1 I'm Ikaris

Black. That's what I can see right now. A dark void where my body is floating endlessly. My name is Nathan and I died saving someone from a bus. Yes a bus. Not a truck but a bus. To be honest, I'm quite happy that I died. My life turn upside down when my girlfriend cheated on me and acted as the victim. I lost my job, my friends and my money. My family disowned me and treated me like dirt so I guess this is the best way to get away from it all. I just want peace and that's it.

That's when a blinding light appeared and out came a figure who I thought was only in the comics. The figure's body is covered in bright yellow light and his presence makes you wanna bow. It's the One Above All.

"I see that you already know who I am." He said in a calm voice which surprised me.

"Well yeah. I saw you in comic books of my favorite superhero franchise." I answered.

"Well that's good that I don't have to introduce myself." He said as he smiles at me. "I guess you are confused in why you are here."

"It's because I'm dead?"

"Yes but I have something in mind." He said as he smirked at me that made me shiver. "How about I give you another chance in life. After seeing your memories, I pity you because of what you have gone through."

"I know. It sucks right? Being blamed about something you didn't even do." I answered with a sigh.

I started to tear up remembering the time when everyone turned their backs on me even my family. That stupid slut is the one at fault. Not me.

"That's why I want to give you another chance in life. But with a twist." He said.

"And that would be?"

"I'll put you in a random universe and see if you can make a difference there. If not, then you will ascend to heaven where you can finally have eternal peace." He suggested making me think about those offer. I hope this is worth it.

"I accept then." I immediately answered.

"Then good luck on your new journey my boy. Make a name for yourself and be the hero you always wanted." His eyes glowed before a portal appeared under me.

"Wait? A hero?" asked but it was too late as O was sucked inside the portal and everything went black.

"It's time." I what I heard until I forced my eyes open and saw people sitting around in a circle with a red statue in front.

Wait a minute. This guys look so oddly familiar. And the statue, looks a lot like Arishem in the Marvel movie The Eternals. I'm in the movie. No wait, did he send me to the MCU universe?!

They stood up as I did the same and walked towards the wall as our suit materialized around us. Mine is blue with golden linings. I immediately knew who I was that's why after the suit materialized, I went towards a window and saw my reflection. I saw that I look like Richard Madden who played Ikaris in the movie. Oh. That makes since. I am reincarnated in the MCU as the Eternal Ikaris.

I mean don't get me wrong, Ikaris is super strong. Even though he turned bad near the end just to finish his mission, He's cool in my book. Maybe I can change something since I am him now. Like my attitude with the others would change not like Ikaris in the movie. Let's just see.

I then heard someone walking towards me as I turned around and saw it was Sersi, Ikari's love interest in the movie but I am him now so something might change. I like Sersi but I want this specific girl to be the one.

"Beautiful isn't it?" She asked as she turned towards me.

I smiled and replied. "That it is. Ikaris."

"Sersi." She answered as we got back to watching our ship or what it is called as the Domo slowly approach Earth. This will be great. My second chance in life as a powerful Eternal.

We where then called in the middle by Ajak who I knew is the one in charge of the this mission. I already know what's going to happen in the future. That Arishem sent us here in a suicide mission just to help awaken the Celestial Tiamut. But I will keep quite for now and let the canon happen for now.

After being instructed, Me, Gilgamesh, Makkari, Kingo and Thena were the first one to go down since we are the ones with combat abilities.

"So this is the feeling of flying?" I ask to myself as I floated above the cliff.

We saw the Deviant closing in on the boy but I used my Cosmic vision to blast it away. I blasted it again before ramming it towards the sky as it grew wings. We started to fight in the air as it tried to slash away at me. I would dodge and punch it on the face. In the movie, Ikaris wasn't really a fighter but that will change now. I can see how strong he really as my punch sent the Deviant a few meters away.

It shook it's head and rushed back at me. I dodged and grabbed it by neck before throwing it and blasting it with my Cosmic vision burning it's side making its blood spill out. Deciding to finish it, I flew towards it and reeled my fist back before punching it's head off as the Deviant fell towards the water dead. So this is how it feels to be powerful and be able to fly. I a nerd who watches superheroes from my TV alone in a small apartment to becoming one in a different universe. It feels good and great to be able to do the impossible things.

I floated back to the others as I saw them finishing the last Deviant. I landed right beside Ajak who arrived with the others as she healed the wound on my shoulder that I didn't even notice.

"Thank you Ajak." I thanked her as she nodded and finished healing me.

We watched as Sersi walked towards the human boy and gave something to him as Ajak turned towards us and smiled.

"Great job, everyone of you. Now all we need is scout the area for more and kill them then we assist the humans." I nodded as I took to the skies and look around for more.

"This feeling is amazing. No wonder they always say flying is the best way to calm yourself." I said to myself as I flew around finding more Deviants. "I'll cherish this new life and save the people of Earth. Fuck Arishem, I'm gonna protect everyone on this planet and not let some giant ass Celestial destroy it."
