! Dang it, I should go for it.

Then, at that moment, like a quick intake of breath, sunlight broke. It poked through the grass, gave a light glaze of heat and blinded me with its bright morning light as I stared into it.

And just as the sun rose, hundreds of flowers suddenly popped up like waves on the grass and oh! I can't describe to you how beautiful that was. It's like dominoes but instead, they stand up one after another…

I quickly signalled Bettu to stop, placing my hand atop her head. I leapt down and started running towards the nearest flower which looks like a tulip that reached my chest… Then, exactly as I approached it, more flowers of different colors, shapes, height.

The air wafted with different fragrances, each of them harmoniously dancing in my nose and not going against one another. I ran around the plains, laying my hands on all the flowers I can. Wait… can I do that?

With yet another thought in mind, I held the flower closest to me which is shaped like a pair of lips and smelled like… mangoes? Well, okay then.

Wearing a smile and closing my eyes, I followed the course of mana through the flower and noticed that unlike on leaves, instead of directly going out, it would stay on the top of the flower, rotating round the pistils, petals, and stamens before exiting through the stigma in a straight sprout...interesting. So unlike leaves, mana essentially gathers and gets thicker in a flower? Hmmm, this was different compared to when I was in the chamber.

Then, I came up with an idea. I held out my hand towards the flow of mana and disrupted it like I would on the flowers before. My finger entered the flower and touched the flow and I felt as if a strong surge of water is going against it… is that mana? So then, I proceeded to enter my whole hand and just as my hand is halfway in to the flower. But just as my hand entered. My body became heavy, I felt a strong push from all around me. Every part of me felt painful, mostly my ears, my ears started ringing so loud while the air suddenly got strong and I felt like I'm standing on...air.

I opened my eyes, and I am—HNGNG! WHY AM I-WHY AM I?! OHMYGOD! OHM-HAAA!

Satoshi's brain went blank. Probably because when he opened his eyes, he is at a height that in all likelihood, is higher than Burj Khalifa. He started to breathe raggedly, screaming weird inhuman sounds and his eyes did not know where to look while his body began twirling and drifting under the strong winds and the cold air.

But at the same time, he is blank with wonder. Because up there, he could see the patches of flowers that built rainbows, the endless forest and the huge tree in the middle, and the grassy plains and hills and far mountains that stretched to the edge of his wide eyes.

Then, he stretched his arms out on to the horizon, grasping the beautiful world that surround him.

'It's so beautiful.' He thought while a tear started to well in his eye.

Suddenly, a strong buzzing came from below him. He looked down and saw his baby beetle, Bettu, flying with all her might towards him, leaving a beautiful trail of colors as she flew.

But just then, his lights started to flicker and the next thing he knows, he woke up in the middle of the camp, beside the campfire surrounded by the Reyna, Fern and Bettu who is snuggling on him.

"What happened?" Wasn't I in the sky—oh my god, the memories of that kills me.

"A very strong explosion happened over there." Reyna answered and pointed towards a big crater on the ground.

"And?"

"And we went there, returned, then when we got here, Bettu is laying you down beside the fire… she almost placed you into the actual fire." Fern laughed.

Huh… Wait…

"What happened there?" I tilted my head, looking at Reyna.

"Don't ask me, YOU were there." She squinted her eyes, "We looked there saw a huge mushroom and a huge hole in the ground."

"Did you do that?" Fern asked, crouching down on me.

"I-I honestly don't know—I was playing with a flower then when I opened my eyes, I'm in the sky!"

"Yeahh, right." Reyna mused. "We will leave any time now, ready yourself." Then she walked back to his tent and so did Fern

Huh. Okay then. So my near death experience can be dismissed like that?! Wow.

Then, I tried to sit straight but to my surprise. I can't. My legs feel so weak and so does my whole body. I kept trying again and again but every time I did, my legs would fail me and I would drop down with a silent grunt. Oh, wait.

Then, I latched on the nearest grass for a while and after a few seconds I left it. And wow, the difference is huge. The weakness in my legs is gone and my body does not hurt now.

Slowly, I stood up, patted Bettu's head then walked up to Fern's tent. Inside, I can see him tapping everything inside the tent with his fingers causing the items to disappear and looking at it is very fascinating and satisfying.

"Can I do that too?" I asked him.

Hearing my question, Fern rubbed his chin then answered, "Unfortunately no, only I can do that since it's my ring."

"W-well where can I get one?"

"The next town we stop by could have one!" He smiled, "What would you use them for?"

"Well, maybe to store my fruits? I'm kinda hesitant to make more since some accident might happen...."

"I see, like that beetle?"

Outside the tent, Bettu sneezed.

"Y-ye—no, Bettu wasn't an accident, she was my first experiment subject to see the effects of a fruit and since she ate a fruit that was more than ten times her size, I can hypothesize that a fruit of that size or smaller wouldn't harm you, maybe even if it is a little bit bigger than you. It might also depend on the amount of mana inside the fruit since what I made i—"

"Hey, stop." Fern waved his hand. "Write that down or something, you can give the fruit anytime you want."

Oh, well that was pretty embarrassing.

After a few minutes, Fern finally finished with packing all the things inside the tent into his ring. We went outside and he tapped his ring on the tent and it, too, disappeared… that thing is mad handy.

Then he looked at me, took a deep sigh then asked, "So! Are you ready to go?"

"You better be." Reyna spoke from behind me with a smirk.

"Y-yes! I am!" WHO WOULDN'T BE?!

"Well then, let's go!" Fern smiled as he opened his palms and a small, wooden box appeared in his hands.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"Where we will carry you." He replied.

"I can't actually latch on to wood you know..."

"Co-come on, I know that already—Here, help me pick some grass." He reasoned while he gave the box to Reyna and crouched to pick some grass.

"I actually need only one gras—"

"Shh, the more, the merrier and plus, it will look better than just one piece of grass right?"

"Well okay then."

and tapped my shoulders then bringing out a wooden box on which, there is a small sapling.

Latching on to the sapling on the box, the three of us sat on top of Bettu—well, technically it's only the two of them and I'm in a box but otherwise, we rode off into the direction t…

MY FIRST ADVENTURE! I wonder if carnivorous plants exist somewhere...

Then, 30 minutes into the venture... I remembered the pamphlet.

[You won't get another.] I heard a lady's voice in my head.

Well crap...
